Inuyasha

Inuyasha’s and Ayame’s Beautiful, Happy Family drawn by me

Happy Mother’s Day everybody, especially to all of the moms, aunties, grannies, and awesome female role models out there. In honor of this very special day, here is my gift. A piece of Inuyasha fanart consisting of my OTP for life, Inuyasha and Ayame, along with their offspring.   So, here they are from left to right. Inuyasha, aged 35, the Alpha Male of the Northern Yoro Tribe Ayame, aged 32, his dearest and most loving wife Kenta and Keita, aged 16, the eldest twin sons Kaito, aged 15, the younger son and third child Momoko, aged 14, the elder daughter and fourth child Maya, aged 12, the youngest daughter   My little story behind this is that Inuyasha has moved on from Kikyo and has grown fed-up with Kagome’s constant nagging and scolding that he finally had the guts to leave her. Meanwhile, Ayame has also grown exasperated with Kouga constantly chasing after Kagome. As the two met one day in the forest complete with a lot of baggage in their systems, Inuyasha and Ayame initially vent out their frustrations towards each other. So much so, that a fistfight occurred between the two. After their bout, Inuyasha and Ayame complimented each others’ strength and combat prowess and have decided to hit it off with her introducing her grandfather to her new beau. Her grandfather was not at all convinced at first and initiated a challenge for Inuyasha to fight against an invading demon.   Come the day of the challenge and a huge, hulking, horned demon came roaring. Because of Inuyasha’s unparalleled strength, he was able to incapacitate the demon with his bare hands and claws, thus killing it. The Northern Yoro Tribe immediately welcomed Inuyasha as their own and he won Ayame’s hand in marriage. For that, a magnificent feast was held for the newlyweds.   After their marriage, Ayame desired to have children of her own. For that, Inuyasha and Ayame would have nights of passion after every battle they fought. Nine months passed, and Ayame gave birth to twins Kenta and Keita. Moreover, they had children one after the other all thanks to Inuyasha’s and Ayame’s exciting nights of passion.   Now with five children, Inuyasha and Ayame could not be any happier. In spite of all the ills and challenges, they know that they have each other as a family.   Now that the backstory is out of the way, let’s briefly talk about the children.   As the eldest twin children, Kenta and Keita have a responsibility to uphold as the heirs to the Northern Yoro Tribe. They have inherited their father’s brute strength, unwavering courage, and fierceness to the point where Inuyasha considers them his most favorite sons. Kenta and Keita have always looked up to Inuyasha as their role model and they have always aspired to be as strong as him. Growing up the twins have trained their bodies and minds to reach peak condition so that they can be able to fight alongside their father, mother, and siblings in battle. Every sunrise, Inuyasha would greet the twins by going to their bedroom and flexing his muscles, as they wake up to see their father in all of his battle-hardened glory and the twins would wake up, approach their father, and flex back. From there, a wrestling/boxing match would ensue between father and sons before and after breakfast and it would always culminate with Inuyasha, Kenta, and Keita having a laugh. In terms of distinguishing personalities, Kenta is the more large-and-in-charge, outgoing, macho twin while Keita is slightly kinder but still manages to be impulsive yet passionate. Due to their strong personalities, they would end up having skirmishes with each other and it would take the imposing presence of their parents for them to cease and desist. In spite of their skirmishes, they genuinely care for each other and have the strongest bond as twin brothers.   Kaito is a gracious, emphatic, and kind-hearted young man. However, one should be careful not to provoke nor taunt him, as he will unleash his fury all thanks to his brute strength, lightning speed, and unrelenting reflexes. While his older brothers, Kenta and Keita, are usually about muscle, Kaito relies more on tact when it comes to being in battle. He inherits both his mother’s eyes and his father’s features, as well as his mother’s highly-strung nature when it comes to getting things done. He loves nature, cares for every creature he sees, and does not want harm to come into any forest, mountain or natural resource. He was taught by both his father and mother the importance of healing and has, therefore, become reliable in knowing which plants and herbs to use on wounds or illnesses. Even though he is close to his father, he is much closer to his mother, as he finds her firm yet nurturing, soothing and kind. He does enjoy his older brothers’ company but he finds his younger sisters, Momoko and Maya, to be more approachable, thus being in touch with his feminine, sensitive side.   Momoko is an independent, free-spirited, tough young girl who enjoys sparring and does not let her inhibitions hold her back. She’s extremely close to her oldest twin brothers, even though she does tend to find their machismo rather annoying. Whenever Kenta and Keita playfully annoy her, she would always have Kaito by her side, as he shows a great deal of empathy and good cheer. Even though she does have a slightly rough outer shell, she can be sweet and be a bit of a softie to both of her parents and favorite elder brother, Kaito.   Maya is a jovial and flighty young girl who brings light, life, and love to her family. Her sunny attitude certainly makes Maya her mother’s favorite child and she brings a lot of unconditional love to her older siblings and her father. She is very playful to Kenta and Keita to the point where she enjoys…

The Two Merry Pranksters drawn by me

Well, this is certainly a BroTP I feel like has oodles of plausibility and in my mind feel like it could work. I’m of course talking about Hakudoshi and Shippou. Here they are giving each other a high-five and being rather jolly with Hakudoshi having that mischief in his eyes while Shippou is the one that’s purely euphoric. In this piece of fanart, Hakudoshi is 25 and Shippou is 24 going on 25.   If there is one thing I have to admit about the Inuyasha episodes after the Band of Seven or Shichinintai saga, it’s that the episodes after that saga range from indifference to absolute annoyance. There were side characters I never cared for and certain plot lines were more dragged out than I thought. That is until I saw Hakudoshi, as he seemed to have a certain dark charm that made him rather interesting. He was one of the very few characters I still stuck around for to some extent.   With that said, what would happen if one were to combine Hakudoshi’s battle-hardened nature with Shippou’s brand of being adorable? A stable and solid friendship would occur that would beat all odds, as I do think that Shippou kind of deserves a male friend his age. So, enter Hakudoshi who could be the one to build up Shippou’s self-esteem as a fighter using his own brand of tough platonic love. Shippou would even be the one to break the ice within Hakudoshi to reveal a softer side to him, in spite of the occasional defenses. Sure, as children they would be rivals. However, as time goes by, they would respect each other in a way that they would acknowledge each others’ strengths and weaknesses, thus helping each other overcome any obstacle.   Thanks for having a gander at this picture as well reading my post. Have a lovely spring.   Hakudoshi and Shippou from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi.

The Four Graces drawn by me

My dear viewers. I bestow upon you Rin, Kanna, Satsuki, and Souten, the four little girls of Inuyasha who have grown up to be lovely, elegant, and gracious young ladies. Their current ages in this pic are the following. Rin is 25 going on 26 years old, Kanna and Satsuki are 25, and Souten is 24 going on 25.   In spite of the fact that Rin and Kanna are recurring characters and Satsuki and Souten are one-time characters, I feel like these young ladies steal the show for being rather endearing in their own ways. What with Rin and her jovial personality, Kanna and her lethal silence wrapped up in an unsuspectingly lovely package, Satsuki and her overall innocence, and Souten and her mischievousness, I totally ship these young women as my SisT4, the female version of a BroT4.   In my headcanon for this quartet of young ladies, Rin is essentially the eldest and the leader of this quartet, as she has the most personality and she stands out rather well. She still has her jovial and jolly nature intact, as she knows when to let loose, and she is not bossy in the slightest.   Kanna is still the quiet one, but she feels rather comfortable with her great gal pals by her side.   Satsuki is the romantic creative with a bit of edge. One should never be fooled by her sweet attitude, as she is also a tough girl who is not afraid to put up a fight.   Souten is still the tomboy but given that she’s in her twenties she has become more ladylike. She’s essentially the bruiser of this group, so if anyone dares to hurt any or all of her homegirls, she will unleash Hell with her combat prowess.   Ergo, Rin has elegance, empathy, and kindness, Kanna has poise, class, and gentility, Satsuki has joy, laughter, and love, and Souten has strength, creativity, and endurance.   As for who I ship them with, well it’s obvious that I ship Rin with Kohaku as my OTP because I feel like they were destined for each other. Besides, I always saw Sesshoumaru as her adoptive father, thus making me a fan of not only Kohaku/Rin but also Sesshoumaru/Kagome, as they would make solid parents to Rin and Shippou and even more solid grandparents to Kohaku’s and Rin’s and Shippou’s and Souten’s grandchildren.   As for the other three, I ship Kanna with Souta because I do fancy the quiet girl and energetic boy type of pairings, Satsuki with Hakudoshi because I can and I am pretty sure they would help each other become stronger fighters, and Souten with Shippou because I can’t see any other girl with Shippou other than her and I am pretty sure that they would have a solid relationship. Yes, there’s also Satsuki but I see it more as a BroTP type of relationship with them being super supportive of each other.   Thanks for taking a gander at this piece of fanart and for reading this post. I wish you a most pleasant day.   Rin, Kanna, Satsuki, and Souten from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi.

A Most Indestructible Bond drawn by me

Ah, Kohaku and Souta aka Sango’s and Kagome’s little brothers. Well, they are not so little anymore, as in this picture Kohaku is 29 and Souta is 27 and are ripped. Moreover, I ship these two as yet another BroTP for life.   Ever since I was a young teenager of fourteen, I always knew that these two were meant for each other as really good friends and allies. With Kohaku’s withdrawn, quiet, yet lethal nature, he does act as a complement to Souta’s outgoing, vivacious, yet shy personality almost like Yin and Yang. Plus, if they were to meet, they would end up having a friendship and brotherly bond akin to Ryu and Ken Masters from the Street Fighter franchise, hence the gis that these two have, which are reminiscent of Ryu’s and Ken’s gis with Kohaku’s being forest green and Souta’s being cobalt blue because I thought those colors looked appropriate on them.   As these boys come of age, I can envision them getting to know each other and feeling good with each others’ company. Moreover, they would look up to Inuyasha and Ginta as role models, thus establishing a firm bond between these four. Kohaku and Souta would even be trained rigorously in hand-to-hand combat from dodging punches to grappling to incapacitating opponents. Ergo they would even have friendly sparring matches where they would go at it with each other and after every match, they would just chill and hang out like the bros that they are. As they grow older and stronger, they would use the fighting skills they have to take down any monster or demon effortlessly.   Kohaku and Souta from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi.

Sister Fist Bump! drawn by me

Now that we had the gentlemen in the forms of Inuyasha and Ginta, it’s time for their darling wives, Ayame and Shunran, to take center stage. Well, here’s a BroTP, or in this case SisTP pairing, I have been wanting to talk about for the longest time. I know they have not canonically met each other in the anime, but there’s something about the both of them that makes them click in my mind. It could be that they are gorgeous, fiery, redheaded ladies who have plant-based powers and have exciting personalities. It could be the plausibility of a friendship that only exists in fanon. Either way, I think they are platonically made for each other and here’s why. I could see Ayame’s and Shunran’s relationship as sisterly on so many levels. Ayame could essentially be the tough, strong-minded, elegant older sister and Shunran could be the feisty, sparky, perky younger sister. They could be the best and firmest of friends and even though Shunran does tend to get under Ayame’s skin, they would still genuinely care for each other. Plus, it’s absolutely alluring to see two fiery, lovely-looking redheads open up a can of whoop-ass, whether they do capoeira, karate, kung fu or even mixed martial arts. Going to their apparel I decided to let Ayame’s hair down because I can and I always wanted to know how it would look like. I kept their signature flower hair pieces and I gave them Capoeira attire akin to Christie Monteiro from the Tekken franchise. Moreover, I thought Ayame looked absolutely amazing in pine green and Shunran in teal. I hope you enjoyed this piece of fanart and this post. Until then, happy spring everybody! Ayame and Shunran from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi.

Beast Mode Engaged! drawn by me

Ah, Inuyasha and Ginta. While I don’t pair up these two as lovers, I certainly consider them to be my personal BroTP for life. Think about it. Inuyasha’s hotheaded and impulsive nature can certainly mesh well with Ginta’s submissive, placid, and hilarious personality in a brotherly fashion, thus making Inuyasha the tough, strong, rough stud of an older brother to Ginta’s equally strong, handsome, yet gentle and meek younger brother. So, for your viewing pleasure, here are Inuyasha and Ginta getting their pump on for all of you to see. Enjoy! Inuyasha and Ginta from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi.

Two Bros, Two Wives, and Two Sets of Kids drawn by me

So here they are from left to right. Rin and Shippou, Kagome Higurashi, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, and my InuAya fan children, Kenta and Keita. I mainly aged up Rin to be seventeen, Shippou to be fifteen, Kagome to be twenty-four, Sesshoumaru to be twenty-eight, Inuyasha to be twenty-six, and Ayame to be twenty-three. This was something I did back when I was a seventeen-year-old third-year high school student before I transitioned to senior year back in the spring of 2010. I did this as my final project in computer class, but when looking back at this, I realized I should have outlined, hence that’s why it appeared like this. Nowadays, I know better. Okay, enough beating myself up about it let’s get on to the picture itself. As you can tell, I am not only a hardcore Inuyasha x Ayame shipper but I also ship Sesshoumaru and Kagome all the way. Even more so, I decided to bulk up both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha to make them appear more warlike and badass. For Sesshoumaru and Kagome, I can certainly see them adopting Rin and Shippou to be their own children. Eventually, Sesshoumaru and Kagome would end up having hanyou children of their own to add to their happy family. The family dynamics would work with Sesshoumaru being the stern, strong, and calm father, Kagome being the spirited and doting mother, Rin being the fun-loving and sweet older sister, and Shippou being the adorable younger brother. There’s no doubt I love to ship Inuyasha and Ayame until the ends of the earth. They seem destined for each other. I also gave them their children, namely Kenta who is four and Keita who is three in this picture. I can envision Inuyasha as the manly, strict, brave, and tough dad and Ayame as the equally strong and loving mother. Moreover, I can see Inuyasha training his sons to be a great fighter like him. So, yes, this was something I kind of enjoyed doing when I was in my teens and it still has some sentimentality behind it. Inuyasha belongs to Rumiko Takahashi.

My Three Inuyasha OTPs drawn by me

Hey, everybody! Antoni, here, with another piece of fanart I made. This time it’s Inuyasha with three of my most beloved and favorite OTPs. From left to right we have Inuyasha/Ayame, Ginta/Shunran, and Kohaku/Rin. I aged them up to what I would think they would look like this year, even though I did make them look a lot younger than I expected them to look. In this picture, Inuyasha is 35, Ayame is 32, Ginta is 33 going on 34, Shunran is 31, Kohaku is 29, and Rin is 25 going on 26. Yes, I know I could’ve also drawn Sesshoumaru/Kagome, Miroku/Sango, Shippou/Souten, and Souta/Kanna, but there was apparently only room for three couples in my sketchpad. Moreover, I am a bigger Inuyasha/Ayame, Ginta/Shunran, and Kohaku/Rin fan because not only do I find these pairings absolutely adorable, but also plausible in their own ways. So, let’s not waste any time and talk about these respective pairings. Inuyasha/Ayame Given the amount of Inuyasha/Ayame fanfics, I have been recommending and, of course, reviewing, it should come off as no surprise that these two are my OTP for life. From the bottom of my heart, I always knew that Inuyasha should’ve ended up with someone more compatible. I mean, if I were in his position, I would move on from Kikyou, stay the absolute heck away from Kagome, and just settle with someone as tough, strong, and kickass like Ayame. Additionally, if I were in Ayame’s position, I should just let Kouga keep Kagome and I can run off with Inuyasha, with good old gramps giving his approval to someone as sturdy, strong, and steadfast like him. In terms of Inuyasha’s outfit, I did promise I was going to make something out of it after I reviewed darling krash’s fanfic A Hint of Hope, and I had an idea of how it should look. Since Inuyasha is essentially a warrior suitable for Ayame to be her loyal husband, I decided to make him look a little more tribal and dress like one of the wolf youkai, even though Inuyasha is a dog hanyou. Speaking of which, I decided to tap into Inuyasha’s full youkai side without the overall bloodthirsty nature he has in that state and make him have enhanced physical strength, given his physicality here. I also imagine him doing more hand-to-hand combat, as well as using his claws to take down his enemies. Overall, it was such a joy making a more muscular, more mature-looking, and more warlike Inuyasha, it was really envisioning him as this type of warrior. Moreover, I did keep Inuyasha’s trademark badassery, which was one thing about him I found so endearing. Ayame was also a joy to draw. I kept her signature outfit and I also decided to make her a little bit more womanly though still keeping her youth and vivacity. I can certainly see Inuyasha and Ayame fighting side by side on a battlefield and they will come home as the champions. After all of that, it’s a whole night of hot and steamy intimacy. I also envision them having children of their own, what with Inuyasha being the strong, no-nonsense, strict, yet open and cool father and Ayame being the supportive, well-meaning, and strong-minded mother. That also gives me an idea of making their fan-children. Overall, is there anything else I need to say about why I not only fancy the pants off of Inuyasha/Ayame but also love them as a couple? In my mind, they were definitely made for each other. Ginta/Shunran I have been toying with this idea of these two being together for many years. All of the sudden it hit me. No one has even thought about pairing these two together other than me. So, I guess it was up to me to give this coupling the light of day. Since I always saw Ginta’s and Hakkaku’s relationship as more platonic, as they act like fraternal twin brothers with their antics and chemistry, I thought to myself, why not give these two guys some lovely women to be their life partners. On the flipside, the Panther Devas, especially Toran, Karan, and Shunran, have been my favorite Inuyasha filler anti-heroes because of how well they work as a unit and just how fun they are in terms of their personalities. So, I kind of came to the conclusion that Ginta might as well take Shunran to be his mate and Hakkaku can take Karan. As I stated before in my fanfiction recommendation of “An Odd Pair” by JapanLurve101, I like the idea of Ginta and Shunran being together. When you have a nice, kind-hearted, hilarious, and sweet soul like Ginta pair up with someone as mischievous, spirited, vivacious, and cheeky like Shunran, it can actually make for a really adorable yet plausible pairing. At first, they might not agree on a lot of things and may have their own trust issues, but as soon as he sees Shunran in danger, I can imagine Ginta bucking up and saving her. Through time, they will actually grow to like each other, in spite of how different they are with Ginta being a wolf youkai and Shunran being a panther youkai. They will very much challenge and break the system, thus running off together. Plus, I am sure they will have a lot of great interactions with Ginta thinking that Shunran is cute, bubbly, and fun-loving and Shunran thinking that Ginta is hilarious, strong, and charming. With Ginta’s outfit, it is a variation of his trademark one in the anime though I did make a few changes to expose parts of his chest and torso. In terms of his personality, I see him being a lot more independent and strong while still being the gentle, goofy, and kind soul that he’s always been. Plus, he has beefed up a bit as he got older. With Shunran, I made a variation on her outfit while still keeping her trademark colors, as well as the…

Happy Easter, once again. Antoni, here, with another Inuyasha fanfic recommendation. This time I will be taking a look at Twenty Truths: My Daughter written by NalaxSimba and published on April 19, 2014. It’s rated T. It’s in English. It’s Family/Romance and the main pairing is Kohaku and Rin. Sesshoumaru is made to be Rin’s adoptive father, Jaken is still present as his lackey, and Inuyasha, Kouga, Ayame, and Kagome are mentioned. This fanfic is told in twenty themes chronicling Rin’s childhood, teenhood, and adulthood. So, I would say she ages from being 8 to 14 to 18 to her early 20’s. Out of all the Inuyasha couples, I truly love Kohaku and Rin when they are together. What makes them compatible as a couple is that they are not obnoxious with their bickering and squabbling, and they truly, genuinely, and purely care for each other. Sure, they may have been kids, with Kohaku being 11 years old and Rin being 8 years old, but they are a breath of fresh air compared to the whole soap opera antics that Inuyasha, Kikyo, and Kagome get themselves into. I support Kohaku and Rin as a couple then and I still support them to this very day. There is an innocence and radiance that these two have together. Whether it would be on the TV show or in fan works, they shine all thanks to the potential they have to grow as a couple to the point where I mark them as my OTP next to Inuyasha/Ayame, Ginta/Shunran, Miroku/Sango, Sesshoumaru/Kagome, and Shippo/Souten. When it comes to Sesshoumaru and Rin, I do not see them as a romantic couple in the slightest. First of all, Sesshoumaru is much more experienced and older than the youthful Rin, given that he appears to be about nineteen. In fact, I see their relationship as more of father and daughter. Think about it for a second. Rin was an orphan, whose parents and brother’s lives were lost to marauders. Surely, this experience would traumatize many a child. That is until she met an injured Sesshoumaru does she start to look up to him and admire him in a platonic way. She was then initially killed by Kouga’s wolves and Sesshoumaru used his Tenseiga to save her life. From there she has become his traveling companion and the way I interpret this is, he finally found an adoptive daughter through Rin, giving his own brand of discipline. In my mind, I always love to pair Sesshoumaru with Kagome, as he has Rin as his adoptive daughter and she has Shippou as an adoptive son. If they were to marry, then Rin would be the big sister to Shippou, thus making one strong family, with Sesshoumaru as the stern, disciplinarian, yet well-meaning father to his children, Kagome as the nurturing, strong-willed mother, Rin as the jolly, respectable, and loving older sister, and Shippou as her adorable little brother. Along the way, Sesshoumaru and Kagome will end up giving birth to little hanyos, making their family a little more exciting. Once Kohaku marries Rin and Shippou marries Souten, they will have kids of their own, thus making Sesshoumaru and Kagome grandparents in their 30s yet still mentally and physically active. Come to think of it, this calls for a fanart idea on my part. With all of this rambling aside, let’s get on to what I thought about the story. Ever since Rin has been living with Sesshoumaru, Jaken, and Ah-Un, she has become his adoptive daughter. He does things like buy kimonos, wrapping her under his mokomoko on frosty winters, and generally caring for her. That is until one fateful day that Rin had to live in Kaede’s village surrounded by humans. Rin comes of age and dates Kohaku, and being the stern father Sesshoumaru wants to ensure that her beau will keep his daughter safe, which is the same policy he gives him all the way up to marriage. By and large, this story is a very down-to-earth, simple, genuine, and lovely look into Rin’s family life with Sesshoumaru, Jaken, and Ah-Un. Even more so, this is a coming of age story of Rin’s journey from childhood to teenhood to womanhood. I dare not spoil the ending, but sufficed to say, it will leave one with tears of joy by how everything wraps up in a poignant, beautiful, and lovely way. The characters that really stole the show for me were Sesshoumaru, Kohaku, and Rin. Starting off with Sesshoumaru he does begin with his usual cold, overprotective self. However, as the story progresses he becomes slightly more understanding and compassionate not only as a father to Rin and future father-in-law to Kohaku but as a person. Kohaku starts off as a passionate and strong teenager not only in terms of his skills as a warrior but also how he persuades Sesshoumaru that he deeply loves Rin and wants to take her on a date. Eventually, in his adulthood, he proves himself as a loyal, noble husband to Rin. Rin is indubitably the main focus of this story, as this is her journey of becoming a woman. She starts off as the usually peppy and kind-hearted girl and she maintains that kindness and optimism all the way up to her adulthood. Jaken’s butt-monkey status has been thankfully reduced in this fanfic and is just the loyal servant. The other characters like Inuyasha, Kagome, Kouga, Ayame, and Kaede serve their purposes well. In terms of technicality, I did not spot one single error. Moreover, the layout is clean and well-organized. Overall, this was a touching Kohaku/Rin fanfic with Sesshoumaru as Rin’s adoptive father. Everything is so well-woven in a simple package that it comes off as charming and gentle. You know what I am going to give this fanfic. It deserves a full A+. On a technical standpoint, it’s flawless. From a narrative standpoint, it is excellent. Well, that’s all for now. Boy, taking a good look at these Inuyasha…

Happy Easter, everybody! Antoni, here, with another Inuyasha fanfiction recommendation. I will be taking a look at An Odd Pair, which was written by JapanLurve101 and published on November 10, 2008. It’s rated M. It’s in English. It’s Romance and the main pairing is, get ready for this, Inuyasha/Ginta.   Before I talk about this fanfic, I want to talk about Inuyasha and Ginta as a shounen-ai couple. It is a guilty pleasure, and I kind of enjoy it because at least they are not related in any form. However, if you ask me, I actually ship them as a BrOTP. In my mind, their dynamics will function with Inuyasha functioning the large-and-in-charge, strong-willed, hotheaded and badass big brother to Ginta’s meek, endearing, jolly, and beware the nice one’s younger brother.   In terms of shipping them with characters of the opposite sex, while I pair Inuyasha with Ayame to the nth degree, I always thought about pairing Ginta with Shunran of the Panther Devas. Sure, they clashed a bit in the anime, but I think Ginta/Shunran has potential. Think about it, Ginta is a kind, sensitive, sweet guy and Shunran is a feisty, fun-loving, lively girl. He would find her cute, fun to be with, and agile in her movements and she would find him hilarious, charming, and super strong. Sooner or later, they would hit it off rather well. I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but the thought of Ginta and Shunran as a couple always seems to fascinate me and it can be plausible.   Okay, enough rambling. Let’s get on to what I thought about this story.   Deep in the forest, Inuyasha is his usually vexed self, as he is thinking about Kouga’s blunt unwillingness to challenge him, as Kagome is not present. Just by thinking about what Kouga said is enough to make Inuyasha all the more riled up to the point where he is thinking about executing him by cutting off Kouga’s tail. A voice manages to startle Inuyasha out of his psychotic fantasy and then he sees that the voice belonged to Ginta, who exposits that Kouga is not in the area. Inuyasha is initially disappointed until Ginta decides that he needs to take a bath in the hot springs, for someone is about to take over guard duty. Inuyasha is initially hesitant until he decides to join Ginta along. What follows is the brewing relationship between the hotheaded hanyou and the innocent wolf yokai. By and large, this story is a mixture of humorous, charming, and rather steamy in the climax. By steamy, I mean there is male fanservice and eroticism, but it’s done in a way that does not feel too forced, as the story builds itself up quite nicely. It does not obnoxiously thrive on the fanservice and it’s balanced with substantial interest on the characters’ part. For one chapter, I thought it had a sufficient enough story, so high marks there.   Talking about the characters is talking about Inuyasha and Ginta. It’s always a pleasure to see Inuyasha’s brand of toughness, brashness, and strong will present in this fanfic until he lets his defenses down. He was very much in character.   Ginta is fleshed out the most. In the anime, he and Hakkaku function almost like fraternal twin brothers and are usually either the butt-monkeys or just the comedic sidekicks to Kouga. It’s a major shame because I would’ve loved to have each of their personalities fleshed out a lot more. Here he does keep his brand of innocence, charm, meekness, and youthfulness but it’s also backed up by a slightly mischievous attitude, especially when he realizes Inuyasha’s desire for some sensuality.   There were not so many spelling and grammar errors, which made my overall reading pleasure a blast for the most part. I also have to give it high marks for the descriptive and varied enough language.   Overall, this is a story I thoroughly enjoyed, especially with Inuyasha and Ginta as the main crack pairing. With their different personalities meshing together so well helped by a sufficient story and steamy action going on between Inuyasha and Ginta, I say go check it out if you are a fan of this crack pairing. With that said, I give this fanfic a grade of A+. Minute errors aside, I still say that this is a worthwhile read if you enjoy having Inuyasha and Ginta as yaoi couple.   Well, that’s all for now, tune in later for another Inuyasha fanfiction recommendation centering around Kohaku and Rin with Sesshoumaru playing a paternal part, Twenty Truths: My Daughter written by NalaxSimba. Until then, have a most pleasant Easter. An Odd Pair by JapanLurve101
