This screenshot motivational poster is highly, utterly, and absolutely Pro-Ayame and Pro-Rin with a few Pro-InuAya, Pro-SessAya, and Pro-SessAyaInu moments thrown in for good measure. Sit back, relax, and soak in how much I cherish the prospects of Ayame’s and Rin’s mother-daughter bond, especially since Rin is the eldest daughter in my AU headcanon.
There is no shadow of a doubt that Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha are exceptional father figures in Rin’s life growing up as a warrior and as an individual, given that the first role model of the opposite sex in a growing girl’s life is her father. Where Sesshoumaru instilled decorum, respect, and excellent conduct in Rin’s life, Inuyasha instilled determination, perseverance, and courage for Rin to ensure that she does not give up the good fight. However, what is a great family without a great mother to hold everyone and everything together? Step forward Ayame whose valor, stamina, perseverance, compassion, loyalty, independence, and elevated sense of duty made great impressions on Rin and helped her to grow up to be a fine warrior and an equally great person. If there is one person Rin, her siblings, and her fathers unconditionally love and would deign to give the honor of mother of the year, it has to be Ayame.
Ayame and Rin would definitely have a mother-daughter bond a lot of parents and children would envy. While Ayame is just as loving as a mother to all of her children, especially the likes of Dai, Roku, Kai, Shiori, and Shinta, her maternal bond with Rin demonstrates how vital compassion and growth of character really are. Ever since Sesshoumaru saved Rin from the clutches of Kouga and his rogue wolves and Inuyasha beat them up for good measure, Ayame has made it her duty to make sure Rin has a family and a home she can call her own, and she would also make sure that Rin is well-protected from all harm and evil lurking around her, thus igniting those motherly instincts within Ayame in a way that empowers the overall scope of the family. Whenever Rin gets injured, Ayame would see to it that her eldest daughter acquires the healing she needs, given her knowledge of which healing herbs would work for Rin and the protocol she would commit to in order for Rin to recover from those injuries. Whenever Ayame is overburdened by her duties as a warrior queen and a mother, Rin would always be there to help her and remind her that she has a family who truly loves her and will always help her whenever she is stuck in a rut.
Since Ayame is quite the protective mother hen and Rin looks up to her as a role model, they would be able to learn many lessons from each other, thus growing in profound and meaningful ways. Through Rin, Ayame has learned that it is not weak to show compassion because of how much understanding there is to make one realize that there are those in this world who cannot catch a break and do need assurance that unconditional love is present regardless of the occasion. Furthermore, this is also a sobering reminder that Ayame should never shirk away from her maternal duties, as she wants to ensure that Rin receives all the unconditional love she can give her and see her grow well, especially since Rin lost her biological family before Sesshoumaru came into her life and before she knew what it was like to have a mother who will truly be there for her daughter. Through Ayame, Rin has learned the values of perseverance, valor, and loyalty to one’s word because she is so grateful and blessed to have a mother like Ayame who lives by those principles with all of her heart, mind, and soul. Therefore, as mother and daughter, Ayame and Rin would grow stronger together, both for the sake of their family and for each other.
Speaking of mother-daughter bonding, Ayame and Rin would do a multitude of activities from the physical ones, such as running marathons, swimming, sparring in boxing, kickboxing, and various martial arts, diving, and hunting, to the more tranquil ones, such as walks in the forest and picking flowers. They would have quality time which stimulates the imperativeness of interpersonal growth as well as securing a healthy tradition both mother and daughter could commit to, especially for the next generations to come. Ergo, the amount of physical and productive activities Ayame and Rin commit to would ensure healthy development and ensuring that pernicious activities, such as addiction or animosity, are not welcome in their happy and healthy home. This would also be great for Rin, considering how much she would grow from a sweet and cheery child to a loving and compassionate warrior healer, start a family of her own with Kohaku, and implement the same traditions she and Ayame did together. On an irreverent note, the likes of Michelle Chang and Julia Chang as well as Lois Foutley and Ginger Foutley can eat their hearts out because Ayame and Rin are about to dominate as a great mother-daughter duo thanks to the profundity of their unconditional love and how much of an important role compassion plays in their lives growing up together as a family.
At the end of the day, Ayame and Rin seal the deal as a mother-daughter duo who have each others’ backs and are grateful to have each other in their lives. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha could not have asked for a greater mother to Rin than Ayame and they are quite blessed to have Ayame in their lives as a wife. This also comes to a head that Rin would grow up to be a strong, determined, and valorous warrior healer who has learned so much from her mother and is grateful to have someone like her show her the ropes and be the greatest mom she can be.
In conclusion, Ayame and Rin as mother and daughter would do their whole family a great world of good. That sense of healing compassion and unconditional love is what permeates their familial relationship to be healthy and beneficial for their interpersonal growth in methods and ways one could barely imagine.
I hope you all enjoyed this insight into Ayame and Rin as a formidable mother-daughter duo and I will see you in the next submission. Take care, stay safe, and do not forget to show your unconditional love to your mothers, everybody.
Ayame and Rin from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
