Happy New Year, everybody, Antoni here. 2024 has closed its doors and welcomed 2025. 2024 was a year of important yet hectic changes. I finished my Master’s Thesis at the tail end of August after so much research and many emotional, mental, and psychological roller-coaster rides. I ended up graduating with my Master’s in American Studies program with honors/distinction, i.e., with a German final grade of 1,8 in stark contrast to the 2,0 I received from my Bachelor’s in English and Musicology. Hence, I have proven myself to be an all-around AB student during my tenure as a Master’s in American Studies student. One thing is for sure that my future will continue to open doors to abundant possibilities. I thank my family, friends, colleagues, role models, and all of my fellow online content creators, actors, voice actors, singers, artists, writers, and music and media aficionados for constantly inspiring me to grow, thrive, and be better than what I used to be. With all of this preamble handled, let us tackle the topic at hand. My drawing tenure during 2024 has seen me continue to get my creative juices in gear, especially where my most beloved one true pairing of all time, Inuyasha x Ayame or InuAya, is concerned. I have also been happy to branch out to drawing my other dear one true pairing, Raymond x Alex or Raylex, and my most beloved throuple, Hakkaku x Shunran x Ginta. I was still quite fascinated with the idea of Basuli and Tarzan loving Hercules body and soul, although that has shifted gears, given my fanfics for @Orange-Ratchet’s Comfort Pairing Week last November. Nevertheless, I continue to enjoy drawing George of the Jungle, Basuli, Tarzan, and Maugli in their virile, feral, and muscular glory as a quartet of jungle muscle warrior brothers for life. Quality-wise, I did not get bored with the ideas swimming around in my brain to get these pieces of work released. Yes, I also dealt with other challenges such as finishing my Master’s Thesis, graduating from the Master’s in American Studies program with a strong Cum Laude, and continuing to grow my YouTube channel. Nevertheless, I still made it my artistic duty to squeeze in time to draw fan art for all of you wonderful people. Now, let us commence this road down to memory lane. January: Having a Powerfully Pumped-Up Time I commenced 2024 in my usual fashion of putting Inuyasha and Ayame on display as the mighty power couple that they were. I was still in that phase of making Inuyasha solely don a protective cup made out of demon lion’s mane, while Ayame was in her red attire made out of Fire Rat fur. Sure, some might have found issue with it, given Inuyasha’s attire. Nevertheless, I defended that it capitalized on Inuyasha’s wild virility as a wrestler and bodybuilder specializing in Ancient Greek Wrestling and Ancient Pankration. As for Ayame, her attire was defined by her fighting spirit and limbering nimbleness as a combatant. Talk about starting things off with wild triumph and boundless excitement. February: The Paradigm of Victorious Triumph I enjoyed giving Inuyasha Greek Wrestling attire akin to Zangief from Street Fighter and Ayame Muay Thai attire akin to a female version of Joe Higashi from King of Fighters. It was justifiable because I gave them the title of “the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of the martial arts tournaments.” I also insisted that Inuyasha possessed Zangief’s musclebound strength and Guile’s leonine fortitude, while Ayame possessed Joe Higashi’s fearless charisma and Benimaru Nikaido’s undeniable fabulousness. For that, this canine Yokai power couple were thoroughly sorted as the king and queen of international martial arts tournaments as well as their native Northern Yoro Tribe. March: All Hail The Musclebound Champion King Inuyasha dressed akin to Zangief struck again, with Ayame admiring his muscular majesty. April: Prepared for Pumped-Up Pulverizing I thank my instinct and lucky stars that I had all of my university courses done and dusted. It gave me ample time to not only write my Master’s Thesis but also use the month of April to go full-swing with InuAya Month. In true InuAya Month fashion, I went all out drawing fan art after fan art of my most prized power couple of all time. I did not care that I was one of two people who partook in this. I still enjoyed the possibilities of exhibiting Inuyasha and Ayame in their muscular, powerful, and mighty glory. Happy Sixth DeviantArt Anniversary to me, ladies and gentlemen. I know I was supposed to post this yesterday. However, as you can tell, InuAya month continued to be in full swing. This is also evident in the fanart collage I have created when I started InuAya month two years ago and continued to observe April as the month dedicated to one of my most beloved OTPs ever. Therefore, I invite you to sit back, relax, take a stroll down memory lane with me, and celebrate the six years I have been here at DeviantArt. There is no doubt that my time on DeviantArt has been filled with ups, downs, fans, trolls, friends, enemies, and a whole bunch of netizens present here and outside DeviantArt for better and for worse. However, one attribute remains evergreen which is my passion and devotion to Inuyasha x Ayame as my cherished one true pairing not only in the Inuyasha franchise as well as all of anime but also in all of fandom. I have been a devoted partisan to this pairing since I was a teenager because I believed that there was potential for Inuyasha and Ayame to be a mighty power couple strong enough to defeat a horde of opponents in martial arts tournaments and protect their family and fellow tribespeople from invaders. Even in my teens, I was never satisfied with the canon pairings Inuyasha and Ayame received. I have already made my reasons clear as to why their respective canon pairings never worked in my eyes, even if the canon devotees do not want to listen or think I am bashing the canon pairings. Nevertheless, I chose to exercise my right to uphold Inuyasha and Ayame as one of my favorite power couples ever. Throughout my time drawing Inuyasha x Ayame fanart and delving into discourses in terms of the potential they have as a power couple, I have been toying with ideas in store for them. One of the ideas I had in store was my Mighty Morphin Inurangers AU headcanon. No doubt did I enjoy casting Inuyasha as the Red Tyrannosaurus Inuranger version of Tommy Oliver and Jason Lee Scott and Ayame as the Yellow Saber-Toothed Tiger Inuranger version of Trini Kwan and Aisha Campbell. While I always insist that Inuyasha embodies Tommy’s long-lasting legacy as the face of the Power Rangers and Jason’s original status as the Red Ranger leader and Ayame encapsulates Trini’s courageous compassion, Aisha’s warm fierceness, and even Tanya Sloan’s unstoppable graciousness, Inuyasha’s and Ayame’s power couple dynamics are reminiscent of the following Red Ranger and Yellow Ranger couples, especially in the Saban era. Inuyasha and Ayame possess Eric’s and Taylor’s military fierceness, Leo’s and Maya’s warrior strength, and Andros’s and Ashley’s warmly unconditional love with fortitude and glory as an Inuranger couple. My InuAya fanart collage illustrates that there is one other AU headcanon that propelled my admiration and fascination for Inuyasha and Ayame as a power couple. The idea was born from my admiration of fighting games and real-life martial arts tournaments like Street Fighter, Tekken, King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat, Pride FC, UFC, WWE, TNA, and K1. Inuyasha and Ayame are the power couple who combine magnificent muscles, stupendous super strength, and formidable fierceness to dominate the competition. Inuyasha’s main martial art is Ancient Greek Wrestling with a background in Pankration, Ssireum, and Combat Sambo akin to Zangief and Guile, while Ayame’s main martial art is Muay Thai with a background in Kyuk Too Ki, Pradal Serey, and Muay Lao akin to Joe Higashi and Benimaru Nikaido. Given their respective fighting styles, Inuyasha and Ayame would end up winning the gold in every martial arts tournament they are in. What has always sold me about Inuyasha and Ayame as a power couple is the combination of mighty combat prowess and unconditional empowerment. Nevertheless, I want to use my Fifth-Year DeviantArt Anniversary Art Summary as an honorary InuAya month submission, especially since I will turn 31 years old next week, thus having me collect thirty-one art pieces that resonate with me and bearing a common theme which is my Splendid Seven AU headcanon with special focus on Inuyasha x Ayame as my OTP for life. Although I specialize in my Splendid Seven AU Headcanon consisting of not only Inuyasha and Ayame but also Sesshoumaru, Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, and Shunran whether in terms of them as the Mighty Morphin Inurangers or participants in the world’s most prominent martial arts tournaments, the cornerstone of my AU headcanon has always been the strong romantic relationship between Inuyasha and Ayame who are the definition of an unbreakable power couple. Sesshoumaru’s and Shuran’s formidability as a platonic duo of comrades may be astounding, considering Sesshoumaru’s lethalness as a Mixed Martial Artist and Shuran’s raw power as a Professional Wrestler. Sesshoumaru’s and Inuyasha’s brotherhood may be legendary, with Sesshoumaru the Mixed Martial Artist being the Ryu to Inuyasha the Pankratiast’s Ken as a duo of powerful dog Yokai brothers. Shuran’s, Hakkaku’s, and Ginta’s brotherhood may be grand, especially since Shuran’s bravado in Professional Wrestling serves as a compliment to Hakkaku’s durability in Muay Boran and Ginta’s perseverance in Lethwei. Inuyasha’s, Hakkaku’s, and Ginta’s unbreakable friendship as a trio of best buddies for life may be phenomenal, thus bringing Inuyasha’s strength in Pankration, Hakkaku’s stealth in Muay Boran, and Ginta’s stamina in Lethwei. Whether I have enjoyed drawing my three favourite Filipino musclemen Fernando from Doodle of Doom plus Init-Init and Bernardo Carpio from the PSICOM comics, my four favourite jungle king brothers in animation George of the Jungle, Basuli, Tarzan, and Maugli who have found themselves in romantic relationships with one Greek demigod Hercules and two Powhatan warriors Namontack and Kocoum, my seven most beloved jungle brothers in comics and animation Conan of Cimmeria, Ka-Zar of the Savage Lands, Zula of the Wasai, Tarzan of the Dell Comics, Kavandavanda, Malb’yat, and Aroc, and, most of all, the Splendid Seven consisting of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, and Shunran with Inuyasha x Ayame and Ginta x Shunran being my two most beloved Inuyasha OTPs of all time, I always enjoyed drawing them. I even hope that they continue to receive a lot more love because it is a lot of fun seeing these jungle warriors do their thing. George of the Jungle, Basuli, Tarzan, and Maugli are the closest of brothers, given how they were raised very well by the dear old dad Chief Keewazi, and consider themselves the most huggable of jungle muscle brothers. They are also fortunate to be surrounded by best friends like Fernando, Init-Init, and Bernardo Carpio, for they consider them to be brothers from other mothers. Sure, they enjoy their bodybuilding pose-downs, wrestling matches, and admiring each others’ muscles, but they get serious by building a formidable muscle wall and flexing their tremendous biceps to show to their enemies that they mean business. Their feral sides would then show when they attack their enemies with their bare hands, furious fists, and magnificent muscles. After every battle, they keep themselves warm by huddling to each other in the nude as they fall asleep. In order to keep themselves fit, Fernando, Init-Init, Bernardo, George, Basuli, Tarzan, and Maugli would partake in weightlifting, bodybuilding pose-downs, wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, swimming, diving, and even hunting and gathering with their bare hands, claws, and fangs. This is especially true since Basuli and Tarzan tend to be the most feral of the brothers. George’s, Basuli’s, Tarzan’s, and Maugli’s love lives are just as dynamic and beautiful. Basuli and Tarzan have been both happily married to Namontack and Kocoum ever since they were teenagers and have families of their own complete with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To this day, Namontack x Basuli and Kocoum x Tarzan are still the jungle’s most beautiful couples ever. George of the Jungle and Maugli are just as fortunate to be in love with Namontack and Kocoum because of how protective and huggable they are to the point where both Basuli and Tarzan do not mind if George makes love with Namontack and Maugli makes love with Kocoum. This is because both Basuli and Tarzan also have a handsome lover in Hercules. Although, Hercules has been the best of friends with George, Basuli, Tarzan, and Maugli since they were children, Hercules has always fancied Basuli and Tarzan a lot more because they are just as strong, brave, and physically formidable as he is, and he always considered the bond he has with both Basuli and Tarzan to be special. In fact, Hercules has inherited his father Zeus’s signature charm in that he has become the apple of Namontack’s, Kocoum’s, George’s, Basuli’s, Tarzan’s, and Maugli’s eyes. Zeus, Powhatan, and Keewazi even remark how greatly their sons have been getting together with each other. Combining Namontack’s and Basuli’s as well as Kocoum’s and Tarzan’s happy marriage, George and Maugli finding themselves in equally loving relationships with Namontack and Basuli, and Basuli and Tarzan loving Hercules to bits, there is no stopping these jungle warriors from letting their family grow and grow under the mantle of love, joy, and prosperity. Whether it is touching each others’ muscles or making sweet love to each other, with the patterns being Namontack x Basuli, Kocoum x Tarzan, Namontack x George, Kocoum x Maugli, Basuli x Hercules x Tarzan, Namontack x Hercules x Kocoum or George x Hercules x Maugli, there will always be room for that sexy, virile, handsome love. Even their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren love the fact that their fathers and uncles have been remaining in wonderfully harmonious and loving relationships. Strong brotherly love is just as phenomenal when Conan, Ka-Zar, Zula, Tarzan, Kavandavanda, Malb’yat, and Aroc step to the podium. Conan’s fierceness, Ka-Zar’s endurance, Zula’s loyalty, Tarzan’s formidability, Kavandavanda’s charm, Malb’yat’s toughness, and Aroc’s lovability have brought them together as brothers even to the point where they have become united as a virile family. They have even made names for themselves by making their own jungle gym focusing on weightlifting, muscle-building, bodybuilding, wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, swimming, and diving. With that strong brotherly love comes that sense of competition that unites seven of them as the strongest, handsomest, and most virile of brothers. They always love having wrestling, bodybuilding, and weightlifting matches with each other because they keep each other alive. They even pass it on to their progeny, specifically onto Dan-El, Natongo, Korak, Bomba, Jason, Dick, and Dom, for they have become just as super strong as their fathers and uncles. They would even invite John Carter, Kaanga, Ki-Gor, Zembla, Jo-Jo, Akim, and Tor for wrestling and bodybuilding matches. Above is my most favorite category of RRB x PPG pairings known to the shipping world as the mixed color couples or the color-clash couples consisting of Boomer x Blossom aka Blossoomer, Brick x Buttercup aka Brickercup, and Butch x Bubbles aka Butchubbles. The flexibility, interest, versatility, positivity, and brilliance found in these couples are enough for me to proudly call them my most beloved set of OTPs. What makes me love the color-clash couples is the number of positive vibes I can see through them. With Blossoomer I can see a relationship that is based on unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, wholehearted attentiveness, heaps of compassion, and a sense of boundless positive encouragement between Boomer and Blossom. Boomer could use his lovable dumb muscle personality and kindness to reduce Blossom’s ego and obsession with trying to keep everything perfect and Blossom could use her diplomacy and cognizance to increase Boomer’s self-esteem and boost his inner strength. Ergo, I would go out of my way and say that Blossoomer is not only the greatest color-clash couple ever but also the greatest RRB x PPG couple of all time trumping even the likes of Brickercup, Butchubbles, Blossutch, and Boomubbles combined. Brickercup is a relationship that is based on perseverance, resilience, fortitude, determination, and gutsiness. Brick and Buttercup are a picture-perfect example of showing how difficult it can be being in a relationship because it is not always going to end with happily ever after. However, knowing how much Brick’s large-and-in-charge and overall big personality can mesh well with Buttercup’s rambunctiousness is enough for me to keep rooting for them to cut through every single obstacle and find spicy intimacy and joy with each other. Butchubbles is the couple that surprised me the most because their relationship is based on versatility, lovability, understanding, and oodles of positive vibes. Just because Butch and Bubbles are a clear-cut example of having the big, strong, tough bad boy pair up with the lovely, sweet ingenue with an edge as seen in anime such as “Midori Days” and “Paradise Kiss” does not mean that I cannot find anything fresh and interesting in Butchubbles. Butch would definitely be turned on with Bubbles physical flexibility and her “Bubblevicious” side as well as find comfort in Bubbles’ brand of kindness and lovability. Meanwhile, Bubbles would be immensely attracted to Butch’s super strength, how ruggedly handsome he is, and how he is so willing to go out of his way to protect her from all harm while also being the chivalrous pervert on some occasions. It also helps matters that I can easily consider magnificent and brilliant artists such as xahCHUx, BrickercupMasterX3, KatyGorl, xmysticaldreamsx, and Scarlettbreaking not only as really great friends but also sisters from other mothers when shipping the color-clash couples, especially where my most esteemed and most beloved Blossoomer is concerned. Below is my personal set of RRB x PPG OTPs which I would gladly call the best pairing from each couple category i.e. the best pairing from the color-clash couples is Brickercup even though Blossoomer has knocked down its title, Blossutch is the best color-crack couple, and Boomubbles is the best color-coded couple. It should be no surprise that I have been very consistent when it comes shipping Brick and Buttercup as an awesome couple because I can see neither Brick with any other girl nor Buttercup with any other boy. That is just how much I not only admire the ground Brickercup walks on but I am also very proud to keep them as a wonderfully monogamous couple in my Team Xtreme headcanon. I can easily brand Blossutch as the most gorgeous, most sexy, and most flexible of my set of OTPs because of how marvelously Butch’s tremendously prodigious and muscular strength can complement Blossom’s extensive vernacular and lethal accuracy. On top of that, Blossom is not a damsel in distress by any stretch of the imagination because she can prove herself to be brave, diplomatic, and strong enough not only to tame Butch from his wild urges but also love him for how strong, tough, and loyal he is. Butch would not be afraid to show his softer to Blossom and he would even help her not be so caught up…
Ladies, gentlemen, and Rowdyruff Boys and Powerpuff Girls fans of all ages. I present to you one of the members of the Team Xtreme Next-Gen’s rogues’ gallery. I am, of course, talking about one of HIM’s incarnations, the foul-mouthed, cruel, mean-spirited, condescending, ruthless, psychotic, and sociopathic Caruella Brana DeVile. She is a demoness who attacks her opponents with her massively towering size, her spiked tail, her durable and sharp tusks, horns, claws, and fangs, and, most of all, her ability to hurl out the most hateful, cruel, and nastiest insults with her poisonous, acid-dripping viper’s tongue, thus attempting to weaken all of her opponents with this most powerful weapon, especially her most hated foes the new generation of Team Xtreme heroes and heroines. It has been a long time in the making since I wanted to design some monsters for all of the Blossoomer, Brickercup, Butchubbles, Blossutch, and Boomubbles children to fight against because having to have the children fight against the old rogues’ gallery i.e. HIM, Mojo Jojo, Major Man, Sedusa, Femme Fatale and many others would be really repetitive. Moreover, thanks to Matt aka KingShisa08 whose Godzilla Reborn fan art series and amazing creature designs have given me so much inspiration throughout the years, I thought it would be fun to design one of the many monsters that the next generation of Ruffs and Puffs will fight against. As one can tell, HIM is essentially akin to Naraku in my Team Xtreme headcanon and he does not need any life partner to “bear his children”. HIM does this by creating minions from his own essence, specifically through forming his offspring from his clumps of flesh, and the evil aura that surrounds him. From there, he creates Caruella the condescending demoness with a foul mouth and a bad attitude, Obnoxia the spoiled brat of a demoness who loves to manipulate those around her and who craves for lechon 24/7, Ignorania the ignorant demoness who shows little to no regard of her own actions and always defends her siblings in the most haughty way, and Saculus the lazy demon who does not like to sully his own hands while being full of slander. The idea of making this particular spawn of HIM was inspired by my former High School bully who made my life a living Hell from second year to fourth year High School. The instances where she called me a “fail at life” and “fail”, acted like such an instigator, acted abusively and in a mean-spirited manner towards me while she was being so nice to almost everyone else, acted really condescendingly when I showed concern, cheered on some of my former batch-mates to yell and get angry at me by saying “Idol (insert person’s name)”, recounted that one incident in our Filipino spoken choir practice where she accused me of calling one of my colleagues an “asshole” when I was actually so pressured and feeling frantic because I did not want to pay another late fee, which also did not help considering that I did not have any cash to do so and broke down, laughed at the time I slipped and fell when I was rushing to get to my classmates’ class photo day, and sneered at me during retreat in my final year of High School, thus refusing my friendship even when I tried being really kind and nice to her, that all happened to me. Ergo, she was a really cruel, cantankerous, two-faced, bad-tempered bitch who took pleasure in making my life as miserable as possible. So, I thought it would be therapeutic if I took all of those bad memories I had with She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and do something creative by coming up with a concept for a monster who could be a recurring villain in the Team Xtreme universe. What better character to “give birth” to this hell-spawn than the flamboyant master of darkness HIM who has been messing with Team Xtreme since 1998. Sure, the thought of She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named still disgusts me to this day even if I am far away from her and have no plans of being friends with her anymore, thus blocking her out of my life. In spite of that, at least still really fun making this wonderfully ruthless creature out of all the hellish experiences I had with her. In conclusion, I have one final message for She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Even though you made my life from Level 10 to Level 12 a living Hell by being such an aggressively incurable and ruthless bitch, even if I can never forgive you for calling me a “fail” or a “fail at life” and even giving me that deadly stink-eye during retreat, even if I can never forgive you for recounting that painful memory in one Sabayang Pagbigkas practice where you accused me of calling one of my colleagues an asshole when in actuality I was in so much stress and anxiety from the fear of paying a late fee, I just want to thank you for providing me with a lot of inspiration. I do not have to bow down to your nastiness and I can find solace in turning all of those shitty moments into things that are worth creating, thus channeling all of the necessary creative energy I have to create monsters and villains that act just as two-faced, rude, ruthless, cruel, and abusive as you were. You are most welcome, you delightfully awful, ruthless witch bitch. You may be out of my life, which is for the best, but I can surely churn out all of the mean things you did and let them be reincarnated into some of my OCs. Knowing how well they fight both individually and as a group, they would definitely be able to give their opponents no mercy whatsoever.
