This screenshot motivational poster is highly Pro-Ayumi, Pro-Ayame, Pro-Karan, Pro-Shunran, and Pro-Ayumi x Ayame x Karan x Shunran in the BroT4 or in this case SisT4 sense. Furthermore, this is my contribution to this year’s Red Ribbon Reviewers’ month.
This marks the conclusion of my look into platonic pairings outside The Splendid Seven family circle, i.e. Ayame’s genuinely loving relationship with Inuyasha and Shunran’s sweet fraternal relationship with Shuran and Hakkaku as well as her indubitably romantic relationship with Ginta. What better way to bring these ladies all together than by having Ayame and Shunran have a warm, sisterly, tight-knit friendship with Ayumi and Karan, who in turn are both married to Kuranosuke Takeda. Sure, Ayumi may be human, Ayame may be a she-wolf warrior yokai, and both Karan and Shunran are panther yokai sisters, but their sisterhood has proven itself formidable and durable all the way through.
Ayumi is akin to the eldest sister who is ladylike, elegant, reserved, and idealistic. She is also quite intellectual, considering how book smart she is and enjoys fine literature. She may not be too much of a fighter, but she is surprisingly conscientious about pressure points and the weaknesses of her foes and knows how to use those to her advantage. Given how ladylike Ayumi is, she has been a source of emulation to Ayame, Karan, and Shunran.
Ayame is akin to the resilient, persistent, determined, independent second eldest sister who enjoys getting her hands dirty on several occasions and is not afraid to have a throw-down with all of her opponents. Her fists of fury, feet of lightning, and her elephant-like strength make her a role model to Karan and especially to Shunran. Ayumi is even fascinated by Ayame’s unparalleled skills as a combatant to the point where she admires her so much.
Karan is akin to the tomboyish, outspoken, tough-talking, rambunctious third sister who demonstrates boundless agility, speed, and stamina. She is not one to follow all of the conventions of being a prissy madam, as she cannot stand that and would rather take down opponents with her fire powers. Karan is extremely close to Ayumi, as she looks up to her as the prim, proper, pure, feminine older sister from another mister. As for Ayame and Shunran, she definitely cherishes the sisterhood they have been bearing since childhood.
Shunran is akin to the fun-loving, girlish, feisty, mischievous youngest sister who displays agility, speed, and craftiness in her moves and her mirages. She loves all the wonders that nature has to offer as well as a lot of pretty things like flowers, trees, and fragrant scents. Shunran considers Ayumi worthy of emulation because of how intelligent and proper she is. She loves Ayame with all of her heart, mind, and soul because she is inspired by her as a fighter. Finally, she can never go wrong with the support she has from Karan as her sister.
Together, these four ladies have a bond that will never be broken and will stay the greatest of friends.
