Martial Arts Training for Dudley and Daisy Redone

Greetings, anime fans, martial arts aficionados, fighting game devotees, and enthusiasts of all things about anime, martial arts, video games, and fighting tournaments. Antoni here with another written entry. This has been a long time in the making since I finished writing my Master’s Thesis over three weeks ago. Since I started making that lovely present for my dear friend and one of my most loyal watchers, Jeffrey Quick aka Ginga1122, last year, I thought it would be grand to provide a more updated version of the fourteen anime martial arts teams training Dudley and Daisy. I promise that this revised version shall be a lot more exciting, considering the more updated choices I have for a great chunk of the martial arts teams. Besides, Dudley x Daisy has remained top of mind as my most beloved T.U.F.F. Puppy one true pairing of all time. As always, I have placed Dudley’s and Daisy’s human ages on show. Furthermore, they will learn the signature techniques from each individual group member and will be divided into weeks according to the groups. I am going to town with this version this time. So, I hope you all sit back, relax, and enjoy this more updated version.

Tokyo, Japan. May 17, 2014, the date which the second season’s twenty-sixth episode “Girlfriend or Foe?” aired on the Nicktoons Network. 26-year-old Dudley Puppy and his 24-year-old wife, Daisy Spaniel-Puppy, were enthusiastic to set foot in Tokyo for fourteen weeks of totally intense martial arts immersion. Joining them were their seven children: 4-year-old twin sons Damien Callum Puppy and Darren Carlton Puppy, 3-year-old triplet sons Dennis Edward Puppy, David Elmer Puppy, and Devon Ezekiel Puppy; and 2-year-old twin daughters Dorothy Grace Puppy and Dominique Glory Puppy. The Puppy family arranged for their driver to travel around the various locales they were training in. The driver in question was Totosai, who was old but was still sufficiently active to drive the Puppy family around, babysit the Puppy offspring, and tend to Dudley and Daisy if they found themselves in physical pain from their intense training. Totosai showed them their apartment complete with a huge kitchen, a bathroom downstairs and another upstairs, and a spacious room fit for the whole Puppy family. The room also included a twin bed for Damien and Darren; a triplet bed for Dennis, David, and Devon; and a twin bed for Dorothy and Dominique on one side of the room and a queen-sized bed for Dudley and Daisy on the other side of the room. Totosai also had his own bedroom downstairs, given that he was the Puppy family’s chauffeur and caretaker during their fourteen weeks in Tokyo. The Puppy family settled into their new apartment with bags unpacked and itineraries prepared for fourteen weeks of intense martial arts training. Damien, Darren, Dennis, David, Devon, Dorothy, and Dominique were still very young toddlers trying out the techniques that their parents would learn. Nevertheless, they were prepared to absorb new skills that would assist them in their growth as combatants.

As Dudley and Daisy were agents and combat specialists for the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force or T.U.F.F. for short, they were ecstatic to see that their little children wanted to be just as proficient as they were in combat. They even agreed to let their children start young for them to be just as immersed as they were, with Totosai lending his watchful eye to them. Time waited for nobody. Dudley and Daisy prepared their bodies, minds, and souls for highly intense training, while their children were going to participate and root for their parents. The journey has just begun in learning various techniques while trying to remain in one piece.

Week 1- The Splendid Seven of Nerima: Feral Beasts on a Roaring Rampage (Sesshoumaru, Shuran, Inuyasha, Hakkaku, Ginta, Ayame, and Shunran)

Dudley’s and Daisy’s first mentors were a septet of ferocious Yokai martial arts warriors renowned for their feral brutality in international martial arts tournaments. They were the platonic duo Sesshoumaru and Shuran, the power couple Inuyasha and Ayame, and the gorgeous throuple Hakkaku, Shunran, and Ginta. They were excited to train under them, as their children heard stories about Sesshoumaru’s cold deadliness, Shuran’s rampaging brutishness, Inuyasha’s muscular strength, Hakkaku’s undying stealth, Ginta’s unwavering stamina, Ayame’s determined ferocity, and Shunran’s sharp accuracy. They were even renowned for triumphing against opponents bigger and stronger than they were, such as the case of their epic win in the Winter 2004 Austrian Alps martial arts tournament against Ulrich Wernerstein and his bodybuilder goons. The Splendid Seven’s reputation for being seven fearsome Yokai martial arts warriors was about to be put to the extreme test and would end up putting Dudley and Daisy in a world of pain and pandemonium. Nevertheless, they were prepared to learn to overcome even the fiercest and scariest of opponents.

• Day 1- Mixed Martial Arts plus Vale Tudo, Luta Livre, Huka-Huka, Modern Pankration, Pancrase, Combat Sambo, and Catch Wrestling with 33-year-old Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha (Hell’s Gate submission holds)
• Day 2- Professional Wrestling plus Sumo Wrestling, Lutte Traditionelle, Gidigbo, Malla-yuddha, Pehlwani, Boli Khela, and Mongolian Wrestling with 32-year-old Shuran from Inuyasha (Canadian backbreaker racks)
• Day 3- Ancient Greek Wrestling plus Shoot Wrestling, Kapu Kuialua, Ancient Pankration, Ssireum, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Freestyle Wrestling, and Folkstyle Wrestling with 32-year-old Inuyasha from Inuyasha (sharpshooters)
• Day 4- Muay Boran plus Lerdrit, Bokator, Muay Lao, Muay Korat, Muay Chaiya, Muay Lopburi, and Muay Thasao with 31-year-old Hakkaku from Inuyasha (spine-lock takedowns)
• Day 5- Lethwei plus Bokator, Lerdrit, Muay Lao, Muay Thasao, Muay Lopburi, Muay Korat, and Muay Chaiya with 31-year-old Ginta from Inuyasha (neck-snap takedowns)
• Day 6- Xtreme Gladiator Kickboxing plus Shooto, Shootfighting, Shoot Boxing, Draka Kickboxing, Kyuk Too Ki, Muay Thai, and Pradal Serey with 29-year-old Ayame from Inuyasha (ground-and-pounds)
• Day 7- Sanda plus Dutch Kickboxing, Japanese Kickboxing, American Kickboxing, Wing Chun, Bajiquan, Baguazhang, and Changquan with 28-year-old Shunran from Inuyasha (sprawl-and-brawls)

Week 2- The Stupendously Stellar Septenary of Shinjuku: Devastating Missiles on Fire (Kurz, Masaru, Tatsuya, Ichise, Kiba, Ran, and Cheza)

The brutal thrashings and feral viciousness that the seven Yokai martial arts warriors with attitude delivered to Dudley and Daisy might have made them experience high levels of unrelenting evisceration. However, it was only a snapshot of what was offered, for they were on their way to encounter their next set of mentors. If Dudley and Daisy thought that their first week was viscerally eviscerating, their second week was going to test their strength, stamina, stealth, and perseverance. The platonic trio of Kurz Weber, Masaru Aoki, and Tatsuya Kimura were renowned for their devastating physical strength in the arena, given the amount of blows, chokes, and drops they offered to their opponents. The platonic duo of Ichise and Kiba were acclaimed for their sharp focus, determination, and lethal attacks inside the mixed martial arts arenas of the world. Ichise’s and Kiba’s respective wives, Ran and Cheza, were famous for their combination of lethal attacks, pinpoint accuracy, and eye-popping flexibility. This was another fascinating endeavor for Dudley and Daisy to shine and learn from their new set of mentors through a combination of strength and stealth.

• Day 8- Vale Tudo with 32-year-old Kurz Weber from Full Metal Panic (body avalanches)
• Day 9- Luta Livre with 32-year-old Masaru Aoki from Hajime no Ippo (double axe handles)

• Day 11- Shooto with 30-year-old Ichise from Texhnolyze (rear-naked chokes)
• Day 12- Shootfighting with 30-year-old Kiba from Wolf’s Rain (triangle chokes)
• Day 13- Wing Chun with 25-year-old Ran from Texhnolyze (leopard blows)
• Day 14- Bajiquan with 25-year-old Cheza from Wolf’s Rain (tiger claw strikes)

Week 3- The Superbly Sweeping Septet of Adachi: Vicious Cyclones Crushing Every Obstacle (Mario, Atsunobu, Ryuichi, Hiroto, Kintaro, Ayu, and Nina)

The previous went by as quickly as all of the slams, chokeholds, and strikes that Dudley and Daisy endured. Even with their bodies fraught with bruises from their various bouts, Totosai brought them back to physical health, while their seven children continued to cheer their parents on. Totosai also made great use of the groceries Dudley and Daisy bought from the local market to make sure that Damien, Darren, Dennis, David, Devon, Dorothy, and Dominique were well-fed to their hearts’ content. There was no time for Dudley and Daisy to be complacent, for the next set of mentors was waiting for them in Adachi. The platonic quartet of Mario Musicanova, Atsunobu Hayashimizu, Ryuichi Hayami, and Hiroto Amagiwa had various grappling techniques in store. Kintaro Toyama was prepared to give them a taste of his signature chokes to tap his opponents out. Kintaro’s two wives, Ayu Tateishi and Nina Sakura, were ready to imprint them with high-velocity, high-impact strikes they will never forget. From what Dudley and Daisy were about to witness, they were about to enter the stormy vortex once again. This time, they were never going to back down, let alone surrender.

• Day 15- Modern Pankration with 32-year-old Mario Musicanova from Geneshaft (European uppercuts)
• Day 16- Pancrase with 31-year-old Atsunobu Hayashimizu from Full Metal Panic (elbow smashes)
• Day 17- Combat Sambo with 31-year-old Ryuichi Hayami from Hajime no Ippo (elbow drops)
• Day 18- Catch Wrestling with 30-year-old Hiroto Amagiwa from Geneshaft (forearm clubs)
• Day 19- Shoot Boxing with 30-year-old Kintaro Toyama from Detective School Q (guillotine chokes)
• Day 20- Baguazhang with 25-year-old Ayu Tateishi from Ultra Maniac (eagle claw strikes)
• Day 21- Changquan with 25-year-old Nina Sakura from Ultra Maniac (crane beak strikes)

Week 4- The Iron Brawn Emperors of Edogawa: Massively Monstrous Muscle-Bound Execution (Yoshiki, Mamoru, Kuranosuke, Tsume, Mitsuhide, Kisuke, and Shinosuke)

Dudley and Daisy grew in physical strength, formidability, fortitude, accuracy, and stamina in their attacks. Dudley’s and Daisy’s training also made Damien, Darren, Dennis, David, Devon, Dorothy, and Dominique pick up on their parents’ learning experiences. Now, the canine couple must attend to the next batch of mentors who would test their physical strength. They were seven massive wrestler emperors renowned for their bulging muscles of tall mountain ranges made of iron and chromium and earthquake roars that could terrorize silverback gorillas, Tyrannosaurus rexes, bears, and lions. It was then off to the wrestling ring and gym to encounter Yoshiki Takaishi, Mamoru Takamura, Kuranosuke Takeda, Tsume, Mitsuhide Kuroda, Kisuke, and Shinosuke. Yoshiki’s towering might, Mamoru’s overpowering rampage, Kuranosuke’s imposing regality, Tsume’s visceral ferocity, Mitsuhide’s lethal strength, Kisuke’s relentless fortitude, and Shinosuke’s undeterred formidability could put Vince McMahon and all the professional wrestlers from WWE and TNA to shame. Dudley and Daisy were terrified yet excited to learn from these massively muscled wrestlers.

• Day 22- Sumo Wrestling with 34-year-old Yoshiki Takaishi from Shootfighter Tekken (vertebreakers)
• Day 23- Lutte Traditionelle with 34-year-old Mamoru Takamura from Hajime no Ippo (burning hammers)
• Day 24- Gidigbo with 34-year-old Kuranosuke Takeda from Inuyasha (brainbusters)
• Day 25- Malla-yuddha with 33-year-old Tsume from Wolf’s Rain (powerbombs)
• Day 26- Pehlwani with 33-year-old Mitsuhide Kuroda from Shootfighter Tekken (piledrivers)
• Day 27- Boli Khela with 33-year-old Kisuke from Inuyasha (Canadian destroyers)
• Day 28- Mongolian Wrestling with 33-year-old Shinosuke from Inuyasha (shooting star presses)

Week 5- The Herculean Titanium Muscle God Kings of Setogawa: Magnificently Muscular Might (Baki, Ryoma, Takeshi, Kiibo, Alexander, Ichiro, and Ippo)

The various wrestling throws, chokes, lifts, holds, and drops might have nearly paralyzed Dudley and Daisy to the point where their nerves felt like meat in a butcher’s shop. Nonetheless, they had enough energy to tend to their children, while Totosai tended to their wounds. If Dudley and Daisy thought they endured such massively gorilla-sized thrashings, they were in for more in the next wrestling ring consisting of seven wrestler god kings: Baki Hanma, Ryoma Sakamoto, Takeshi Sendo, Kiichi “Kiibo” Miyazawa, Alexander Volg Zangief, Ichiro Miyata, and Ippo Makunouchi. These seven wrestler muscle god kings were acclaimed for their magnificently mighty muscles made of steel and titanium and huge roars that could put lions, tigers, jaguars, panthers, and leopards to shame. Baki’s massive muscles of chromium, Ryoma’s bulging muscles of titanium, Takeshi’s stupendous muscles of steel, Kiibo’s muscular endurance, Alexander’s brawny intimidation, Ichiro’s strapping determination, and Ippo’s ripped willpower further tested their strength and stamina. It was off to the next wrestling ring for Dudley and Daisy to endure more sessions of holds, lifts, and throws.

• Day 29- Shoot Wrestling with 32-year-old Baki Hanma from Baki the Grappler (Argentine DDTs)
• Day 30- Kapu Kuialua with 32-year-old Ryoma Sakamoto from Shura no Toki (chokeslams)
• Day 31- Ancient Pankration with 31-year-old Takeshi Sendo from Hajime no Ippo (German suplexes)

Week 6- The Voraciously Bodacious Blood Empresses of Ota: Hell Hath No Fury (Toran, Blue, Wakana, Mika, Enju, Karan, and Takako)

Two weeks of dealing two groups of muscular wrestlers’ holds, drops, racks, lifts, bearhugs, backbreakers, and chokes brought Dudley and Daisy to a world of near pandemonium underneath those mightily massive and marvelously magnificent muscles. This week was going to be full of more brutal and lethal attacks with clinches, strikes, holds, and grapples. Sure, Dudley and Daisy grew much stronger and more physically formidable from learning various wrestling techniques with The Iron Brawn Emperors and The Herculean Titanium Muscle God Kings. However, their next mentors would not be lenient on the canine couple. Toran, Blue, Wakana, Mika Seido, Enju, Karan, and Takako Kawashima were the empresses of clinching, grappling, and striking, the respective wives of Yoshiki, Mamoru, Kuranosuke, Tsume, Mitsuhide, Kisuke, and Shinosuke, and were just as formidable as their massively muscle-bound husbands. Toran’s military formidability, Blue’s unbeatable fierceness, Wakana’s unwavering perseverance, Mika’s ferocious toughness, Enju’s lethal focus, Karan’s passionate flair, and Takako’s constant encouragement bolstered Dudley’s and Daisy’s ambition.

• Day 36- Lerdrit with 32-year-old Toran from Inuyasha (clinching headbutts)
• Day 37- Bokator with 32-year-old Blue from Wolf’s Rain (thrusting headbutts)
• Day 38- Muay Lao with 31-year-old Wakana from Inuyasha (rushing headbutts)
• Day 39- Muay Korat with 30-year-old Mika Seido from Geneshaft (diving headbutts)
• Day 40- Muay Chaiya with 29-year-old Enju from Inuyasha (double elbow chops)
• Day 41- Muay Lopburi with 29-year-old Karan from Inuyasha (elbow slashes)
• Day 42- Muay Thasao with 29-year-old Takako Kawashima from Shootfighter Tekken (elbow thrusts)

Week 7- The Explosively Limbering Limb Queens of Machida: Pulsating Power (Rosé T, Rose A, Winry, Megumi, Maya, Solty, and Kaoru)

Dudley and Daisy owed it to Toran, Blue, Wakana, Mika, Enju, Karan, and Takako for assisting them in turning their heads, limbs, and skeletons into indestructible alloys of steel and concrete. While the canine couple took every clinch, takedown, grapple, and strike home for their family, they encountered more challenges with another set of gorgeously stunning yet formidably fierce ladies. Rosé Thomas, Rose Anderson, Winry Rockbell, Megumi Minami, Maya Orihara, Solty Revant, and Kaoru Ichinose proved their physical formidability, stealthy stamina, and agile reflexes as a septet of queens ready to throw the first punches, kicks, elbow strikes, knee strikes, shin strikes, grapples, and takedowns and the respective wives of Baki, Ryoma, Takeshi, Kiibo, Alexander, Ichiro, and Miyata. Their husbands might have had the magnificent muscles and mythical manliness, but these ladies were prepared with their visceral strikes. Rosé’s persevering stealth, Rose’s relentless stamina, Winry’s bionic strength, Megumi’s fearless intuition, Maya’s sharp focus, Solty’s quick reflexes, and Kaoru’s elegant agility served to place Dudley and Daisy on the right track to excellent resilience.

• Day 43- Draka Kickboxing with 27-year-old Rosé Thomas from Fullmetal Alchemist (horizontal elbows)
• Day 44- Kyuk Too Ki with 27-year-old Rose Anderson from Solty Rei (upward elbows)
• Day 45- Muay Thai with 26-year-old Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist (downward elbows)
• Day 46- Pradal Serey with 25-year-old Megumi Minami from Detective School Q (Superman punches)
• Day 47- Dutch Kickboxing with 25-year-old Maya Orihara from Ultra Maniac (overhand punches)
• Day 48- Japanese Kickboxing with 25-year-old Solty Revant from Solty Rei (Bolo punches)
• Day 49- American Kickboxing with 25-year-old Kaoru Ichinose from Detective School Q (reverse punches)

Week 8- The Poisonous Punishers of Shinagawa: Strangulating Acid and Venom (Shido, Ban, Ginji, Himiko, Satella, Beatrice, and Kaname)

Not a day went by when the two sets of women mentors showered Dudley and Daisy with a barrage of strikes, takedowns, and grapples all over their bodies, for it all felt like it was just yesterday. Despite those physically demanding ordeals, they continued to show enthusiasm for learning new techniques. Their children saw their enthusiasm and rooted for them in all their endeavors. Totosai continued to also do his part and cheer Dudley and Daisy on while babysitting their children. Dudley and Daisy were thrilled to encounter Shido Fuyuki, Ban Mido, Ginji Amano, Himiko Kudou, Satella Harvenheit, Beatrice Ratio, and Kaname Chidori because of their specialty in submission grappling and takedowns, especially for self-defense. Shido, Ban, and Ginji were highly regarded as the most technically proficient but most lethal jujutsukas with a knack for holding their opponents hostage with a medley of chokeholds and leverage. Himiko, Satella, Beatrice, and Kaname were mavens in submission holds and takedowns and demonstrated relentlessness in every obstacle they encountered. At this point, nothing was going to daunt Dudley and Daisy in their combat journey.

• Day 50- Japanese Jujitsu with 34-year-old Shido Fuyuki from GetBackers (Kimuras)
• Day 51- Brazilian Jujitsu with 34-year-old Ban Mido from GetBackers (Gogoplatas)
• Day 52- German Jujitsu with 33-year-old Ginji Amano from GetBackers (Omoplatas)
• Day 53- Krav Maga with 30-year-old Himiko Kudou from GetBackers (supinating wristlocks)
• Day 54- Pencak Silat with 30-year-old Satella Harvenheit from Chrono Crusade (double leg takedowns)
• Day 55- Kuntao with 30-year-old Beatrice Ratio from Geneshaft (kneebars)
• Day 56- Vovinam with 30-year-old Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic (armbars)

Week 9- The Quick Quantums of Itabashi: Raging Earthquakes and Flames (Kyuzo, Heihachi, Sousuke, Tessa, Mizuki, Natsumi, and Remmy)

The chokeholds and submission holds that Dudley and Daisy endured might have nearly shut their lights out. However, tapping out was never in their vocabulary, for they always found perseverance even when bouts got tougher than ever. Since dealing with those attacks from the previous week, Dudley and Daisy only got more compelled to grow a lot more in their martial arts quest. Their children and Totosai noticed a marked improvement on how Dudley and Daisy sparred and fought against threats invisible and visible. Dudley’s and Daisy’s focus and determination were about to be further tested when they encountered seven combatants famous for their speed, power, and accurate timing. Kyuzo, Heihachi Hayashida, and Sousuke Sagara had vice-like grappling skills and throws that placed their opponents in a frozen standstill. Teletha “Tessa” Testarossa and Mizuki Inaba had quick strikes that incapacitated their opponents. Natsumi and Remmy has lightning-fast kicks that made Olympic-level triathletes jealous. Whatever the outcome of Dudley’s and Daisy’s bouts with their mentors would be, they were constantly willing to be open to these challenges.

• Day 57- Kajukenbo with 31-year-old Kyuzo from Samurai 7 (hip throws)
• Day 58- Judo with 30-year-old Heihachi Hayashida from Samurai 7 (leg wheels)
• Day 59- Jeet Kune Do with 30-year-old Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic (rear throws)
• Day 60- Nippon Kenpo with 30-year-old Teletha “Tessa” Testarossa from Full Metal Panic (ox jaw strikes)
• Day 61- Shorinji Kenpo with 29-year-old Mizuki Inaba from Full Metal Panic (ridge hand strikes)
• Day 62- Hapkido with 29-year-old Natsumi Mizuki from GetBackers (spin kicks)
• Day 63- Taekwondo with 28-year-old Remmy Levi-Strauss from Geneshaft (axe kicks)

Week 10- The Radioactive Rebels of Arakawa: Freezing Rain and Snow Storms (Hige, Chrono, Shinji, Akemi, Eclair, Sakurako, and Rosette)

There was no doubt that Dudley and Daisy increased in blazing speed, quick reflexes, and accurate timing, but they could never have had enough of it. Their desire to neither slow down nor slack off remained as blazing as ever. Come feeding time or bedtime for their children and tending to Totosai’s sagacious medical advice, they were always on the go to ensure that nobody and nothing fell apart. All of what Dudley and Daisy continued to accomplish showed with flying colors. This brings them to their next set of mentors who made sure that their punches and kicks were as potent, focused, and accurate as ever. They were Hige, Chrono, Shinji Kazama, Akemi Takaishi, Eclair, Sakurako Yukihira, and Rosette Christopher. Hige, Chrono, and Shinji bore a medley of punches to ensure nice, clean, and efficient knockouts every time opponents dared to challenge them. Akemi, Eclair, Sakurako, and Rosette possessed various kicks that not only looked amazing but also ascertained a high level of accuracy and precise focus. Knowing the full extent of what Dudley and Daisy were about to endure, they charged headfirst into the storm full of punches, kicks, and strikes.

• Day 64- Panantukan with 29-year-old Hige from Wolf’s Rain (uppercuts)
• Day 65- Yaw-Yan with 29-year-old Chrono from Chrono Crusade (jabs)
• Day 66- Sikaran with 29-year-old Shinji Kazama from Full Metal Panic (hooks)
• Day 67- Musti-Yuddha with 28-year-old Akemi Takaishi from Shootfighter Tekken (heel roundhouse kicks)
• Day 68- Adithada with 28-year-old Eclair from Kiddy Grade (downward roundhouse kicks)
• Day 69- Combat Hopak with 28-year-old Sakurako Yukihira from Detective School Q (straight leg roundhouse kicks)
• Day 70- Savate with 27-year-old Rosette Christopher from Chrono Crusade (spinning back roundhouse kicks)

Week 11- The Kyokushin Karate Lords of Oshima: Iron Might (Kyosuke, Rafael, Koji, Hiroshi, Katsushiro, Eriol, and Syaoran)

With every session Dudley and Daisy found themselves in, they continued to thrive exceedingly well and found more purpose as combatants and individuals. Their discipline, passion, and dedication accelerated and strengthened their resolve, thus making them more motivated after every training session. Among the many martial arts figures Dudley and Daisy admired during their time in Tokyo was Mas Oyama the founder of Kyokushin Karate. His hard style of karate saw a throng of Kyokushin Karate specialists also thrive in kickboxing while never forgetting about their karate roots. The seven gentlemen who inducted the canine couple into Sosai Oyama’s principles of Kyokushin Karate were Kyosuke Kano, Rafael Rodrigo da Silva, Koji Jefferson Sakai, Hiroshi Ichikawa, Katsushiro Okamoto, Eriol Hiragizawa, and Li Syaoran. Kyosuke’s virility, Rafael’s persistence, Koji’s determination, Hiroshi’s perseverance, Katsushiro’s stealth, Eriol’s stamina, and Syaoran’s speed could enable Dudley and Daisy to muster up all the fighting spirit inside to honor Sosai Oyama’s legacy in Kyokushin Karate. It was going to be tough and hard, but they were here to learn and thrive.

• Day 73- Enshin Karate with 28-year-old Koji Jefferson Sakai from Hungry Heart (vertical punches)
• Day 74- Seidokaikan Karate with 28-year-old Hiroshi Ichikawa from Hungry Heart (low punches)
• Day 75- Kudo Karate with 28-year-old Katsushiro Okamoto from Samurai 7 (lunge punches)
• Day 76- Shidokan Karate with 27-year-old Eriol Hiragizawa from Cardcaptor Sakura (forefist punches)
• Day 77- Satojuku Karate with 27-year-old Li Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura (mountain punches)

Week 12- The Shotokan Karate Princes of Akihabara: Steel Malleability (Joshua, Edward, Toboe, Ryu, Kyu, Alphonse, and Kazuma)

Dudley and Daisy endured multiple bruises, thanks to their intense training in various Kyokushin Karate styles including the original one. There were days when they felt like their legs and arms were made out of gelatin after enduring those hard blows to the chest, shoulders, and legs. Regardless of those pains, they saw them as battle scars and kept marching forward. Another Karate master they have learned to appreciate during their Tokyo adventure was Gichin Funakoshi the founder of Shotokan Karate. They knew that Shotokan Karate was not as easy as it seemed because of how implemented long stances and heaps of accurate timing in every technique thrown. Fortunately for Dudley and Daisy, they did not need to feel lost in Shotokan Karate and its descendants. They had the mentorship of another septet of karateka gentlemen. They were Joshua Christopher, Edward Elric, Toboe, Ryu Amakusa, Kyu Renjou, Alphonse Elric, and Kazuma Narusawa. Joshua’s intuition, Edward’s courage, Toboe’s passion, Ryu’s clarity, Kyu’s charisma, Alphonse’s patience, and Kazuma’s intellect assisted Dudley and Daisy in learning techniques from the Shotokan Karate discipline. Thus, the canine couple became more enlightened and insightful.

• Day 83- Shito-Ryu Karate with 25-year-old Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist (backfist strikes)
• Day 84- Uechi-Ryu Karate with 23-year-old Kazuma Narusawa from Detective School Q (backhand strikes)

Week 13- The Kwon Kung Fu Ladies of Minato: Titanium Reflexes and Strikes (Meiling, Sakura, Kuniko, Tomoyo, Myu, Luna, and Tiki)

Recuperating from two weeks worth of various karate styles may be easier said than done, given the rigorous routines they endured. Nevertheless, this has spurred Dudley and Daisy on to make consistent use of their increased speed, heightened reflexes, and relentless stamina in this second-to-the-last week worth of training. Totosai and all of their seven children recognized how wonderfully conditioned Dudley and Daisy were being every waking morning and before they went to bed at night. What Dudley and Daisy were expecting was absorbing various techniques from Korean and Chinese martial arts with absolute abandon. Step forward Meiling Li, Sakura Kinomoto, Kuniko Touya, Tomoyo Daidouji, Myu, Luna, and Tiki Musicanova who made sure to immerse the canine couple into their exciting routine. They were also the respective wives of Kyosuke, Rafael, Koji, Hiroshi, Katsushiro, Eriol, and Syaoran. Meiling’s exuberance, Sakura’s cheer, Kuniko’s ebullience, Tomoyo’s support, Myu’s charm, Luna’s reverence, and Tiki’s joyousness kept Dudley and Daisy interested in learning the various techniques Korean and Chinese martial arts had to offer.

• Day 86- Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu with 26-year-old Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura (one-inch punches)
• Day 87- Yongmudo with 26-year-old Kuniko Touya from Detective School Q (one-knuckle punches)
• Day 88- Hung Ga with 26-year-old Tomoyo Daidouji from Cardcaptor Sakura (knuckle strikes)
• Day 89- Gongkwon Yusul with 25-year-old Myu from Wolf’s Rain (spear finger strikes)
• Day 90- Kuk Sool Won with 25-year-old Luna from Ultra Maniac (chestnut strikes)
• Day 91- Hwa Rang Do with 25-year-old Tiki Musicanova from Geneshaft (finger strikes)

Week 14- The Kwon Cap Princesses of Shibuya: Platinum Leaps and Glides (Lan Fan, Kirara, Azmaria, Mei Chang, Leara, Lumiére, and Claus)

Dudley’s and Daisy’s final week of martial arts training went out with backflips, cartwheels, splits, and zero-gravity attacks galore after the previous week of learning some effective strikes. They were ebullient to know that their final mentors were going to give them speedy flights filled with accuracy and clear timing. Their final mentors were brilliant young ladies specializing in an eclectic mixture of Korean martial arts and Brazilian Capoeira. This meant that Dudley and Daisy were going to find themselves doing techniques requiring agility, speed, precision, and sharpness. Accomplishing this task were Lan Fan, Kirara Mikumari, Azmaria Hendric, Mei Chang, Leara, Lumiére, and Claus who were also the respective wives of Joshua, Edward, Toboe, Ryu, Kyu, Alphonse, and Kazuma. Lan Fan’s benevolence, Kirara’s encouragement, Azmaria’s understanding, Mei Chang’s positivity, Leara’s cheer, Lumiére’s wisdom, and Claus’s civility propelled Dudley and Daisy to endure for these last few days. They could not have been any more grateful, blessed, and joyful than they were.

• Day 95- Capoeira Carioca with 23-year-old Mei Chang from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (compass crescent kicks)
• Day 96- Capoeira Angola with 22-year-old Leara from Wolf’s Rain (scorpion kicks)
• Day 97- Capoeira Contemporânea with 22-year-old Lumiére from Kiddy Grade (split kicks)
• Day 98- Capoeira Regional with 21-year-old Claus from Fullmetal Alchemist (butterfly kicks)

Dudley and Daisy were elated and ecstatic that they completed fourteen weeks of intense martial arts training with ninety-eight different mentors. Despite the eviscerating pain in their bodies, sleepless nights, and the massive amount of physical soreness they incurred, they were still able to thrive and light the burning flame as martial artists, individuals, and, most importantly, a couple. Totosai did his part in nursing the canine couple back to recovery to chauffeuring them and their seven children to the airport. Additionally, Damien, Darren, Dennis, David, Devon, Dorothy, and Dominique were proud of their parents for enduring all fourteen weeks without giving up and wanted to emulate their example when they grew up. With heavy hearts and tears flowing from their eyes, Dudley and Daisy bade goodbye to their ninety-eight martial arts mentors and hoped to see them next time. Totosai was also going to miss them, as he drove them to the airport and gave them and their children his blessings. As Dudley, Daisy, and their children arrived at the airport, they embraced Totosai and wished him well. After check-in and boarding, the Puppy family headed back to the United States of America full of exciting memories and challenges that made them flourish and thrive. Once Dudley and Daisy headed back home, they made sure to give time for their darling children and unwind from their exhilaratingly invigorating martial arts odyssey.
