So, I hope you all had and have such phenomenal birthdays, and I wish you a lot of love, joy, happiness, prosperity, beauty, and abundance in your lives as artists and as people.
This is also dedicated to all of the wonderful Blossoomer, Brickercup, and Butchubbles shippers out there. So, sit back, relax, and soak in that Blossoomer beauty and purity, that Brickercup awesomeness and greatness, and that Butchubbles lovability and adorability.
We take ourselves back to April 18, 2008. The tenth anniversary when the Rowdyruff Boys and the Powerpuff Girls, known collectively as Team Xtreme, swore their love to each other when they were children. Ergo, when Boomer, Brick, and Butch were 7 going on 8 years old, they and their respective girlfriends 5 going on 6-year-olds Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles swore their undying love and loyalty to each other. To prove their loyalty, they went to a special spot after school, where their favorite mahogany tree was and inscribed their names on the tree, and even inscribed “True Romance” to show that they were meant for each other.
Now, it was ten years later, and Brick, Butch, and Boomer had five more months until they turned 18 and ended up as 12th graders and Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles also had five more months until they turned 16 and ended up as 10th graders. With their respective sports and physical activity clubs in school finished for today, all six superhuman teenagers reunited at the same place they swore their everlasting loyalty and love to each other. This even got to the point where 17 going on 18-year-olds Boomer, Brick, and Butch ended up going down on one knee to propose to 15 going on 16-year-olds Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles. The girls gladly accepted their proposal and became very excited to have their true loves be a permanent part of their lives.
So, here they were ten years after 1998, and all three couples could not be any more blissful than they are now.
With that said, let us also get to know each of these couples when they were in the height of their relationships.
Boomer the Good-Humored Track and Field Star and Blossom the Elegant, Genius Karateka: A Most Beautiful, Pure, and Endearing Couple made of Undeniable Relationship Goals
Strength, speed, willpower, and endurance have always been the traits Boomer always had in terms of his magnificent talents as Townsville High’s MVP of the track team. His smile was infectious, as girls fell in love with him and guys were either envious of him or wanted to be like him. Boomer always had to remind them that there is one girl who has always given him several reasons for living and whose beauty, intelligence, and diplomacy made her awesome, and that girl was Blossom. Aside from track and field, Boomer was also part of the basketball, wrestling, water polo, swimming, diving, football, baseball, hockey, and weightlifting teams, and was also a loyal member of the French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Theater, Filmmaking, Guitar, and Glee Clubs.
Blossom’s talents as a karate expert have made her well-loved and well-respected. Her discipline, mastery of this martial art, and focus have made her gain the nickname “Lady Snowblood” named after the eponymous Japanese movie heroine played by Meiko Kaji, whose character’s real name was Yuki Kashima. On the mat, Blossom was a force to be reckoned with, to the point where her sensei stated that she was his star pupil. Karate was not the only school activity Blossom busied herself with. Being Team Xtreme’s brain and only sane woman, she also busied herself with French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Theater, Glee Club as a gorgeous lyric soprano with high notes reaching a High E-Natural, Swimming, Diving, Volleyball, Soccer, Chess, Checkers, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Advanced Mathematics, where she even ended up being Brick’s, Butch’s, and Boomer’s classmate in those classes, even though she was two grades below them.
Boomer and Blossom as a couple were the definition of relationship goals, considering how Blossom had helped Boomer deal with the problems he had in math and science and how Boomer had helped Blossom not get too caught up with what people think of her. They were even nicknamed the Heavenly Chansonniers because of how well they were able to collaborate in the French club and sing their most favorite chansons from Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, and Jacques Brel. Moreover, they were even elected Prom King and Queen, and the polls are in their favor.
Brick the Determined MVP of the Basketball Team and Buttercup the Rambunctious MVP of the Volleyball Team: An Awesomely Epic and Tough Couple You do not want to mess with
Not one to back down any time soon, Brick was that one person his teammates looked up to because of how focused, unwavering, and strong-minded he was as both a basketball pro and the Team Xtreme leader. He was famous for his slam dunks, steals, dribbles, and passes, thus making him the star basketball player of Townsville High. For years, Brick has led his team to victory, and his colleagues could not be any more grateful than they were. As much as the girls swoon over him and the guys want to be like him, he will always consider Buttercup to be his one and only queen. Aside from basketball, Brick busies himself with Physics, Mathematics, Spanish, Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Karate, Wrestling, Judo, Boxing, Football, Baseball, Water Polo, History, and Debate. Ergo, he was Mr. Cool and Popular because of how well-rounded he was.
Buttercup was the undisputed queen of the volleyball court. The way she served the ball and helped her teammates win each school cup just displayed how much of a legend she was. In spite of how amazing she was in volleyball, as well as other sports such as swimming, water polo, diving, Karate, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, basketball, football, hockey, baseball, cricket, softball, and soccer, she was also rather infamous for her feistiness and short fuse. Anyone who was stupid enough to provoke Buttercup would easily feel the wrath of her signature knuckle sandwich. Sports may have been Buttercup’s biggest forte but she was also into Biology, English, and Home Economics.
Brick and Buttercup have certainly kept a tight relationship with each other as a couple, and they were inseparable. They were essentially the King and Queen of Sports, to the point where they received the admiration from rival school teams and their teammates. Ergo, everything they did together in sports and in many physical activities was always on the gold medal line.
Butch the Rough, Tough Superstar Wrestler and Bubbles the Enthusiastically Adorable Cheerleader: A Most Pleasant, Lovable Couple for the Ages
Being the great big muscle of Team Xtreme as well as being one of the strongest fighters ever, Butch has proven himself to be a legend in combat sports. Karate, Judo, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, and Boxing may be his most favorite combat sports, but his affiliation with wrestling knew no bounds. Opponents feared him because of how unpredictable, determined, and animalistic his vice-like grips were. However, simultaneously, they worshipped him because of how strong and resilient he was. He was extremely in both the male and female demographic. Even though girls loved to flock to him because of his muscles, Butch would proudly state that the woman of his dreams was someone who can treat him like a king while having a smile on her face. That girl was none other than Bubbles. Wrestling may have been Butch’s forte, but he was also keen on basketball, Spanish, French, Japanese, Home Economics, baseball, hockey, music, cricket, swimming, water polo, diving, and, surprisingly, the Glee Club, seeing that his richer spinto tenor voice countered Boomer’s light lyric tenor voice so well..
Bubbles’ infectiously gregarious and communicative personality have made her one of the most popular young ladies of Townsville High. This even got to the point where she was even inducted on the cheerleading squad. Ergo, she was the definition of keeping the team spirit alive in every single sport. Her splits, somersaults, aerial dives, and cartwheels were to die for, and she was considered to be Townsville High’s most energetic cheerleader and a shining example of how enthusiasm, passion, and positivity were the building blocks of a great cheerleader. Aside from her cheerleading endeavors, Bubbles had a knack for Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, Home Economics, Art, Drama, Music, and the Glee Club, where she was able to put her coloratura soprano voice to excellent use.
Butch and Bubbles certainly had something special together in terms of how much healthy synergy there was between them. Every time some catty, shallow harlots took potshots on Bubbles mostly because of sheer envy or boredom, Butch would easily call them out on their crap and dish out what he truly thought of them. Moreover, Bubbles was extremely lucky to have someone as big, strong, and tough as Butch in her life because of how he was able to protect her from being hurt as well as have many opportunities to take a gander at Butch’s Olympian body, which made her swoon to no end.
Conclusion
It should be obvious how strong and formidable their relationships were, and when they came of age, all of them were happily married to their eternally beloved ones. Henceforth, that childhood promise was kept with such security, and it took their adolescence to reminisce of the promise they made when they were just children. To this day, that mahogany tree continued to bear the markings left by these six superhuman heroes as a sign of their everlasting love for each other. Even their children loved to hear stories of how their fathers Boomer, Brick, and Butch made their vows of everlasting love to Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles.
