Best of My OTPs: Butch x Bubbles

This fan art collage is dedicated to all of my Butchubbles-shipping friends, fans, and brethren. Moreover, this is one of my Red Ribbon Reviewer Contributions. So, sit back, relax, and soak in that Butchubbles cuteness, sweetness, and comforting sensation.

This Butchubbles fan art collage covers the years I have been drawing them with, at times, their children but mostly with them as a couple ranging from August 19, 2018, which started out as an art trade I did with the fabulous KatyGorl, to September 24, 2019, which was one of my submissions for KatyGorl’s annual Claim a PPG Pairing Month. This RuffPuff pairing is the one that pleasantly surprised me because of how much heart, support, adorability, and balance there is between a strong, mighty, tough guy like Butch and a sweet, kind-hearted, loving ingenue with an edge like Bubbles. I used to think they would just work as a first crush or a just friends type of basis. Now, after realizing that Butch’s “relationship” with Buttercup would end up going up in smoke and chaos and Bubbles’ “relationship” with Boomer would have made me completely diabetic because of too much sweetness, I have finally learned to accept how wonderfully Butch and Bubbles can balance each other out as a lovely couple.

You are all looking at someone who has been growing up with a lot of bad boy and cute girl type of couples in such installments such as Seiji and Midori from “Midori Days”, Arashi and Miwako from “Paradise Kiss”, and Kevin and Gwen from the Ben 10 franchise. I do enjoy their relationships because it is not just entertaining and sweet but also really interesting to know how well they work off of each other. In Butch’s and Bubbles’ case, I could see this flourishing from an innocent crush on Bubbles’ side and several bouts of shyness from Butch’s side to a relationship based on unconditional love, synergy, and compassion. There is not one moment where things can go unbalanced when these two have each others’ backs twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. The icing on top of this beautifully-baked cake is that there is going to be no form of animosity when these two are together and they can keep moving forward with a nice smile on their faces.

Now that I have mentioned my very good friend KatyGorl in an aforementioned paragraph, I really have her to thank for letting my love for Butchubbles come to full-force fruition. I have seen my fair share of Butchubbles fan art, which made me interested in this lovely pairing. However, through the two art trades I did with Katy, I was able to appreciate Butchubbles on a much deeper level. The balance and synergy this couple have are completely off the charts, and I would love to endeavor myself to draw a whole lot more fan art not only with them but also their darling children. This even ended up getting to the point where I did the unthinkable. I decided to make the children originally intended for Boomer and Bubbles as a couple to officially end up becoming the other Butchubbles children. Therefore, Bailey, Barley, Bonnie, Brittany, Ben, Bronson, Brody, Birdie, Beckett, Bali, Belina, and Blondine have officially become Butch’s and Bubbles’ darling children for life and have ended up having a whacking total of twenty-four children.

With all that said, Butchubbles is the couple that is definition of having a quilting effect. Whenever one has a bad day, Butchubbles can surely alleviate the troubles that have happened and can easily remind anyone that one bad day should never get anyone down at all. It also has a very calming effect whenever insanity and chaos loom. Henceforth, I can never let this pairing go because it wins high marks being so comforting, soothing, and lovable in the most delightful way possible.

Moreover, I am going to do my part in ensuring that I keep spreading that Butchubbles love by drawing more fan art of them, and I do also wish there could be a lot more fan-related works revolving around this lovely couple.

I hope you all enjoyed this fan art collage and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and Happy New Year, everybody.
