The Legion of Power Couples

This septet meme originally belongs to Alpha-Duelist35 and is dedicated to all of the wonderful shippers of Superman x Wonder Woman, Ryu x Chun-Li, Ken x Cammy, Roy x Riza, Eric x Taylor, Inuyasha x Ayame, and Raymond x Alex as well as those entertained by the thought of these seven power couples forming their own epic team. Sit back, relax, and revel in how marvelously these seven power couples can work exceedingly well together, not just look great together. What do you get when you make one superhero couple of epically mythical proportions, one focused brown-haired martial arts couple of Asian descent, one dynamic blond-haired martial arts couple of Western heritage, one state military couple brimming with excitingly belligerent sexual tension, one law enforcer couple capable of transforming into heroes in multicolored suits, one canine yokai warrior couple prepared to beat formidable opponents to a bloody pulp, and one glamorously gorgeous couple from Beverly Hills join forces? You get an exceptional legion of power couples who not only look amazing together but also prove themselves to be physically capable of protecting innocent civilians against oppressors and taking down ruthless opponents with every fiber of their being. All seven power couples embody peerless physical prowess, high levels of romantic intimacy, and great fighting spirit to make them the strong team that they are. Each of them also possesses individual fighting styles that define them as couples and as fighters using their strength to inspire people’s motivation and growth. Superman x Wonder Woman: Legendarily Dutiful Sovereigns To proclaim that Superman and Wonder Woman are the emperor and empress of power couples is a mere understatement. They can give the likes of Zeus and Hera, Odin and Frigg, and many other mighty ruler couples a huge run for their money. There is no doubt that Superman and Wonder Woman possess mythically abundant amounts of super strength, rapid reflexes, and godly amounts of endurance, especially when Superman’s muscles of steel work flawlessly with Wonder Woman’s fierce athletic prowess. However, their collective fortitude, might, power, and Herculean prowess are used to protect innocent civilians from harm and demolish any evil oppressor who dares to abuse their power. Given that both Superman and Wonder Woman or Kal-El aka Clark and Diana have mythical combat prowess firmly rooted in old-school Western civilization, their fighting style is a fascinating mixture of Pankration, Ancient Greek Wrestling, and Ancient Greek Boxing. They can throw any punch, arm bar, shoulder lock, leg lock, choke, throw, and takedown to their hearts’ desire and triumph over their enemies in style. Ryu x Chun-Li: Honorably Conducted Warriors Living by the codes of the ancient dragons are Ryu Hoshi from Japan and Chun-Li from China. Ryu and Chun-Li can put both Japan’s and China’s emperors, empresses, and prime ministers to shame because of how deeply and thoroughly they stick to their unadulterated sense of honor as martial artists and beacons of enlightenment. Ryu’s unquestionable sense of duty to his craft as a martial artist serves as a welcome canvas for Chun-Li to implement her expertise as a law-abiding police officer by prioritizing on protection of families, duty to civilians, and justice for all. Therefore, both Ryu and Chun-Li implement their combat prowess and duty as martial artists to put people’s safety as a number one priority. Ryu’s and Chun-Li’s Ansatsuken have their respective roots in established martial arts. Ryu has the primarily hard styles of Shotokan Karate, Kyokushin Karate, Judo, and Kenpo, while Chun-Li has both the hard and soft styles found in Shaolin Kung Fu, Sanda, Tai Chi, and Wushu. Together, Ryu and Chun-Li propel their hard and soft attacks to bring balance and evenness to their techniques. Ken x Cammy: Relentlessly Fierce Challengers Rocking a Transatlantic sense of spicy intimacy and unconditional romance all while kicking loads of butt and taking names are Ken Masters from the United States of America and Cammy White from England in the United Kingdom. The golden sunshine of the hair may radiate brilliantly like the shining sun. Their azure blue eyes may denote calmness before the storm. However, their external beauty is only complemented by their all-encompassing fighting prowess, combining Ken’s fierily rampaging takedowns, grapples, and blows and Cammy’s acrobatically mobile strikes, punches, and kicks. Neither Ken nor Cammy stops at nothing to grow as combatants. More importantly, both Ken and Cammy challenge each other to improve in character and demonstrate resilience in the face of adversity. This necessity for a challenge is also reflected in their Ansatsuken. Ken’s chiefly hard style of Shotokan Karate, Kyokushin Karate, Judo, and Kenpo is well-combined with Cammy’s brutally effective style of British All-In Fighting, Kickboxing, Hapkido, and Jujutsu to make their opponents surrender in terror. Roy x Riza: Militaristically Calculating Lieutenants When fire and steel merge and meld, it can only mean one thing. Colonel Roy Mustang and Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye are on the job to ensure that safety, justice, order, progress, tradition, duty, and good direction remain top of mind in their careers as militants. Criminals, looters, marauders, and pillagers shall be robbed of sleep and peace once Roy and Riza arrive to arrest and eradicate them, especially for crimes far too inhumane to comprehend. Roy’s and Riza’s high status as a militaristic power couple does not just stop them from doing their duties the best way they can. It also illustrates how Roy’s dichotomy of impassioned charisma and cool charm can beautifully blend with Riza’s collected intellect and analytical intuitiveness. They also challenge each other as leaders because they know that there is a lot of promise and growth that they can give to each other and themselves. Roy’s and Riza’s military expertise also means that they combine Krav Maga, Marine Corps Martial Arts, Defendu, Combat Sambo, and Jieitaikakutojutsu to overpower invaders and ensure a powerful fleet of honorable defenders. Eric x Taylor: Commandingly Robust Captains The bloody red fangs of the Quantasaurus Rex Zord and the shining yellow wings of the Wild Force Eagle Zord clash…

Seven Strong Power Couples

This screenshot motivational poster is in high favor of Superman x Wonder Woman from Justice League, Ryu Hoshi x Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Ken Masters x Cammy White from Street Fighter, Roy Mustang x Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist, Eric Myers x Taylor Earhardt from Power Rangers, Inuyasha x Ayame from Inuyasha, and Raymond x Alex from Totally Spies. This is also dedicated to everybody who desires these seven couples as their OTPs for life as much as I do. Sit back, relax, and revel in SuperWonder’s authoritative might, RyuLi’s focused determination, Kenammy’s fiery willpower, RoyAi’s unrelenting loyalty, Quantum Eagle’s resilient toughness, InuAya’s magnificent strength, and Raylex’s gorgeous synergy. Nothing excites me more than embracing my seven favorite fictional couples I consider to be battle-power couples. Their formidability, fortitude, fierceness, strength, combat prowess, might, and potency have always made me enthralled from my head to my heart to my soul. It should be no surprise that I have been shipping these couples ever since I was in my tween years while discovering several attributes that made each power couple superb in my eyes in latent, overt, and/or surprising ways. From the childhood delight of pairing Superman and Wonder Woman as a couple to my further appreciation for Raymond and Alex as a gorgeously lovely couple, there was nothing that could separate me from these seven power couples that I cherish the most. Even when some people discourage me by proclaiming that some of these power couples are not canon and will never happen, I do not bother with them and make them stew in their self-loathing, fun-sucking ways because I take pride in going against the grain. Now, it is time for me to sing my praises and high esteem for these seven mighty power couples. Superman and Wonder Woman aka Clark Kent and Diana Prince aka Kal-El of Krypton and Diana of Themyscira are the power couple to end all power couples. This is not just attributed that they are DC Comics’ beacons for mythically grand heroism. This also extends to them not just looking phenomenal either. Both Superman and Wonder Woman represent authority, duty, and reverence that need to be earned by protecting civilians from oppression and cruelty as well as being pillared anchors of super strength for the Justice League. While some people in the DC fandom may find SuperWonder to be a rather bland couple, given how incredibly invincible both superheroes are and how similar they are to a fault, I have always cherished Superman and Wonder Woman for their mythical authority and sheer might in saving the world from destruction. I even envision Superman x Wonder Woman giving Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde a run for their money because their indestructibility and regal power make them worthier of aspiration and adulation. Therefore, Superman and Wonder Woman are deserving of reverence. Ryu Hoshi and Chun-Li are what occurs when the unbreakable focus in the martial arts and sheer determination to grow as combatants and as people entwine. Ryu’s and Chun-Li’s focus and determination as martial artists and as individuals are the hallmarks of what make them infallible, especially when they are together inside and outside combat situations. Neither of them will rest until they not only fully commit to their lives as warriors but also do their part in ensuring that justice and peace prevail for the people they care about. Should criminals, looters, and marauders pillage Ryu’s and Chun-Li’s happily blessed home, they would unleash every punch, kick, takedown, grapple, and power-up from their arsenal to make them pay for what they have done in droves. From the very first moments that I stumbled upon the Street Fighter franchise as a child growing up in the 1990s, Ryu x Chun-Li was the first couple I ever shipped. Back then as a child, I could not fathom why. However, now as an adult, what I can see in Ryu and Chun-Li is respect, allegiance, loyalty, and support for each other as a superb martial arts couple. Ken Masters and Cammy White are striking up the band when it comes to challenging each other to grow in fortitude and perseverance while also possessing tenderly intimate moments as a power couple. The golden sunshine of their blond hair and sparkling blue eyes may reflect Ken’s and Cammy’s conventionally Western aesthetics in contrast to Ryu’s and Chun-Li’s brunette hair and predominantly Asian features. All looks aside, Ken and Cammy demonstrate exuberance, fearlessness, and fieriness in embracing every challenge they encounter together. Moreover, Ken’s muscularly hot-blooded virility excitingly compliments Cammy’s icily steely determination to the point where they can hold their own both individually and as a couple. Their traits also work in their favor when pummeling criminals and terrorists, considering how Ken’s brutal strikes and takedowns work beautifully with Cammy’s quickly-paced strikes. I have also been a hardcore shipper of Ken x Cammy ever since I was a child, and I continue to cherish them as a couple because they can challenge each other to improve as people. Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye command full respect, allegiance, loyalty, nobility, and courage in the face of all adversity and strife with electrifying flair. Once again, Roy’s hot-bloodedly virile fire compliments Riza’s icily cool quicksilver bullets in a frenzy that involves lethal edge and taking no prisoners. Felons and legitimate war criminals would easily tremble at the severe and quick punishments that Roy and Riza can deliver with effortless fatality. Superiors and followers alike discover multiple upon multiple facets that make Roy and Riza worthy of emulation and adoration, thanks to their commanding formidability, pristine decorum, and valorous courage amidst pain, adversity, strife, and trouble. When everything is silent and all the chaos is mildened, Roy and Riza would engage in spicy yet subtle sexual tension in their well-furnished chambers. During my late-tween to early teen years of watching Fullmetal Alchemist, I have always been a partisan of Roy x Riza aka RoyAi. The belligerent sexual tension, the trust, and the allegiance…
