The Best Qualities from the Main Team Xtreme OTPs

Greetings, all ye hardcore Blossoomer, Brickercup, Butchubbles, Blossutch, and Boomubbles fans, shippers, and followers from all over the world, it is your old friend Antoni here with another written entry.

I know it is old news for me to be gushing on and on about my most beloved OTPs being Blossoomer, Brickercup, Butchubbles, Blossutch, and Boomubbles but these are the pairings that mean the world to me because of the human qualities I can find even though Brick, Butch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles are deemed as Townsville’s finest superheroes.

Moreover, these are the OTP ships that I will never take for granted and never let go because of how much inspiration I can be able to gather from Brick’s and Buttercup’s monogamous relationship to the polygamous relationships of Boomer x Blossom, Butch x Bubbles, Butch x Blossom, and Boomer x Bubbles. However, I am not just saying this as someone who ships Blossoomer, Brickercup, Butchubbles, Blossutch, and Boomubbles with such passion, resilience, ambition, and determination but also as someone who has been completely inspired by my very good friends and fellow artists who share my love for these aforementioned pairings. The truth remains that with all of these pairings that I cherish so much, there is always bound to be qualities about them that make me want to root for them to the nth degree.

With that said, let us discuss the best qualities found in Blossoomer, Brickercup, Butchubbles, Blossutch, and Boomubbles. Let the couples admiration commence, ladies and gentlemen.

Blossoomer is All About Compassion, Empathy, Humility, Self-Sacrifice, and Unconditional Love

Out of all the RRB x PPG couples, Blossoomer is the one that screams relationship goals for me because of how much Boomer and Blossom would be there for each other in times of need, joy, sorrow, frustration, doubt and/or surprises. There is a clear reason why I hold this couple in such high regard and that is because of how much these two are willing to support each other through thick and thin and ensure that whatever vices may occur, they can easily overcome each and every one of them.

I say that Boomer’s and Blossom’s relationship is based on compassion, empathy, humility, self-sacrifice, and genuineness because this is the most human, well-meaning, and stable relationship between a handsome, dashing, lovable dumb muscle and a gorgeous, articulate, savvy, elegant brainy beauty. There will be times in their lives that pain, loss, and doubt will occur but Boomer and Blossom would prove it in spades that whatever is going on, they can get through it by working together without any form of petty arguments or hubris.

Boomer would easily comprehend the burden that Blossom has of being the only sane woman, the role model, the model citizen, and the super genius who has to do her best to make everything perfect, thus ensuring her that she does not have to stress out about the small stuff all the time and let things go naturally. He could even do wonders for reducing her ego to ensure that she remains humble and attentive. Therefore, whenever Blossom has her moments of anxiety because of all the stress she has to overcome, Boomer would always be there to remind her that she is never alone and that she can always count on him to help her with anything that is eating at her. He could even prove himself to be a beacon of self-sacrifice by shielding Blossom from any mugger, murderer or marauder who would be so brazen to tarnish his beloved seraph, thus making her feel like a queen who deserves the best in what life and love has to offer her.

Through Boomer’s demonstration of compassion, Blossom would also understand what it feels like to be constantly under Brick’s and Butch’s shadow and can see that underneath all of that pain Boomer goes through is a lot of strength, resilience, and endurance that can help him carry through anything and everything. She can help him not worry about what others think of him and help him be proud of himself, thus increasing his self-esteem and feeling free to be his own person. Plus, she can feel free to let loose and be herself whenever she is around Boomer and not worry about how others should see her as.

When all is said and done, Boomer and Blossom would love each other for who they are, warts and all. Ergo, this is an example of a couple that will end up growing old together, be there for each other through thick and thin, good and bad, and root for each other to be the best versions of themselves.

Brickercup is All About Determination, Perseverance, Self-Confidence, Resilience, and Bluntness

Brickercup is that one RRB x PPG couple I have found myself consistently shipping because of how flawlessly Brick’s street smart, large-and-in-charge, intrepid personality can mesh well with Buttercup’s mischievousness, impulsiveness, and spice. They would be unafraid to acknowledge that their relationship is far from perfect but they can always find solutions to every problem as long as they set their minds to their goals. Ergo, Brick and Buttercup are a clear-cut example of not letting any obstacle get the best of them and overcome those obstacles with a steely attitude.

Brick and Buttercup would never dare flinch in any situation because with their iron will, exceptional combat prowess, physical and mental strength, and boundless resilience, they can be able to triumph anything and everything in one piece. Moreover, they would be unafraid to call out each other for their problems and make sure that they take charge not only as individuals but also as a couple. Therefore, their flaws, their baggage, and their issues will not stop them from being the great couple that they are, thus setting an example of being a couple who build themselves on fortitude and immense stamina.

Brick’s strong sense of confidence, bravado, and resilience are what Buttercup considers to be his best qualities. Sometimes, there will be moments where his ego will get the best of him but Buttercup would know how to call him out on his bloated ego. Being large-and-in-charge would also give Brick the opportunity to shield Buttercup from harm and ensure that she stays safe and well, even though she is independent enough to take great care of herself. Moreover, Brick would admire Buttercup for everything that she is because she does not have to veneer herself with fake glamor or be too much of a girly-girl. In Brick’s eyes, Buttercup is natural for the way she is and he would not have it any other way.

In turn, Buttercup would also recognize that Brick can be quite the roguish gentleman, which is what makes him attractive in her eyes. Sure, it would take dropping her defenses down to see that Brick does not intend to harm but with time and patience, she can see that he truly he is great the way he is. She loves how he would never dare back down from a fight and that is what makes him truly handsome in her eyes because he is not just another pretty face. He has toughness, resilience, a never-give-up-attitude, and loads of roguish charisma. Qualities that make Buttercup cherish Brick so much.

At the end of the day, it is true that their relationship can have its rocky moments but knowing these two, Brick and Buttercup would be more than capable of giving obstacles the boot and live life the way they want to live it with being open to new experiences and living in the moment as excitingly as they can.

Butchubbles is All About Balance, Protection, Gratitude, Good Vibes, and Trust

To this day, I am still surprised how rapidly Butchubbles has grown on me. Initially, I thought it would never work. However, thanks to being exposed to couples such as Arashi x Miwako, Seiji x Midori, and Kevin x Gwen, I can feel free to embrace Butchubbles for what this couple represents. Butch and Bubbles can find a lot of balance with each other and acknowledge each others’ strengths and weaknesses, thus bringing a sense of normality to each other. Moreover, they would even feel very comfortable with each other with Butch dropping his defenses and Bubbles feeling so euphoric to have someone as big, strong, and oddly chivalrous as he is.

Butchubbles stands out in more ways than one because of how their different personalities bounce off of each other. One might think that Bubbles would be so scared of someone as rough, tough, and wild Butch but if there is one thing I have learned from watching and rewatching “Bubblevicious” it is this. Bubbles does not deserve to be underestimated like that. Therefore, Butch would see beyond the cute, innocent veneer and see someone who can be just as capable, strong, and feisty than she appears to be. In turn, Bubbles would see that Butch may have this rough outer shell, but inside, he can be very protective, loyal, and supportive. Henceforth, I am oddly fascinated by this particular couple, which is obviously a good thing because of how their personalities blend and find so much stability.

Butch’s super strength, animalistic combat prowess, and endless endurance are the very reasons that not only the facets that make him very ruggedly handsome towards Bubbles but they prove to be a great source of her unending gratitude towards him. Think about it. Butch would be the type of guy who would save Bubbles from any near-death circumstance whether it be buildings set on fire or any monster who would put Bubbles in a very delicate position. It also helps that he has his signature forcefield to maximize the protection scale to its full potential, thus ensuring that Bubbles does not get injured nor defiled in any shape or form.

Which then leads me to Bubbles. Knowing the many times Butch would go out of his way to protect her from all types of creeps, monsters, and disasters, she would be absolutely grateful to him for saving her. She would reward him by not only giving him hugs and kisses and all of that syrupy, sentimental goodness but also give him one thing that neither of them should ever break, which is trust. Trust that they would stay by each others’ sides no matter what happens. Trust that they can depend on each other and help each other from their doldrums. Trust that they can love each other until all forms of time and space come to an end. With that said trust comes a relationship that can help Butch and Bubbles acknowledge on how they can grow as people while also seeing the hidden talents that they have. Butch can help Bubbles become a much stronger and tougher fighter while also helping her acknowledge that there is always going to be a time and place for her “Bubblevicious” side to emerge and that would be in moments of total danger or despair. Meanwhile, Bubbles would tirelessly help Butch become a more compassionate, loving, and kinder person by sticking with him every day of the week and see that he is not all bad, he is just misunderstood yet really rough around the edges.

All in all, the sense of protection that Butch can carry off to Bubbles, the gratitude she has for him, and their balance in personalities are ample reasons why Butchubbles is not only cute and adorable on the outside but well-meaning and healthy on the inside.

Blossutch is All About Courage, Synergy, Diplomacy, Understanding, and Progress

Yes, this should come off as no surprise as to how much I cherish Butch and Blossom as a couple. Blossutch is not just about how hot, gorgeous, and attractive this whole pairing between a brawny, brutish bad boy and an articulate, poised bookworm but also how two souls can be courageous to show each other that they are a lot more than a sum of their parts. Ergo, Blossutch is a fine example of how dynamic, healthy, and surprising a relationship can be.

One facet that seals the deal for me when it comes to Blossutch is how brave both Butch and Blossom are as people. Yes, they are exceptional combatants with Butch’s muscular strength, animalistic combat prowess, and brutal reflexes pairing up like an erotic symphony or ballet of motion, speed, and skill with Blossom’s lethal accuracy, pinpoint timing, and boundless discipline. Aside from their exceptional skills as fighters who manage to open up a can of whoop-ass every way until Sunday, they show that they can have the courage to make each others’ lives a difference. Butch can clearly see that Blossom does not always have to be Little Miss Perfect 24 hours 7 days a week and would be the one to tell her that she is great the way she is and she does not have to hide behind an air of pomp, fancy masks or bloating her to do it otherwise. Meanwhile, Blossom can acknowledge that Butch is physically very strong and has a toughness to match but she can also help him control his insurmountable power by channeling it into something more productive and more healthy. Therefore, these two would have something very meaningful to look forward to.

Butch is never the type of person to wear his emotions on his sleeves and always seems to hide all of that with a rough, impenetrable shell that displays super strength, amazing combat prowess, and fierce stamina. However, Blossom would be brave enough to see that this beast of a person has something a lot more to him than meets the eye. It could be that he was always in Brick’s shadow and did not always have the final say when he was young and it would take encouragement from Blossom to show Brick that he is not another one of his cronies but, first and foremost, his brother because he looks up to him so much and, most importantly, a human being like everyone else. This, in turn, would make Butch more independent as a person without having to constantly rely on Brick and he would have Blossom’s encouragement to be grateful for, which can also come into great effect in controlling his powers. Through the power of meditation and control, he would be able to use his insurmountable strength in a way that can help his teammates, himself, and the woman who has given him the strength to live on.

Blossom may have a veneer of perfection, savviness, elegance, precision, and cognizance but she also very diplomatic. To her, Butch is nowhere near as threatening as the monsters and criminals she would face on a daily basis and she is not a damsel in distress. Henceforth, her courage and her diplomacy are the keys to make Butch see that maybe he is not all that bad and maybe he just needs a better outlet to take his anger on so that he will not end up hurting anyone in the long run. Her savviness is what would also give her the motivation to not let prejudice get the best of her and understand what is truly eating at Butch. She may not always have the solutions but she could give him the tools he needs in order to grow as a person.

At the end of the day, Butch could see through Blossom a girl who is trying her very best to make everything great, perfect, and amazing. On the other hand, Blossom could see that Butch may be a strong guy but he has so much to learn about control. Nevertheless, they understand where the problem lies and will do everything they can in order to thrive, learn from each other, and accept each other for who they are and be unafraid to be the best versions of themselves.

Boomubbles is All About Peace, Harmony, Joy, Creativity, and Acceptance

I am fully aware of how jaded, drained, and up to my knees with the color-coded pairings but can we all agree that the Blues or Boomubbles are not only the healthiest couple but also the color-coded pairing one would keep going to every single time? I know I have, and I am never going to regret being a hardcore Blues shipper. In spite of the obvious fluff and sweetness that would be sufficient sources of my oncoming diabetes, I can still go out of my way and decree that there is a lot of good to be found with Boomer and Bubbles as a couple.

Popular headcanon would tell any Powerpuff Girls shipper that the Blues are the nicest ones and the pacifists of their siblings. Moreover, they are multilingual, artistic in their own ways, and bear heaps of imagination. This would even get to the point where Boomer and Bubbles can unite their siblings and acknowledge that they have the power to change the world around them and turn it into something more wonderful, more brilliant, and greater than they can ever hope for. With their powers combined, they and their respective siblings can be able to save the world from destruction, animosity, and cruelty, thus making it a better place for not only Townsville to live in but also the world. After all, these two would solidify would the mantra of great power that comes with great responsibility, which should be no surprise since Boomer’s lovable dumb muscle personality and complete athleticism would merge very well with Bubbles’ kind, loving personality, and agility.

Boomer’s super strength, super speed, impeccable combat prowess, sense of sympathy, and kindness are what make him handsome and, in Bubbles’ words, cute in her eyes. While external attractiveness and skill can make Boomer an ideal life partner for Bubbles, it is his loyalty, lovability, and classic chivalry that makes him all the more competent considering how he would go out of his way to use his impeccable strength and speed to protect Bubbles from all harm. He would even go out of his way to love the Dickens out of Bubbles’ Bubblevicious side because of how much that side can make him acknowledge just how fierce Bubbles can be. Therefore, he can always spot a thing of beauty from that particular side.

Bubbles’ impeccable agility, style, friendliness, lovability, and generosity are what make her external beauty for more luminescent and oscillating in Boomer’s eyes. Her ability to forgive and forget would make Boomer see just how amazing a girl like Bubbles can be as a person. Just because Boomer would go out of his way to save her 24/7 does not mean that Bubbles is a doormat. As a matter of fact, her willingness to show her heart and kindness to Boomer are what make her strong and their relationship all the more worth rooting for. Therefore, she would show just how accepting and appreciative she can be not only as a pacifist but also as someone who would end up becoming Boomer’s greater half.

All my disdain for the overratedness of the color-coded couples aside, Boomubbles continues to hold up magnificently well because of how peace and harmony are pervasive between the Blues. Ergo, the Blues are a marvelous example of how positivity in a relationship is not the exception but the rule.
