When I was a middle schooler, I was introduced to this song originally sung by The Coasters as the opening theme to the Australian-Canadian animated sitcom Yakkity Yak as well as re-encountering it in a performance of Smokey Joe’s Café. I hope you enjoy my take on Yakety Yak, everybody.
