Inuyasha and His Three Courageous, Gorgeous Belles

This “Who Would You Pair” meme is originally by ProjectOneAMG.

What do Inuyasha, Teen Titans, and Avatar: The Last Airbender have in common? These were my go-to animated series when I was a twelve to thirteen-year-old middle-schooler. I remember being so excited to tune in to the next episode of each of these shows and I constantly had a rush of ecstasy flowing through my brain all the way down to my veins when doing so. Even though Avatar: The Last Airbender held up far more superiorly than Teen Titans and Inuyasha combined in terms of story and world-building, the memories I had with these three shows were nothing short of fun and smile-inducing.

While I was, am, and will always be the biggest Inuyasha x Ayame shipper known to man during my tween and teen years all the way up to today as an adult, which is also the same case I have with Speedy x Starfire and Zuko x Katara, I also toyed with the idea of Inuyasha being paired with Starfire and Katara among other fine heroines of western animation because I figured their bravery, independence, courage, strength, kindness, and great of sense of justice can be a major plus in Inuyasha’s life as an individual. That is not to discredit Ayame’s courage, bravery, strength, impeccable combat prowess, and genuineness, but I figured that combining my Inuyasha OTP for life with two wonderful crossover pairings would make for a genuinely loving harem that does not involve double standards or interpersonal abuse. Ergo, the best attribute of having Inuyasha involved in an awesome harem relationship with Ayame, Starfire, and Katara is the fact that there are no God-forsaken sit commands via those God-forsaken Beads of Subjugation and none of these fine ladies would ever dare squeal out Inuyasha’s name to help them, as they can save themselves. However, if the threat is far stronger than them, they can always count on Inuyasha. Furthermore, Ayame, Starfire, and Katara would be the ladies who will and can preserve Inuyasha’s pride as a super strong dog yokai warrior.

On the surface, this is a harem which would center around a big, strong, brawny dog yokai warrior jock with an attitude paired with a fierce, courageous, determined wolf yokai warrior woman, a kind, sweet, nurturing Tamaran princess, and a wise, brave, protective waterbender/healer, thus demonstrating a really healthy and well-balanced dynamic.  However, this delves much deeper into that because of how much Inuyasha, Ayame, Starfire, and Katara can not only respect and understand each other, with him caring for them and them showing loads of appreciation to him, but also build relationships based on trust, positivity, and total genuineness. Therefore, there is no bad blood or emotional manipulation that will encroach the abode these four have produced together.

Sure, Inuyasha was 17 going on 18 back in 2000, Ayame was 15 also back in 2000, Starfire was 14 back in 2003, and Katara was 14 back in 2005, thus making Inuyasha two years and nine months older than Ayame, six years and two months older than Starfire, and eight years and three months older than Katara at least in human years. Nevertheless, they would still bear a relationship which no one would take advantage of each other and they will build each others’ character up in the most positive way.

Inuyasha and Ayame need no further introduction as a very strong power couple and I know I am going to sound like a broken record but I can never ever escape from this potent power couple’s clutches because of how they truly engender strength, determination, and fierceness with every single fiber of their being.

Inuyasha and Starfire are very dynamic when they work together and they would easily respect each other without resorting to yelling. Aside from the prowess they have in battle, such as Inuyasha using his claws, fists, fangs, and super strength and Starfire using her energy bolts and flight, their trust in each other would be of the highest order and they would be utterly honest with each other without any ulterior motives.

Inuyasha and Katara are healing, purity, compassion, kindness, and unconditional love wrapped up in one well-presented gift to give your loved ones no matter what the occasion may be. They not only have the strength, courage, and combat prowess to overcome their enemies and all adversities, but they also have the support that can make any married couple’s faces green with envy. It is through their compassion for each other that they can build stronger bridges together and can produce a future that will bring them a lot of happiness, prosperity, and abundance in terms of health, stability, and perseverance.

It is really difficult to choose who is more deserving of Inuyasha’s unconditional love, as all three of them are totally worth it. In terms of in-universe pairings, Inuyasha and Ayame have it made in the shade. In terms of crossover pairings, Inuyasha and Starfire as a couple is great, but Inuyasha and Katara as a couple manages to blow the competition out of the water. Therefore, this is an Inuyasha-centered harem I can live with until the end of time.

As for all of you reading this, who do you think Inuyasha should be with among these courageous ladies? Ayame? Starfire? Or Katara? Please do comment and let me know.

I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
