The Post-Zordon-Era Toonami Inurangers Team-Ups

Greetings and salutations, fellow aficionados of anime, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, and everything from the early 1990s to early 2000s, Antoni here. I have never been this excited to cover the Toonami-Era Inuranger team-ups during the Post-Zordon era because this has been in the back of my mind for a long time. Ever since I straightened out my Toonami-Era Inurangers teams to the lineups I was satisfied with, I felt more motivated to make the team-ups come to fruition. Now that I touched upon the Zordon-Era/Toonami-Era Inurangers team-ups, it is time for me to have a go at the Post-Zordon-Era/Toonami-Era Inurangers team-ups from the Inurangers Lost Galaxy version of “To the Tenth Power” to the Inurangers Wild Force version of “Reinforcements from the Future Parts 1 and 2.” Before you ask, what about the Toonami-Era Inurangers version of “Forever Red”? What about that lineup? That will be a separate entry because I would love to go more in-depth with it. Furthermore, I have an interesting arrangement with my Toonami-Era Inurangers version of “Forever Red.”

I also want to make this disclaimer, especially for Inurangers Lost Galaxy. For those of you who have been reading the Toonami-Era Inurangers team line-ups, you might have recognized that there are already seven Galaxy Rangers, specifically where there are two Pink Rangers. If Power Rangers Turbo could get away with two Blue Rangers and Power Rangers Time Force could get away with two, technically three, Red Rangers, I see no reason why Power Rangers Lost Galaxy could not get away with two Pink Rangers. This is true when Kendrix and Karone both don their Pink Galaxy Ranger garbs. Fortunately, both Megumi Minami and Maya Orihara, who are the Inurangers Lost Galaxy versions of Kendrix Morgan and Karone respectively, can coexist as two different Pink Galaxy Rangers. Megumi is the Pink Galaxy Heavenly Seraph Ranger complete with wings on her back and heels like a combination of Hermes and a seraph. If Kendrix had managed to maintain her Galaxy powers in the afterlife, she would have ended up in that Ranger suit, which would have increased her overall power of heavenly light. Her costume design rich in celestial symbolism serves as a counterbalance to the earthier, more bull-like design of the Magna Defender. On the other hand, Maya retains her regular Pink Galaxy Ranger suit from the beginning, as her tenure as Dark Witch Maya is over by the end of Inurangers in Space. Therefore, Maya’s current tenure as the Pink Galaxy Ranger is her penance from the beginning until the end after her time as Dark Witch Maya and being especially redeemed by Mika the Red Space Inuranger. I hope this manages to clear the air without giving way too much away.

Let us not waste any time, and get these Post-Zordon-Era, let alone the remainder of the Toonami-Era, Inuranger team-ups cracking. Go galactic! Lightspeed Rescue! Titanium Power! Time for Time Force! Quantum Power! Wild Access!

Inurangers Lost Galaxy: “To the Fourteenth Power” The Space/Galaxy Inurangers Team-Up (2003)
The seven Psycho Inurangers consisting of Rizelle from Chrono Crusade as Psycho Red, Kouga from Inuyasha as Psycho Green, Hiten from Inuyasha as Psycho Silver, Bankotsu from Inuyasha as Psycho Black, Lyra from Fullmetal Alchemist as Psycho Blue, Shader from Chrono Crusade as Psycho Yellow, and Ryomo Shimei from Ikki Tousen as Psycho Pink strike again. Maya’s initial creations during her time as Dark Witch Maya are resurrected by Sousuke Aizen from Bleach, the Inurangers version of Deviot. She is horrified to know that the Psycho Inurangers have been resurrected and does her part to stop them, just as Ryoma and Mika try to destroy Rizelle. Even Ryomo does her part in taunting Maya for her errors. Just as the seven Psycho Inurangers are about to decimate the seven Galaxy Inurangers, the seven Space Inurangers join in the battle. In this version, even Mitsuhide and Tsume participate to make this team-up amount to fourteen space-themed Inurangers.

Rizelle, Kouga, Hiten, Bankotsu, Lyra, and Shader may have been defeated, but Ryomo is not down for the count yet. As the Inurangers version of Psycho Pink, she has her Savage Sword on standby. Maya manages to destroy Ryomo with her Transdagger. However, the Savage Sword is still bent on destroying the world. Megumi uses her Quasar Saber to destroy it but at a cost. She transcends the flesh, yet she continues to be a visible spirit thanks to her Pink Heavenly Seraph powers. Unlike Kendrix, Megumi does not end up going to the next world. She still fights alongside her teammates as a spirit and ensures Maya that she will continue to fight by her side as a fellow Pink Ranger.

Princess Abi from Inuyasha, the Inurangers version of Trakeena, is back in business to wreak havoc on Tokyo Bay. Now, it is up to the Lightspeed Rescue Inurangers and the Galaxy Inurangers to stop her evil machinations for good and for all. Yes, Nancy Cooper may have been in one episode, but she would have made for a fine seventh Ranger to complete the team, thanks to her gutsy bravery. Luckily, Wakana fills the role of Nancy as well as GoGoV’s Kyoko Hayase to be the Chromium Lightspeed Ranger. Furthermore, both Megumi and Maya are back as the Pink Galaxy Heavenly Seraph Ranger and Pink Galaxy Ranger respectively to complete the team-up.

Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist, the Inurangers version of Vypra, arises from the grave. She asks the assistance of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez and Cirucci Sanderwicci, the Inurangers version of Ransik and Nadira, to resurrect the Oni of the Forbidden Tower to wreak havoc on the world. Now, it is up to the Time Force Inurangers and the Lightspeed Rescue Inurangers to join forces and defeat the Oni. Even Takeshi Sendo has been joining as a full-time Seventh Ranger and the third overall Time Force Inuranger to don the color red. Unlike Alex Drake, who is at most an extra Ranger and an anti-hero, Takeshi is totally on board as the Red Shadow Time Force Ranger.

Inurangers Wild Force: “Reinforcements from the Future Parts 1 and 2” The Wild Force/Time Force Inurangers Team-Up (2006)
Mut-Orgs are on a rampage. The Time Force and the Wild Force Inurangers join forces to do battle with them. However, their combined powers are not enough to defeat them. They end up receiving assistance from unexpected allies in Grimmjow and Cirucci. Grimmjow was solely responsible for unleashing the Mut-Orgs among other atrocities he did during his tenure fighting against the Time Force Inurangers. Much like how the real-life two-part “Reinforcements from the Future” is the penultimate Power Rangers team-up episode of the Saban Era, this is also the same case of the Toonami-Era Inurangers series. What makes this better is that unlike Princess Shayla who is mainly the loving big sister figure and mentor figure to the Wild Force Rangers, Satella Harvenheit from Chrono Crusade, the Inurangers version of Princess Shayla, actually takes part as a seventh Ranger, specifically the Emerald Deer Wild Force Ranger.
  • Ippo Makunouchi from Hajime no Ippo the 22-year-old Red Blazing Lion Ranger version of Cole Evans voiced by Steve Staley
  • Kiichi “Kiibo” Miyazawa from Shootfighter Tekken the 23-year-old Red Time Force Ranger version of Wesley “Wes” Collins voiced by Michael Sinterniklaas

  • Takeshi Sendo from Hajime no Ippo the 23-year-old Red Shadow Time Force Ranger version of Alex Drake voiced by Doug Erholtz
  • Blue from Wolf’s Rain the 24-year-old Silver Howling Wolf Ranger version of Merrick Baliton voiced by Jessica Straus
  • Baki Hanma from Baki the Grappler the 24-year-old Quantum Time Force Ranger version of Eric Myers voiced by Robert McCollum
  • Ichise from Texhnolyze the 22-year-old Black Iron Bison Ranger version of Danny Delgado voiced by Justin Gross
  • Kiba from Wolf’s Rain the 22-year-old Blue Time Force Ranger version of Lucas Kendall voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch
  • Katsushiro Okamoto from Samurai 7 the 19-year-old Blue Surging Shark Ranger version of Max Cooper voiced by Sean Michael Teague
  • Toboe from Wolf’s Rain the 18-year-old Green Time Force Ranger version of Trip Regis voiced by Mona Marshall

  • Kaoru Ichinose from Detective School Q the 17-year-old Pink Time Force Ranger version of Jennifer “Jen” Scotts voiced by Tara Jayne Sands
  • Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez as Ransik voiced by David Vincent
  • Cirucci Sanderwicci as Nadira voiced by Tricia Pierce

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. With these Inuranger team-ups of the Toonami era out of the way, I am way more excited than ever before for the Inurangers version of “Forever Red”, where all the Red Rangers of this era assemble. Stay tuned for that, everybody.
