My Three Role Models for Life

This screenshot motivational poster is mega Pro-Sesshoumaru, Pro-Inuyasha, Pro-Ayame, and Pro-SessAyaInu. Sit back, relax, and sit in for a spell as to why I not only love Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame as characters but also looked up to them as role models ever since I was a teenager. Furthermore, this is my contribution for this year’s Red Ribbon Reviewers’ Month.

Awareness Ribbons - Red

This Inuvember submission reminds us all tha it says something when there are characters you not only love as your favorite ones but also look up to them as your role models because of everything they stand for. Well, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame are those characters I not only love but have been looking up to as my role models ever since I was a teenager. It was no surprise that these three young adult warriors were the ones I have been rooting for ever since I was between thirteen and fourteen years old.

I know not a lot of people will either agree with me let alone share the same resonance of looking up to Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame as their role models. However, coming from someone who has been enjoying Inuyasha despite its flaws for seventeen years now, I can say with gusto that these are the three warriors I have been rooting for when they graced the small screen.

Though their personalities bear loads of similarities and differences, there are attributes which have made me attach to them as my role models for life. Those are strength, determination, goal orientation, ambition, perseverance, passion, courage, and dedication. Compassion serves as their wild card because even though they may not seem like the most über compassionate fighters on the outside, there is one person who has brought it out of them and that is Rin, who is a catalyst to Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and Ayame’s lives as warriors, as parents, and as individuals not only to her but also the rest of their children including Dai, Roku, Kai, Shiori, and Shinta. All AU headcanon concepts aside, there is a lot of good to be found in Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame.

Sesshoumaru taught me that it is imperative to keep focused on the goals you strive for and to never settle for less. He has proven himself time and time again that he is not one to be shaken by his opponents and that is the very aspect I have been respecting most about Sesshoumaru with all of my heart, mind, soul, and body.

Inuyasha taught me to not allow any naysayers to get me down and use perseverance, a tough skin, and determination to prove them wrong and fight back well. Furthermore, all of these will empower the courage within me to surprise myself, to get back up after I stumble many times, never give up, and exude confidence in everything I do.

Ayame taught me that passion, dedication, and determination are the keys to believing in myself, remain focused, and never bow down to mediocrity. It is not a bad thing to love myself in what I do and it is certainly not a bad thing to keep on fighting for what I believe in despite all adversity.

All in all, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame are the type of people who I can look up to as my greatest sources of motivation, perseverance, passion, dedication, determination, and loads of perspiration. Their fighting spirits are akin to the wings I need to keep on flying high towards the sun and making sure that I do not surrender or give in to complacency. I have them to thank for bringing a good amount of meaning into my life as an online content creator and as a person because I would not be here right now if it were not for them. With that said, I salute Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame as the greatest role models I have ever seen in Inuyasha and I can see that they have instilled that strong character onto their children and their grandchildren.

I hope you all enjoyed this and I would love to hear from you if you also feel that Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame are not only your favorite characters but also your role models. Until then, I will see you in the next submission. Take care and have a blessed Thanksgiving month, everybody.

Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
