This submission as part of BrickercupMasterX3’s Brickubbles month is dedicated to a few people I have sadly lost in my life growing up: my maternal grandma, Lydia Aznar-Alfonso, who passed away eight years ago from intestinal cancer, my chemistry teacher in third-year high school, Mr. Nicolas Apelinga, who passed away about three weeks ago, and one of my paternal uncles, Francis Duran, who as stated by my mom passed away today. I would also love to dedicate this piece of RRB/PPG fan art to a fellow filmmaker who I had the pleasure of working with, Steffen Kaminski whose father passed away. May you all rest in peace, you will all be in my prayers and may the Heavenly Father keep you all in His realm. This is going to be the final Brickubbles Flashback, chronicling Brick’s and Bubbles’ major highlight in college. Technically, this is my second-to-the-last Brickubbles submission, as I have one more coming up. Furthermore, this flashback takes place in June 2014, where Brick, Butch, and Boomer were twenty-two years old, Blossom and Buttercup were twenty-one years old, and Bubbles was twenty years old. This was also the month where Buttercup gave birth to Blaze, hers and Brick’s first son, thus making Brick and Buttercup married while entering their fourth year of college. Moreover, since Boomer and Bubbles were the first to marry while still in college, they had their first three children, twins Bailey and Barley who were two years old and Brittany who was a year old. Butch and Blossom were engaged, as she stated to him that she would rather marry when they graduate college to which he gladly agreed. Enjoy this final flashback to the past. Brickubbles is kept as a loving platonic relationship, while the real couples in this flashback are Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles. There’s also a bit of Bunnitch here. Birth. Childhood. Adolescence. Adulthood. Middle Age. Old Age. Death. This is the life cycle of an average human being and is basically what we all go through in life. Everything influences us to be the people that we are from our environment to our family to our friends to our teachers to society as a whole. There will be good days and there will be bad days, depending on what one makes of it. Speaking of which, picture yourself as this young will-to-be parent. The thought of it is rather intimidating considering the responsibilities of being one, but with enough moral support and unconditional love one can definitely raise one’s child to be the best he or she can be. Blaze, Brent, and Brooke enter racing in the living room with Buttercup. Bailey and Barley are playing a card game akin to Yu-Gi-Oh. And Boomer enters playfully chasing Brittany and Birdie. They land on the huge couch where Brick and Bubbles were sitting.) Brick: Well, hello darling, and my little scamps. (Brick gives Buttercup a kiss and ruffles Blaze’s, Brent’s and Brooke’s hair.) Bailey: Ha! I got Flaminius. He’s gonna roast you alive. There’s no way you can beat me. Barley: Well, bro. I got Dasher! He’s gonna shock you down. (Bailey and Barley realize the attack level both cards have.) Bailey and Barley: Aww…dangit. Another tie. (Boomer approaches Bailey and Barley.) Boomer: I see you enjoyed your game. Now, how about we hop on the couch with your sisters, cousins, mom, your uncle, and auntie? Bailey and Barley: Okay, dad! (Bailey and Barley sit beside Boomer, as he has Birdie on his lap. Bubbles has Brittany sitting beside her. Buttercup has Brooke on her lap and Brick has Brent on his lap with Blaze sitting beside him.) Brent: Dad, I wanna be like you, mom, Uncle Boomer, and Auntie Bubbles when I grow up! Brittany: Yeah, we get to do all sorts of adventures. Blaze: Fight bad guys. Brooke: Fly around the city! Barley: Help out people in need. Bailey: Stop fires from happening! Birdie: And do all that stuff before we go to bed! (Brick, Boomer, Buttercup, and Bubbles chuckle.) Brick: We know you guys will be great heroes. Boomer: There will be a lot of hard work to be done. Buttercup: But if you’re tough and brave enough, we’re all sure you can make it. Bailey: Speaking of making it, when are Uncle Butch, Auntie Blossom, Brendan, Blake, and Belle coming back from grocery shopping? Bubbles: Well, they should be back in an hour. It looks like they’re getting as much good food as they can. Boomer: Sometimes I still can’t believe how much all of you kids have grown. Bailey, Barley, you’re growing taller and stronger every time I see you. And Brittany, you’re getting a lot smarter than I thought. Buttercup: Speaking of growing, Brooke your speech is getting clearer every time. That’s great. Brick: And Blaze, your mom has seen how tougher you continue to grow. Boomer/Bubbles
This Brickubbles Month submission, as spearheaded by my dear friend BrickercupMasterX3, is dedicated to a fellow DeviantArtist by the name of StrayF0rk whose birthday was celebrated yesterday. So, StrayF0rk, I hope you had a pleasant birthday and I wish you a lot of amazing things as a fellow artist. This second part of The Brickubbles High School Flashback was certainly long in the making. It took a lot of conceptualizing and figuratively banging my head how Brick’s and Bubbles’ journey in adolescence was going to end. So, here’s the final part of their time in High School. The pairings involved here are Brick x Bubbles (Brickubbles), Boomer x Bubbles (Boomubbles), Brick x Buttercup (Brickercup), Butch x Blossom (Blossutch), and Mitch x Bunny (Bunnitch). This flashback still takes place in the summer of 2009, though spanning from July to August. There comes a time where relationships are either repaired or newly beginning. A repaired relationship is great, especially when you know that both life partners can start fresh and keep going with their lives together. A new relationship after experiencing the pangs of a breakup is just as great, as the past is left behind and what needs to be considered is the future. How does everything wrap up well in such a nice package? Submitted for the approval of The Brickubbles Flashbacks, I call this story Rekindling and Renewal. Brick, Bubbles, you have the floor. Brick and Bubbles: Thanks, Antoni. Brick: Hey, Bubs, remember that rabbit girl stuffed doll I gave to you when we were at the amusement park down at the pier? Bubbles: Yeah, I gave it to Brittany as a hand-me-down. She and Birdie love to share it too. Plus, that doll kind of reminded me of the imaginary friend Blossom, Buttercup, and I had to create to fight off Patches. Brick: Who’s Patches? Bubbles: Oh, he was Mike’s ex-imaginary friend. Poor Mike got blamed for all of the mishaps when it was actually Patches who caused mayhem. It was up to me and my sisters to think up our own imaginary friend to combat him. Brick: Wow! How are Mike and Robin these days? Bubbles: They’re doing really well. Mike’s a child psychologist and Robin’s an English Literature teacher working on their PhDs. Boomie and I paid them a visit and we even spent some time with their three children, Sarah, Cayden, and Michelle. They are such darlings. Brick: Glad to hear. Like I said, I cannot even believe we dated each other. How did Boomer feel about it? Bubbles: He put that all behind him Brick: That’s good. Because the last thing I could’ve done was hurt him so bad. Bubbles: Yeah. (Flashback to July 2009 begins. The then seventeen-year-old Brick and the then fifteen-year-old Bubbles are at the amusement park down at the pier.) Brick: Here we are, Bubs. We got the whole day to ourselves. Bubbles: That’s for sure, Brick. I don’t even know what ride we should go on first. And that makes me even more excited! Brick: Well what are we waiting for let’s go! (Montage of Brick and Bubbles in the amusement park rides, akin to Beastboy’s and Terra’s amusement park date from the original Teen Titans, begins. Brick and Bubbles are first seen on a rollercoaster called The Sharpshooter. Brick is clearly enjoying the thrill of the ride while Bubbles is rather terrified, to say the least. After that, they are riding on bumper cars laughing. Following that is photo taking time at the photo booth where Brick and Bubbles are making silly faces and choose the best photos including the one that is shown. Brick participates in a game where throws a baseball at five metal bottles and all three tries have ended up being successful to the point where he gets a rabbit girl stuffed doll, which looks like the Powerpuff Girls’ imaginary friend from the episode Imaginary Fiend. Bubbles hugs Brick tightly and he blushes. They walk arm in arm to the Ferris wheel, where they watch the sunset together.) Bubbles: It was such a great day, wasn’t it Brick? Brick: Sure was, Bubs. Who knew it’s been a week since we went out as you know… Bubbles: Boyfriend and girlfriend? Brick (somberly): Yeah. Bubbles: Is everything okay? Brick: Yeah, everything’s cool. I think I’m kinda hungry after all the rides we went to. Bubbles: Me too. Brick: I know an awesome burger joint where we can have dinner. They don’t just serve beef burgers, but also chicken, turkey, and even fish burgers. What do you say to that? Bubbles: I think I would love that. (Cut to the boardwalk, specifically at the restaurant Fish McFood, the same place where Brick, Butch, and Boomer were causing a ruckus and getting their burgers from the episode Boy Toys. The place as of 2009 looked a lot more stylized in comparison to the 1998 design, especially evidenced in the restaurant logo, as it has flashing lights. Inside the restaurant, Brick is munching down on a quarter pounder with cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, onions, lettuce, tomato, sriracha and mayo sauce, and gherkins, while Bubbles is munching down on a salmon burger with avocado, onions, Romaine lettuce, and aioli. They even share a bowl of cajun fries, which they also managed to munch down.) Brick: This place brings back a lot of memories. I can’t believe my brothers and I were such monstrous little crapheads back then wrecking the place. Bubbles: I know, but that was then. You guys just didn’t have a great role model until Miss Bellum came. And look at you. You’re the most popular, handsome, well-rounded guy in Townsville High, Butch is the superathlete alongside Buttercup, and, well, Boomer, he’s the most talented and most loved guy in school. This is today’s Brickubbles month submission, as heralded by my dear friend and fellow DeviantArtist BrickercupMasterX3, which I know I was supposed to submit yesterday, but I was super busy with my Blossutch fanart, so I do apologize for the delay. So, I hope you all enjoy this submission because today we are having another Brickubbles Flashback with these two close friends in High School and something tells me that teen melodrama is about to set afoot. And what other pairing do I see here? Why it’s none other than my most favorite and the healthiest of the color-coded pairings Boomubbles (Boomer x Bubbles). Also featured in this flashback are Floyd and Lloyd Floyjodson, Mitch Mitchelson, Harry Pitt, Mike Believe, and Elmer Sglue who, in turn, serve as Boomer’s best friends as well as his bandmates with them respectively being on the saxophones, the drums, the bass, the keyboard, and the synthesizer. They serve a purpose, as Boomer is going to be singing something. There’s also a hint of Mitch/Princess, some implied Blossick and Butchercup, and some implied Brickercup, Blossutch Robike, Bunnitch, and PittBean, but you will have to read for yourself what happens to them. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. This Brickubbles Flashback takes place between the tail-end of the tenth grade and summer break all in 2009, where Brick, Floyd, Lloyd, Mitch, Harry, and Boomer were sixteen and then turned seventeen, Mike and Elmer were fifteen going on sixteen, and Bubbles was fifteen. Think back to a time when you were a teenager. Those meant a lot of things like finding yourself, being in a relationship, knowing who your best friends are, all the classes you have to take in school, plans you have to make for college, breakups in a relationship etcetera, etcetera. I’m also sure that being a teenager also meant doing pretty stupid things because of whatever reason, which will end up being regretted later in life. Now in terms of being in a relationship, there’s no doubt that you had that one friend who stuck by your side through thick and thin and you had another who was not only so close to you as a really good friend but has somehow become your boyfriend or your girlfriend. The question is, how would you feel about that first choice of that said friend who stuck by your side through thick and thin? Brick and Bubbles: Thanks, Antoni! Brick: Hey, Bubs, check this out. Bubbles: What is it, Brick? Brick (shows Bubbles his old basketball attire): Remember the time in High School I used to play for the varsity team in basketball? Bubbles: Yeah, you and Butch were the MVPs and I was a cheerleader alongside Bunny, Princess, Robin, Julie Bean, Julie Smith, Susie, Kristen, and Clara. I could still remember parts of our chant. (Bubbles excitedly does her cheer dance routine.) Townsville Tigers are on the prowl. We won’t rest until we growl. Gooooooo TIGERS!!!!! Brick: You still got it in you, Bubs. I also remember the school colors by heart. Red for valor, courage, and strength and gold for wealth, leadership, and victory. (Brick and Bubbles sigh longingly.) Brick: And who could ever forget the time you had a crush on me? Bubbles: Well, you were the most popular guy in school, Butch and Buttercup were the most athletic, Boomie was the most talented, Bloss was the one with the most duties, and Bunny and I were the most artistic. Brick: True. Let’s also not forget you were still dating Boom Boom at the time. Bubbles: Yeah, that was true. Boy, I did get myself into such a big pickle. Brick: Bubs, trust me you were not the only one. (Flashback to the summer of 2009 begins. The then sixteen-going-on-seventeen-year-old Brick is shooting some hoops and doing general basketball practice with his teammates Butch, Boomer, Mitch, Floyd, Lloyd, and Harry. While Bubbles is doing cheerleading practice with Bunny, Princess, Robin, Julie Bean, Julie Smith, Susie, Kristen, and Clara.) Boomer: Hey, Mitch, I’m open! (Mitch passes the basketball to Boomer who then proceeds to pass it to Butch. Finally Butch passes the ball to Brick who proceeds to make a slam dunk.) Butch, Boomer, Mitch, Floyd, Lloyd, and Harry: WOOHOO! YEAH, BRICK!!! Harry: Man, you always give the best slam dunks. Butch: Yeah, we’re so gonna cream the Citysville Serpents’ ass- Boomer: And have the winning cup! Brick: You got that right, guys! We’re so gonna wing it in three weeks time! (Cut to Bubbles, Bunny, Princess, Robin, Julie Bean, Julie Smith, Susie, Kristen, and Clara who are doing their cheerleading routine. Robin functions as the cheerleading captain.) Robin: Okay, ladies, we got everything in sync. Princess: I do concur. But don’t you think that our twirls were a bit off-timed? Bunny: That’s why practice makes perfect, Princess. Princess: I know that. Robin: Well, looks like it’s a wrap today. Great job, ladies. (Just as Bubbles and her cheerleading are about to depart the gymnasium, she stays and observes Brick and his basketball team practicing. Brick, Butch, Mitch, Floyd, Lloyd, Boomer, and Harry wrap up their practice. Brick then takes notice of Bubbles.) Brick: Hey, Bubs, what’s happenin’? (Bubbles stands petrified and enamored and is blushing. Her face is about to approach being as red as a tomato.) Bubbles (thinking, as her inner monologue is at a speedy rate complete with her trademark squeaky voice when she gets excited and her face is turning as red as ever): Oh my gosh! Brick is such a hottie! A hunk! A god! Oh, those muscles of his! He and his bros…

So, Jeanne, I hope you enjoy this piece of work I did and I hope you had a lot of fun on your special day. I wish you a lot of love, joy, prosperity, and peace on not only what was your birthday two days ago but also your endeavors as an artist and as a person. I also dedicate this to all of my fellow Brickercup, Blossutch, and Boomubbles shippers. With that said, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Here we have Townsville’s finest superhero troupe Team Xtreme having a lovely and cute moment after intense combat training and an equally intense workout, what with the gentlemen Brick, Butch, and Boomer being so romantic to their wives Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles. Basically, Townsville has an awesome set of OTPs in Team Xtreme in the forms of Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup), Blossutch (Butch x Blossom), and Boomubbles (Boomer x Boomubbles). Seriously, I totally dig these couples and for that, here are their stories on how they came to be. Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup) Brick, Butch, and Boomer may have been adopted by Miss Bellum and accepted her as their mother, but even then the Rowdyruff leader was as mouthy as ever. As kindergarteners, Brick and Buttercup used to get on each others’ nerves with their attitudes, what with him and his massive ego and her and her defiance and temper tantrums. These two were nothing compared to the angry shouting matches and beatdowns she and Butch would have and the constant ego-rubbing he and Blossom would usually engage in. Ergo, Brick was essentially Buttercup’s greatest frenemy totally on par with Butch. One moment they would be playing games like dodgeball and catch and the next moment it’s open house to see who can shout the loudest. This left poor Mrs. Keane-Utonium, who ended up being Blossom’s, Buttercup’s, Bubbles’, and Bunny’s mother, to drag Brick, Butch, and Buttercup to time out on a constant basis. Moreover, Brick and Butch had a terrible reputation for being the tyrants of the playground putting even Mitch Mitchelson to shame. Through their timeouts, Brick, Butch, and Buttercup used these opportunities to get to know each other more. Brick and Butch found it fascinating that Buttercup is just as great as spitter as Boomer is and it was actually she that taught Bubbles how to spit and Buttercup found it cool that she was able to have great sparring partners like Brick and Butch to hang out with even though they do annoy her, especially Butch. Sure, their respective parents scolded them for their not so civil behavior with each other, but the moments they had together were in a word priceless, as their bond grew tighter. From grade school to middle school, the very years when Team Xtreme came to fruition, Buttercup found herself much closer to Butch and Brick found himself much closer to Blossom, as the relationship between her and Brick was still on a platonic level. She and Brick enjoyed their sparring sessions with each other and they enjoyed working together as one team but somehow there was something in them that made them initially think that they were not meant to be together and just be comrades. Moreover, in terms of their powers, Brick’s pyrokinesis, fire breath, and other fire powers were put to great use thanks to having a father in the form of Mr. Green who monitored how his three sons were using their powers and made sure they were using them wisely and Buttercup discovered that she can control the earth that she stands in but she can also make plants grow at an accelerating rate, thus using plants as her weapon. There were still the obligatory shouting matches between Buttercup and Butch and the competitiveness that Brick and Blossom had, but Buttercup’s respect and admiration for Brick as the “team dad” grew and grew. The first two years of high school were the years where Team Xtreme’s powers matured both individually and as a group and they also had to continuously juggle with school, friends, and their jobs as superheroes. Through all four years of High School, Brick became one of the most popular, handsome, and well-rounded guys in school akin to a Renaissance man who was heavily involved in sports, the arts, the sciences, mathematics, political science, and debates, basically, the guy girls want to date and boys envy so much, and Buttercup became really well-loved in every activity involving sports. Moreover, the tenth grade was the year when Brick decided to date Blossom and Buttercup decided to date Butch. While Brick’s and Blossom’s relationship was relatively stable with the occasional arguments, Butch’s and Buttercup’s was volatile on an on-and-off basis, in spite of enjoying similar activities and having moments where they kissed and made up. On Brick’s and Blossom’s side, they were constantly competing for their spots on the honor roll, thus being the best students in the class, while Butch and Buttercup despite performing well in terms of academics found themselves in trouble due to their aggressive attitudes and constantly blaming each other for stupid and petty things. This came to a head one summer when Butch and Buttercup broke up while they were on a boating trip. They decided then and there that they would stay as friends and allies due to all the hostility they had towards each other and they knew that they could not last in a serious relationship with each other, which was a surprisingly reflective move from the Greens. On the Reds’ side, Brick grew rather tired of Blossom’s sleeplessness, obsession for perfection, and distance from him and Blossom grew fed up with Brick’s over-competitiveness, bloated ego, and tendency to be overprotective, the latter trait which was the problem they shared. Brickercup (Brick x Buttercup) There is always something amazingly plausible and cool about this particular mixed-colored pairing. One is the fact that Brick’s large-and-in-charge personality can mesh really well with Buttercup’s feisty, mischievous, and snarky attitude, which is something I find really endearing about Brickercup. The other is how someone like Brick can be able to be the roguish charmer that he is and soothe Buttercup’s temper tantrums in his own way by being cool and not giving himself into shouting matches, even though they can occur between these two though it’s just their form of tough love. As fighters, they would definitely complement each other. Brick can teach Buttercup new, intense, and interesting moves while Buttercup would be easily fascinated by Brick’s combat prowess, strength, and the command he has over his movements, thus making him a most admirable fighter in her eyes. Therefore, she would learn a lot from him. Let’s also not forget that when Brick’s ego gets the best of him, Buttercup would always be the one to shrink it down to size by being the direct person that she is and calling him out on his crap. Through everything they do as a couple, there will never, ever be a dull moment, as everything they do will be filled to the brim with excitement, figurative fireworks, and oodles of passion that these two have not only for combat but for looking out for each other with all of their beings. Speaking of combat, they would definitely form the tightest duo especially when it comes to fighting off criminals, thus making them such a great asset. Outside of crime-fighting, they would be doing such fun activities like Dance Dance Revolution, doing sports, and many other physical activities, thus getting a kick out of each other with this electrifying synergy. When it comes to having a family, Brick would be the strong, cool dad and Buttercup would be the tough mom who ensures that her kids are safe and well-disciplined. Blossutch (Butch x Blossom) I cannot begin to describe how utterly fascinating this color crack pairing really is. On the surface, it’s the classic case of the strong bad boy pairing up with the smart bookworm of a good girl. Real life implications may show the consequences of such a relationship like this, but I can defend this pairing on what I find so plausible about it. Butch is essentially this person with insurmountable strength, abundant fighting spirit, lots of determination, but also has the tendency to be easily ticked when one pushes his buttons and does not always have self-control where it is needed. On the other hand, Blossom is an articulate, intelligent, clever, diplomatic, and gorgeous seraph of a young woman who has enough patience and savviness to deal with someone as unpredictable and wild as Butch. What makes them complement each other is that Butch is strength and raw power incarnate while Blossom has strength, tact, and structure wrapped up in one gorgeous package. Once they face each other, they would automatically acknowledge each others’ strengths and weaknesses and they would help each other become not only better fighters but also better overall people. Butch would indubitably fancy the pants off of Blossom’s combat prowess, strength, and impeccable reflexes but he would also call her out on using her head way too much when fighting is about instinct and having this primal urge to spot an opponent’s weakness. Blossom would absolutely acknowledge Butch’s raw animalistic instincts and brute strength thanks to being the muscle in this relationship, which would come in handy whenever she gets injured or ambushed, but she would also call him out on his lack of self-control. This is where meditation is put to great use for both Butch and Blossom, as they would do this and yoga on a ritualistic basis, thus ensuring a healthy synergy and balance to occur in the body, in the mind, and in the soul. Through activities like meditation and yoga, Butch and Blossom would be able to not only gain a further awareness of their surroundings both external and internal, but they would also see another side to each other. It appears that the awesome members of Team Xtreme have gotten themselves into another bloody monster battle and another piece of trouble seems to be looming over them. However, given their expressions here, thus bearing a certain Yandere vibe, one can say that perpetrators better run like bats out of Hell, lest they encounter themselves with death, destruction, and an ultimatum to end all ultimatums. Narrator: The City of Townsville…is under attack by three giant monsters! (Three hulking monsters, one aquamarine, one dark blue, and one violet, are crashing some buildings. Team Xtreme consisting of Brick, Butch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles arrive flying swiftly in the scene.) Narrator: No need to fear for Team Xtreme is here. Brick: Butch, you and Buttercup handle the one in aquamarine. Bubbles, you and Boomer take care of the one in violet. And Bloss. Blossom: Yes, Brick. Brick: Let’s take care of Mr. Midnight Blue. Blossom: Affirmative! (Brick and Blossom fly to the dark blue monster and zap it with their laser eye beams in order to weaken it. However, the monster uses its claws to slash Brick’s and Blossom’s clothes. The reds don’t give up, as Brick uses his fire breath to roast the monster and Blossom uses her ice breath to immobilize it.) (Cut to Boomer and Bubbles.) Boomer: All right, Bubbles. You ready to give him the sonic shock ball. Bubbles: You bet, Boomie! (Boomer and Bubbles have electricity surging out of their hands, as they form an electric ball. Narrator: Wow! Now that’s teamwork right there. But what’s this? It looks like there has been a prison breakout and those prisoners are about to attack Team Xtreme! What are they to do now? Prisoner 2: If you ain’t gonna attack us, we’re gonna attack you! (The escaped prisoners then band together and mercilessly beat up all the members of Team Xtreme, thus giving them bruises, black-eyes, lacerations, broken noses, broken teeth, and more blood coming out from their bodies.) I wish you a great birthday and lots of love to you. It is commonplace that lions stick and fight together as one pride. Well, for Team Xtreme they are proof positive. Moreover, it looks like our dear Team Xtreme members have gone feral, as in they are acting like lions roaring at the top of their lungs and protecting their pride against any trespasser. Their prey of choice would usually be vandals, arsonists, robbers, demons, monsters, and all types of villains who dare disturb their peace. They also hunt for the usual antelope, zebra, and buffalo much like every lion. Brick and Butch are the Alpha Males of this pride. Their fierceness, strength, and ferocity are legendary. If any invader dares to trespass or disturb the peace, these muscular warriors will not hesitate to sound the call by beating their chests complete with their earth-shattering roars and let their teammates come to arms. In terms of their relationship with each other, they enjoy testing their strength and engaging in close-contact battles with each other to prove who the stronger Alpha Male really is. They are also tough on their younger brother, Boomer, but tender to their mates, Blossom and Buttercup, and even playful to their youngest teammate, Bubbles. Boomer may not be that much of an Alpha Male like his older brothers but he is very reliable in terms of his incredible strength and speed. Brick and Butch love to show their dominance by flexing their muscles at Boomer. He would retaliate by flexing back at them and challenging them to a wrestling match. Back when he was a cub, he would always lose to Brick and Butch. However, now as a full-grown adult, he manages to show his older brother who they should never mess with. While he has a mate in Bubbles, he also likes to get it on with Blossom and Buttercup with his older brothers’ approval, as they know how close he is to all of the girls. Blossom and Buttercup function as the queens of their tribe. Their authority, courage, fierceness, and combat prowess are indubitably unrivaled. Blossom bears intuition, intellect, and agility which make her reliable in planning attacks. On the other hand, Buttercup bears a warrior’s pride, as she loves a good challenge. Seeing as they are Brick’s and Butch’s mates, though they also trade mates from time to time, Blossom and Buttercup ensure that they do not do anything rash, thus having their agility and speed be a perfect complement to Brick’s and Butch’s brawns. They are also tender to Boomer, as they see that underneath his brawny shell lies a kind soul who is willing to protect their pride. Bubbles may be the youngest and the sweetest on the outside, but anger her and she will unleash her unbridled fury on those who oppose her. She’s playful and respectful to Brick and Butch, loving and tender towards Boomer, as he is her mate, and extremely close to her older sisters, Blossom and Buttercup. It’s Summertime! And for Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles, aka The Fearlessly Fabulous Four, it’s the time where they have to look totally fly complete with shades, for the temperature has been rising in good, old Townsville, USA. I definitely enjoyed drawing this, as I was able to color their respective sunglasses and attire and the results were extremely pleasing. Boomer has definitely brought out his inner Muscles Glasses from Epic Meal Time. From the stoic expression to his awesome built he certainly makes the cut. Personality-wise, he’s more of a Tyler. Makes me wonder what Townsville’s version of Epic Meal Time looks like in terms of the cast. Obviously Brick fits Harley the most, Butch would be akin to Muscles Glasses, Boomer might be Tyler, and maybe other guys like Mitch Mitchelson and Mike Believe would be brought in to complete the roster. Let me know in the comments what your ideal Epic Meal Time Townsville Edition cast would look like. Blossom looks absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy I was able to get her stylishness down to a T and those rose-tinted glasses are a perfect fit. Buttercup admittedly acts more like Muscles Glasses in this picture given her equally stoic expression and the camouflage pants are a great fit for someone who is Team Xtreme’s toughest fighter. Finally, there’s Bubbles. I cannot tell you how much effort I had to put in order to get the peace sign down to T, but for what I accomplished I am rather proud of myself. So, there you have it. Let’s all unwind and take a nice stroll with another beloved OT4 from the Powerpuff Girls universe, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles, which is thus connected as Boomsomutterblesor, as I would like to call them, The Fearlessly Fabulous Four. We obviously see, from left to right, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles looking rather serene and placid in a forest with an orange tree, an apple tree, and a garland of flowers that serves as a bridge between the two. Much like my previous Bricksomutchercup fan art, Boomer is 23, Blossom and Buttercup are 22, and Bubbles is 21. While I do love Brick, Butch, Blossom, and Buttercup because of how tough, strong, and awesome they are together as an OT4, combining Boomer with all three Powerpuff Girls is not only fascinating but it also paves the way for a healthier, more civil, and more loving relationship with the four of them and the shipping plausibility that Boomer has with not only Bubbles but also with Blossom and Buttercup is rather intriguing, thus making interesting dynamics come to fruition. Moreover, I have always seen Boomer as the first Rowdyruff to drop the nasty act and become the Powerpuff Girls’ greatest friend, ally, and companion and I see Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles as the ones who are more positive influence in Boomer’s life and, therefore, aid him to be a much better, more loving, and an overall happier person. On a side note, this particular OT4 could very much have the scenario of any well-written harem anime akin to Ah! My Goddess and Saber Marionette J, where Boomer is the misunderstood, frustrated young man who is so sick and tired of being consistently picked on by his older brothers, Brick and Butch. By no means would he be a spineless male lead, Boomer is much better than those typical male protagonists in harem anime, as he would call off Brick and Butch for their bullying and condescending attitude and tell them to screw off. That is until he meets Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles does he not only secretly admire them but he also longs to have better companionship. Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles would not understand each other at first, but Bubbles, being the optimist, decides to welcome him with open arms. Obviously, Bubbles is the cheery, loving, optimistic, fun-loving young lady who loves to see the best in everyone and certainly feels very close to Boomer. Buttercup is the stubborn, athletic, rambunctious, fiercely outspoken tomboy with a rather soft center that might be discovered by Boomer. Finally, Blossom is the book smart, eloquent, composed, virtuous, ladylike diplomat who sees beyond Boomer’s hard shell and realizes how much he’s hurting and how much he wants to be more loved. Thus, these three young ladies would give Boomer love in their own special ways, Blossom with her poise, compassion, empathy, and willingness to help him become a better person, Buttercup with her own brand of tough love, thus ensuring that he stands up for himself, and Bubbles with her overall purity, unwavering kindness, compassion, love, and light that she brings to Boomer, thus making his affections for her rather infectious. Essentially, Boomer does match Keiichi Morisato’s everyman nature and Otaru’s energetic personality. Blossom bears Belldandy’s and Cherry’s composure, elegance, and diplomacy while being a little more physical and outspoken. Buttercup has Urd’s feistiness and Bloodberry’s fierceness, athletic prowess, and toughness. Finally, Bubbles indubitably has Skuld’s cuteness, enthusiasm, and innocence as well as Lime’s endearingly energetic personality. Speaking of pairings, I know I made it really clear in my other two works involving Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles as well as the RRB/PPG pairing chart, but here’s the keyword version of my thoughts on the Boomer-centered pairings. Boomer x Blossom (Blossoomer)- endearing, plausible, charming, sweet, healthy, lovely, bears an innocence in terms of having the inwardly gentle Boomer and the diplomatically eloquent Blossom being paired up, has the potential to be a beneficial romantic pairing, makes me empathize these two, as Boomer is my most favorite Rowdyruff of all time and Blossom is my most favorite Powerpuff of all time next to Buttercup. Speaking of Buttercup. Boomer x Buttercup (Boomercup)- hilarious, cute, charming in an offbeat way, interesting role reversal with Boomer being rather submissive to Buttercup who wears the pants in this relationship, makes a great source of entertainment, just as healthy, as they help build each others’ self-esteem through encouragement and breaking down each others’ walls, functions more as a platonic pairing though more power to anyone who enjoys pairing these two up. Boomer x Bubbles (Boomubbles)- the healthiest, most endearing, most plausible, the loveliest, and, in my opinion, the greatest of the color-coded RRB/PPG pairings, bears a fairy-tale-like element with Boomer doing everything he can to keep Bubbles safe from harm, star-crossed lovers akin to Romeo and Juliet and Tristan and Isolde, meant for each other despite all odds, shows the most stability in terms of their overall synergy, hence Boomubbles being my Number 1 OTP for life when it comes to RRB/PPG pairings.
