So, I hope you all enjoy and soak in this Brickercup goodness. The Brickercup family has struck again and this time it’s bigger, more exciting, and more fun. We have 26-year-old Brick being the tough, buff, big Kahuna daddy that he is with his darling 25-year-old wife Buttercup being the tough, strong mom. At the front are the 7-year-old eldest sextuplets Brad, Bruce, Bailee, Bea, Brett, and Bridget and 6-year-old second eldest daughter Brina. On the right are 4-year-old Blaze, 3-year-old Brent, and 2-year-old sororal twins Brooke and Brianna. Finally, on the left are 1-year-old twins Bane and Bethany and on Brick’s shoulder is 8-month-old Bona. This is truly quite the clan of rambunctious, rough-and-tumble, determined, fiery, athletic, and tough fighters. We got to know about Blaze, Brent, and Brook, so let us to get to know the other Brickercup kids, shall we? Bradford Tyrone “Brad” Green, Bruce Warren Green, Bailee Christina “BC Jr.” Green, Beatrice Elizabeth “Bea” Green, Brett Rupert Green, and Bridget Melissa Green were born on June 3, 2011. It was said that the sextuplets were loud, wild, and rambunctious when they emerged from their mother’s womb with Bridget being the loudest. Because Brick, Buttercup and the rest of their respective siblings were entering college, Mr. Green, Professor Utonium, Mrs. Bellum-Green, and Mrs. Keane-Utonium were very much in charge of raising their grandchildren with the six superheroes coming to visit every weekend to check up on their progeny. As the sextuplets were in their toddler years, they went out of their ways to have their playtime in the form of sparring matches whether it is against each other or using their favorite stuffed animals as punching bags, thus exhibiting their toughness as fighters. Bradford Tyrone Green, or Brad as he prefers to be called, sees himself as the overall eldest of the sextuplets and the other children of Brick and Buttercup. He takes after his father’s loud, imposing, hot-headed nature that the phrase “the apple does not fall too far from the tree” does not even begin to describe Brad to the point where he is such a daddy’s boy. Even though he always prefers to be called Brad, his parents would always call him by his complete name whenever he is in deep trouble. Being a daddy’s boy, he loves to have sparring matches with Brick every weekend along with his brother/best friend Bruce. Brad always loves to know that he is in charge, though there are times his siblings and cousins can be rather irritated by his overconfidence. Regardless, he means well to all of his siblings and he will always have their backs every single time. Brad’s hobbies include weightlifting, basketball, American football, soccer, judo, mixed martial arts, wrestling, karate, boxing, listening to heavy metal music, reading graphic novels, and Greek history. His special power is the usage of his flame-enhanced laser beams, which can easily obliterate any foe who crosses his path. Just one blast of those flame-enhanced laser beams and that foe is surely a goner. Brad aspires to become a professional mixed martial artist with his entrance music being “Indestructible” sung by Disturbed. Bruce Warren Green is fiercely loyal to his brother Brad to the point where they are best friends forever. As much as Bruce is so close to his father, he absolutely looks up to his mother as his role model. Bruce is just as loud, imposing, and hot-headed as his father and Brad, but he is also a rambunctious and determined soul like his mother. Brad and Bruce have a super strong bond as brothers almost akin to Castor and Pollux, as they are inseparable. He and Brad always love to show that they are in charge and even though this trait can be a nuisance to their siblings and cousins, they mean well. Bruce does compliment Brad in a way that he is slightly softer than his commanding brother. Bruce’s hobbies are kickboxing, wrestling, boxing, mixed martial arts, karate, judo, weightlifting, basketball, American football, soccer, listening to death metal music and rock ‘n roll, reading science fiction novels like the ones by H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, and Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythology. His special power is his signature Raging Dragon Blast, in which he forms a blazing comet with his hands akin to Goku’s Kamehameha Wave. When Bruce unleashes this, a flaming comet will emerge and will completely incinerate his opponents to smithereens. Bruce aspires to be a professional wrestler/mixed martial artist who is going to win all the tournaments alongside his favorite brother Brad. Bailee Christina “BC Jr.” Green really lives up to her nick-namesake, as she is a marvelous combination of Brick’s hot-headedness, roughness, and pride and Buttercup’s toughness, feistiness, and free-spirited nature. She is close to both her father and her mother, as she equally loves them both. BC Jr. loves physical competition to a fault in everything she does whether they be sports, video games or general butt-kicking. Being the tomboy she is, she always loves to get her hands dirty and enjoys wearing…

Is there anything else one needs to say about this six-person superhero team? It is rather self-explanatory but let us who they are. From left to right, and from eldest to youngest, we have Brick, Butch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles. 26-year-old Brick “The Bludgeoner” Green is the eldest member of Team Xtreme, as well as the leader, thus functioning as the Team Dad. It also helps that he is the eldest son of Mr. Green and Mrs. Bellum-Green, as he and his brothers were taken to be adopted by them, more specifically Mrs. Bellum-Green, and, therefore, make both HIM and Mojo Jojo lose custody of the Rowdyruff Boys. His combination of strength, street-smarts, and book smarts certainly make him a fearless leader. He is commanding and tough towards his foes and loving, loyal, and willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of his teammates. He can be impulsive whenever things go awry and there are times his confidence can tread towards hubris, but he still means well to them and they, in turn, help him in whatever circumstance he is going through. His special power is pyrokinesis and many of his main attacks are fire-based. His hobbies and interests include martial arts, mechanics, weightlifting, basketball, soccer, physics, wrestling, automobiles, specializing in different forms of cuisine, and history. He is happily married to Buttercup and they have ten children named Bea, Blaze, Brent, Brooke, Brianna, Bane, Bethany, Brina, Bona, and Brett. 26-year-old Butch “The Baron of Berserk” Green is the second eldest member of Team Xtreme and is the muscle of the group. Whenever there is a heavy duty task that needs to be done, he accomplishes it in flying colors. While Brick acts as the main big brother of the group, Butch functions as the second big brother, thus making them close not only as brothers, but also as comrades seeing that they are also two days apart. He is always battle-ready, as he uses a combination of brute strength, pure brawn, and raw animal instinct to help him carry through. His teammates always rely on him and Buttercup to kick criminal butt and protect them from all forms of harm. He is extremely aggressive towards his enemies to the point of overdoing his attacks, mostly to dish out what harm they would cause to his teammates. However, with his teammates he can be surprisingly sympathetic especially to Blossom and Bubbles, fun-loving yet extremely competitive to Buttercup, loyal to Brick, and competitive to Boomer all while maintaining his savage side. Aside from creating forcefields, which have become extremely applicable whenever it comes to protecting his teammates from energy-related attacks, he bears the main element of wind, as his deadly Tornado Punch comes in handy when beating up criminals. Butch’s hobbies and interests include weightlifting, bodybuilding, wrestling, martial arts, American football, basketball, soccer, mechanics, physics, monster trucks, riding his motorcycle, and automobiles in general. He is happily married to Blossom with eight children named Azalea, Brendan, Blake, Bradley, Belle, Brenda, Belinda, and Abigail. He even has three children with Bubbles, his life partner, named Brandon, Brea, and Betty. 26-year-old Boomer “The Fleet Athlete” Green is the optimistic athlete of this superhero group. Being a superbly holy matrimony of brute strength, massive endurance, and lightning speed, he is really reliable not only in battle but in many everyday situations. Personality-wise he is an optimist, the occasional funny man, and he is pretty much the sympathetic dumb muscle of the group. Through moments of joy and sorrow, he is always there to comfort his teammates and give them abundant moral support. He is the type of guy whose heart is always in the right place, thus having he and Bubbles gelling the group in its entirety with flying colors. He has a competitive yet tight relationship with Brick and Butch, as evidenced with all of the wrestling, martial arts, weightlifting, and occasional bodybuilding these three brothers do. A lot of his powers are clearly linked to lightning and raw energy, as his special power is creating objects out of raw energy like a baseball bat, shuriken, and a lasso. Boomer’s hobbies and interests include music, American football, hockey, soccer, filmmaking, anime, video games, martial arts, weightlifting, swimming, languages, sculpting, and theater. He is happily married to Bubbles with eight children named Bailey, Barley, Ben, Brittany, Bonnie, Birdie, Belina, and Bali. Boomer even has five children from his life partner Blossom named Bloom, Brittney, Beau, Becky, and Bella. 25-year-old Blossom “The Commander and the Leader” Utonium-Green is the brains, tactician, and Team Mom of Team Xtreme. What makes Blossom lethal in the battlefield is her accuracy, especially when it comes to acknowledging her opponents strong and weak points. Here we have 26-year-old Brick and his 25-year-old wife Buttercup as the legendary biblical couple Samson and Delilah. I personally think they fit their roles really well, as Samson was the leader of the Nazarites famous for his prodigious strength and Delilah was a Philistine woman known for her beauty, cunning, and seductiveness. Brick indubitably is a nice fit for Samson, what with his long hair and superhuman strength, and Buttercup dons Delilah’s attitude rather well with her overall beauty though in real life she is far from being über feminine. Still, these two look exceptionally gorgeous together and I was totally and utterly inspired by the Metropolitan Opera House’s promo picture of Elina Garanca as Dalila and Roberto Alagna as Samson, as Saint Säens’ “Samson et Dalila” will be part of the Met Live in HD’s broadcast lineup this coming October 20 and I am very excited to watch it. Moreover, I watched a taped performance live from the San Francisco Opera House with my late maternal grandmother starring Placido Domingo and Shirley Verrett as Samson and Delilah. Anyone who dares touch her will automatically face the wrath of Brick through his masterful usage of pyrokinesis, thus giving the perpetrator a one-way ticket to the hospital or even worse…to Hell. Blossom the Commander and the Leader just cannot stand it when any hussy or douchebag get her or his way with her most beloved Butch the Baron of Berserk. Anyone who wants to have her or his way with him will have to come face to face with Blossom and her mad ice powers. Ergo, touch her husband and she will give you an attack in the form of a blizzard that one can never escape from. Where my headcanon is concerned for the Greens Butch and Buttercup, I decided to have a little fun with this. There is no doubt that Butch and Buttercup are Team Xtreme’s muscles and toughest fighters, thus constantly exposing their rough sides to any foe. However, when they are respectively in the company of Blossom and Brick, they act like the most obedient of dogs and sweetest of cinnamon rolls, thus showing their unconditional love, tenderness, and respect to them. Let’s also not forget that they very much outgrew their stubborn attitudes, but they are still rambunctious in their own ways, which in turn is passed down to their children. Brick and Blossom, being the Reds, wear the pants in their respective relationships, thus exuding dominance to their green-clad spouses and tenderness where they need it the most. Brick would always be the one to go out of his way to be the elegant, roguish charmer that he is to soothe Buttercup from her moodiness and temper tantrums. On the flipside, Blossom uses her smarts and unparalleled feminity to give Butch the taming, loving, and admiration he needs, thus making him very grateful to have a goddess of a wife like her in his crazy life. So, there you have it. When you have these red-clad, protective, and kind of possessive commanders and leaders being the dominant life partners to the green-clad, rough and hard on the outside sweet and fluffy on the inside, toughest fighters, you get relationships like Brickercup and Blossutch which are really fun, flexible, and interesting. What better for me to kick this off than with my most beloved RRB/PPG OTP of all time, Brick x Buttercup aka Brickercup. By the way, the inscriptions on their shirts are, of course, in French. The translation on Brick’s shirt is “I love her with all of my heart, my mind, and my soul”, whilst Buttercup’s shirt inscription is translated as “He is the light to my vessel”. It should be crystal clear who they are referring to. Moreover, as you can tell, these normally hotheaded fighters are having such a cute and adorable moment together. Because I was feeling French at this point, I thought that the chanson “Non, je ne regrette rien” would fit these two hot and spicy lovebirds to a T. This is because this song is translated as “No, I don’t regret anything”, which I can say with confidence is their motto. Nothing is ever going to shake nor break these two, in spite of all the horrible times and the good times, and they just keep soldiering on in everything they do.
