Sit back, relax, and soak in RobRae’s dark elegance, Jai’s formidable lethalness, Zutara’s synergetic genuineness, Sokkla’s exciting intimacy, Ty Long’s lovely adorability, NigelAbby’s smooth coolness, and Blossoomer’s gorgeous purity.
Take three couples consisting of the boys in red and the girls in blue, RobRae, Zutara, and NigelAbby, and four couples consisting of the boys in blue and the girls in red, Jai, Sokkla, Ty Long, and Blossoomer, and you have what I can proudly decree are my most esteemed, exalted, and ethereally exceptional OTPs in the whole cartoon world. Quality-wise, these couples are the embodiment of healthy synergy, pure genuineness, and a series of phenomenally long-lasting relationships complete with the foundation of a series of equally loving families. That, my friends, is the recipe of what makes RobRae from Teen Titans, Jai, Zutara, Sokkla, and Ty Long from Avatar: The Last Airbender, NigelAbby aka 15 from Codename: Kids Next Door, and Blossoomer from The Rowdyruff Boys and The Powerpuff Girls the endearingly beautiful and noble couples they all are both inside and outside.
Even though these seven couples seem worlds apart, they all share several facets in common. They fully understand each other and are more than willing to build each other up. They have seen each others’ best and worst sides and never looked back at all. They acknowledge each other as real people and respect each others’ boundaries. They protect the ones they care for with all of their hearts, minds, and souls, thus proving themselves to be fiercely loyal. They can challenge each others’ preconceived notions. They look astounding together to the point where their children inherited their parents’ great genes. Most of all, these seven power couples are physically, mentally, and spiritually strong and nothing is going to get them down by any stretch of the imagination.
Color-wise, mixing blue’s calm hues and red’s passionate flair would create purple’s royally noble shades. It is true that Robin is also has yellow, black, and green in his clothing arsenal, Raven also has indigo, deep violet, and black as her signature colors, Jet does have dark blue-gray in his attire, Mai has dark crimson on her robes, Zuko and Azula don fiery crimson in their ambivalent passion with style, Sokka and Katara wear sky blue in their serene and harmonious tones, Longshot and Boomer are adorned with cobalt blue, and Ty Lee and Blossom are pretty in pink, with Ty Lee’s shade of pink being deep salmon pink to reddish pink and Blossom donning her red bow, but the truth remains that whatever shade is offered and mixed with the key color combinations of blue and red, purple, be it light or dark, is still going to bring it all together in enriching harmony.
I have been generally shipping these couples ever since I was a young lad between eleven at the earliest and fifteen at the latest. There were some that I toyed with the idea of them being paired up, such as Sokkla, Ty Long, and Blossoomer, while others were the real deal ever since I was very young and impressionable, such as RobRae, Jai, Zutara, and NigelAbby. Nevertheless, the fascination I have had for RobRae, Jai, Zutara, Sokkla, Ty Long, NigelAbby, and Blossoomer as my cartoon OTPs for life demonstrates just how much they shine like the brightest of diamonds.
With that said, let us get on to the greatness of each of these seven gorgeous couples.
Robin x Raven: Birds of Midnight Flocking Together
Clever, intellectual, and intuitive are the best adjectives to describe Robin the fearlessly intrepid leader and Raven the mysteriously gothic intellect. Logic and magic are entwined in a most passionate tango of destiny and formidability. The love and respect they have for each other is purer than any diamond in the mine and they will never leave each others’ sides because they genuinely understand each other. Robin and Raven even have a knack for enjoying gothic literature and ancient history, thus enlightening each other in very intellectual ways, especially when authors such as Edgar Allan Poe come to mind. Their idea of a romantic evening is a nice, quiet dinner with the moon shining so brightly in the night and a degustation meal washed down with herbal tea and watching a movie directed by either Alfred Hitchcock or Rob Zombie. For years, Robin and Raven have been in a seriously and unconditionally loving relationship, starting from being boyfriend and girlfriend at 16 and 14 to being married and having their first children at 18 and 16. Now with Robin at 34 years old and Raven approaching 32 years old, they are the parents of 15 going on 16-year-old triplet sons Russell, Rockwell, and Rowan, 14 going on 15-year-old triplet sons Reginald, Ryan, and Robert, 13 going on 14-year-old twin daughters Regina and Regan, 12 going on 13-year-old Rosamund and Roxanne, and 11 going on 12-year-old twin daughters Rebecca and Ruth. Their children have become valiant leaders who have a knack for literature and magic, thus proving themselves to be the finest mages of Jump City.
Jet x Mai: Slicing and Dicing with Passion
Enemies better beware when Jet brandishes his hook swords and Mai has her stilettos, knives, and sais at the ready because they will show no mercy when the battlefield is drenched with blood. The clanging and clacking of their weapons when their opponents attempt to overpower them demonstrate that Jet and Mai have the upper hand. Outside the battlefield, Jet is a free eagle with Mai as his watchful owl flying in boundless synergy. Jet could intimately touch Mai in places she never thought possible and Mai could soothe Jet’s high-strung spirit. Their nights of passion would never cease and desist when the moon bears witness to how much lovemaking has been occurring. Ever since Jet saw Mai when he was being operated on by the best physicians ever, after his ordeal in Ba Sing Se, his whole purpose became more fully realized. Despite his vehemence against the Fire Nation, Mai also shared his vehemence because of the rigidness and oppression she had to suffer for years. Jet showed a lot of compassion to her and offered her the chance to run away from the oppression, which she wholeheartedly did. Being inducted to Jet’s Freedom Fighters was the best occasion which happened in her life and Jet was really fortunate to have her by his side. At that moment, even though Jet was 17 and Mai was 15, they ended up married after going on a series of dates complete with the corpses of their enemies making way for this swift and lethal couple. Now with Jet approaching 33 years old and Mai approaching 31 years old, they are the parents of 14 going on 15-year-old son Kazu, 13 going on 14-year-old son Matsu, 12 going on 13-year-old triplet sons Ryu, Riku, and Raku, 11 going on 12-year-old daughter Chiyo, and 10 going 11-year-old Ayano. Their children’s fascination in improving their swordsmanship is of the highest order that it really runs in the family.
Zuko x Katara: Compassion, Synergy, and Balance Know No Bounds
Zuko and Katara began as enemies, for their opposing tribes were involved in a century-long war. However, during their time alone, especially with Zuko realizing that trying to capture Aang the Avatar was pointless and Katara beginning to understand that Zuko was not the face of the Fire Nation, they discovered they had more in common than they thought. They have endured pain, trauma, and agony beyond their wildest imaginations from losing their mothers to bearing the weight of the world on their shoulders. Nonetheless, just like the mightiest of phoenixes, they have risen out of the ashes of darkness and lugubriousness. For Zuko, joining Team Avatar made him realize his true purpose in life and he became the person Katara needed to console, to comfort, and to encourage. Katara could not have been any happier to have Zuko by her side because of how much he takes exceptional care of her. He wants what is best for her, he has seen the best and the worst sides of her with a courageous face, and he does not see Katara as a prize to be won but a young woman full of ambition, passion, kindness, compassion, and determination. Together, they not only build each other up, but they have also proven themselves to be the parental units of Team Avatar, thus functioning as the Team Dad and Mom. As Iroh has always rooted for Zuko, he even believed that his dearest nephew/surrogate son was the perfect husband for Katara. Therefore, he blessed Zuko’s and Katara’s engagement. By the time Zuko was crowned Fire Lord, Katara ended up joining forces with him as his Fire Lady and they were married when he was 17 and she was 15. Now with Zuko at age 32 and Katara approaching 30 in two months, they are the parents of 14 going on 15-year-old eldest son Seiji, 13 going on 14-year-old son Haku, 12 going on 13-year-old daughter Izumi, 11 going on 12-year-old twin daughters Sara and Mara, and 10 going on 11-year-old twin daughters Kya and Kana. Seiji and Izumi are passionate firebenders who bear their father’s determination and focus to the point where they were mini Zukos. Haku, Sara, and Mara have mastered both firebending and waterbending and are incredibly clever and kind souls who will always protect the disenfranchised. Kya and Kana are full-fledged waterbenders who have a great knack for medicine and would love to grow up to be the finest nurses The Fire Nation, The Northern Water Tribe, The Southern Water Tribe, Ba Sing Se, and The Resurrected Air Nomads have ever witnessed. Together, Zuko, Katara, and their offspring have been growing in prosperity and love.
Sokka x Azula: Hot and Spicy Energy Sparks Will Fly Everywhere
On the surface, Sokka’s and Azula’s brand of love might end up seeming like a battlefield. However, when one delves in much deeper, they have a lot more in common than they actually think. Their fascination for warfare, weaponry, and tactics made them click and be pleasantly surprised of each other. Sokka almost thought that Azula would be a mean, cruel, ruthless princess, but he discovered that she was a girl suffering through so much abuse and used ruthlessness as a shield until he stripped that proverbial shield away with one passionate kiss. Azula initially thought that Sokka would be nothing more than a chauvinistic savage, but he has proven himself far more that, considering his love of being challenged and the boundless heaps of courage he had running in his system. They also knew what it was like to endure the pangs of first love. Sokka may have fallen in love with Yue, dated Suki, and was Toph’s object of affection, but Yue became the Moon Spirit, his whole love for Suki was nothing more than puppy love which led them to their breakup, and he always perceived Toph as his little sister from another mother. Azula’s luck with boys was much worse, as she thought that Hahn was completely hopeless, that Chan could never keep up, and the less said about Ruon-Jian the better. Sokka and Azula knew from the bottom of their hearts that they needed someone to truly challenge their preconceived notions and captivate each other in the most exciting way possible. As fate and fortune would have it, Sokka and Azula were each others’ best soulmates. There was no shortage of belligerent sexual tension occurring with these two warriors and their set routine of going into battle then making love was a daily ritual. Sure, Ozai was cringing at the thought of his own daughter being wed to this “barbaric savage”, but Azula firmly reminded her father that Sokka is not the savage she initially thought he was. In fact, he was a clever and courageous soul who has a whole lot more in common with her than she thought. One man who was very supportive of Sokka and Azula being together, given the many occasions Sokka took care of Azula and understood her inside and outside, was none other than Hakoda, Sokka’s and Katara’s dear old dad. Ozai thought he could get away with spitting venomous remarks on Hakoda, but the latter ended up beating the absolute snot out of the former with his bare fists. Ozai continued to be as stubborn and persistent as ever until the amount of beatings he received from Hakoda was far too much for the ex-Fire Lord to bear. After those beatings, he begrudgingly relented, with Sokka smirking and drawling at the painfully bruised and degraded Ozai, “Hope you stay down, daddy-o-in-law.” By the time Sokka reached 18 and Azula reached 16, they were married in the Southern Air Temple. Now with Sokka approaching 32 and Azula approaching 30, this regal warrior couple are the parents of 13 going on 14-year-old eldest son Takano, 12 going on 13-year-old son Kuroki, 11 going on 12-year-old son Noburo, 10 going on 11-year-old twin sons Haruya and Jiroya, and 9 going on 10-year-old twin daughters Nanaho and Mazuho. Takano, Kuroki, and Noburo grew up to be valiant warriors living by the way of the sword, dagger, and battle-axe. Haruya, Jiroya, Nanaho, and Mazuho grew up to be fierce firebenders who always love a bit of competition. Sokka’s and Azula’s family truly value courage and determination as their bedrocks.
Longshot x Ty Lee: Yin and Yang have Never Looked and Felt This Harmonious
A silent archer and a chatty acrobat join eyes, hearts, and souls to be united in blissful harmony. That would be the most ideal situation for Longshot and Ty Lee to be alone together. No pomp, no pretentious, no garishness, but natural, authentic solace and appreciation of the natural. The very defining attribute of Longshot’s and Ty Lee’s loving relationship would be the importance of how actions speak a whole lot louder than words ever could. Longshot does not need to perform bombastic acts of professing his undying love for Ty Lee because he shows it to her in spades by listening to her with all his heart and provide her with all of the respect, allegiance, and attentiveness her heart could ever desire. Where Ty Lee is concerned, his sense of respect and allegiance would be wholeheartedly reciprocated, thus paving the way for both of them to thrive and survive in a cruel and ungrateful world. Their opposite personalities also make them extremely compatible to each other because of how much they can truly empathize each other. Longshot may not have been popular with the ladies because of how taciturn and reserved he was, but Ty Lee has always been extremely popular with the boys because of her exuberance. Finding that balance between being an introvert for Longshot and an extrovert for Ty Lee has provided them with a lot of room for improving each others’ lives, learning from each other, and growing together both as individuals and as a couple. Nothing could ever get them down even if destiny and onslaught of detractors attempted to do so. Fortunately for both 15 going on 16-year-old Longshot and 14-year-old Ty Lee, they decided to bring their relationship to a whole new level by being engaged. Two years later, they ended up married in Ba Sing Se, with all of Ty Lee’s family as well as Smellerbee, Longshot’s little sister from another mother, gregariously blessing the newlyweds. Now with Longshot approaching 32 and Ty Lee approaching 30, they are the parents of 13 going on 14-year-old eldest son Shang Li, 12 going on 13-year-old son Tan Yu, 11 going on 12-year-old daughter Ming Ye, 10 going on 11-year-old twin daughters Ching and Chai, and 9 going on 10-year-old twin daughters Pei and Pui. All of their children are exceptionally gifted in archery and gymnastics and the endurance and the joy they exhibit are evident in their flowing moves and unwavering resolve.
Nigel x Abby: Cool, Confident, Classy and Loving Every Moment of It
Do you want a couple that oozes with coolness and confidence while looking really fashionable doing so? Nigel Uno aka Numbuh 1 and Abigail “Abby” Lincoln aka Numbuh 5 from Sector V have you covered. Style combined with substance is the name of their game because if they were to choose between books or looks, they would go with both, but with more of a preference to intellect, open-mindedness, and savviness over the vapidness of vanity and false prestige. This magnificent balance of professionalism and magnetic attraction is what defines Nigel and Abby as a couple whose tactfulness, conscientiousness, and cognizance affirmed the firmness of their loving relationship. What started out as friendship when Nigel was 12 and Abby was 10 ended up blossoming into romance by the time they entered adolescence. In their teens, Nigel and Abby continued to go out on dates ranging from trips to the amusement park, the beach, and diners, drive-ins, and dives to the more quiet moments in their home. It was not until one early spring when Nigel was approaching 17 and Abby was already 15 that Abby started to feel quite strange. She felt the need to binge and had painful cramps in her abdomen. According to her doctor, she was pregnant and Nigel could not believe his ears. This news was also incredibly shocking to their respective parents. Nevertheless, Monty, Nigel’s father, and Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln trusted that their children were mature enough to take great care of themselves and be just as fantastic parents as they were, considering their roles during their tenure on Sector V. Come on fine day in April when 17 going on 18-year-old Nigel and 16-year-old Abby were married just before prom even started. Now with Nigel approaching 31 and Abby at age 29, they are the parents of 13-year-old twin sons Derek and Darrell, 12-year-old son Elijah, 11-year-old son Jordan, 10-year-old daughter Anastasia, and 9-year-old daughter Carissa. The apple does not fall too far from the tree, for their children are savvy tacticians and have a clearly determined mindset when it comes to embracing each and every challenge with open arms. Therefore, Nigel’s and Abby’s children currently carry the torch of upholding Sector V’s legacy alongside Hoagie’s and Katie’s offspring as well as those of Wallabee’s and Kuki’s.
Boomer x Blossom: Cotton Candy-Flavored Compassion, Classiness, and Cleverness
It goes without decreeing that Boomer and Blossom totally understand each other and have seen each others’ best and worst sides without looking back. This argument could stop there, but there is a whole lot more to love about Boomer and Blossom, the heart and soul as well as the most mature and most insightful members of Team Xtreme. Boomer may be the fun-loving, athletic, charming comedic relief and Blossom may be the eloquent, composed, diplomatic brainy beauty, but they both have insecurities, cracks, and problems that make them all the more fascinating. Boomer is often the target of Brick’s and Butch’s jealousy, even though Brick is popular with the ladies and the gentlemen and Butch is super strong, just because he is the designated youngest of the brothers and has to constantly prove his own strength against them and try to stand up for himself. Blossom’s perfect veneer is a mere cover-up of all the daily anxieties she has to endure from being the responsible designated oldest sister and daughter of her family to maintaining her status as a model student to doing her very best to be the best role model she could be. On the surface, Boomer’s and Blossom’s inner turmoil does seem arbitrary even to their own families. However, towards each other, they can totally realize another level of who they truly are as individuals. They would gain a lot of insight as to what makes them tick, what would keep them up at night, what troubles them, and what do they fear the most. Through these revelations, they discover that they both fear losing their friends and their families. There is a fierce loyalty that embodies Boomer and Blossom to motivate them to protect the ones they truly love. While Brick and Buttercup wear their fierce loyalty with bold, formidable bravado and Butch and Bubbles demonstrate their fierce loyalty by constantly sticking by each other, Boomer’s and Blossom’s brand of fierce loyalty is a stirring combination of nobility, understanding, and true internal and external strength. Furthermore, Boomer’s lightning powers and Blossom’s ice powers have made them just as formidable to the point where enemies do not stand a chance in the slightest of defeating them. Since they are also the most refined members of Team Xtreme, their main interests revolve around music, culture, fine art, science, poetry, and literature. This has been evident when they were children and has bloomed to the time when they were teenagers to adults. Now with Boomer approaching 31 and Blossom approaching 29, they are the parents of 12 going on 13-year-old sextuplets Boniface, Bellerophon, Benedetta, Bellissa, Browen, and Bellance, 11 going on 12-year-old sextuplets Basil, Bramley, Bartholomew, Brenton, Blanchefleur, and Blandine, 10 going on 11-year-old twins Bernadette and Barrett, 9 going on 10-year-old quadruplet sons Byron, Bertram, Brendan, and Blake, 8 going on 9-year-old twins Bradley and Belle, 7 going on 8-year-old daughters Brenda and Belinda, and 6 going on 7-year-old daughters Barbara and Bijou. All of their children are intelligent, diplomatic, stylish, and classy prodigies who love the finer things in life and demonstrate fantastic intellect in nearly everything they do.
In conclusion, life is certainly sweet when it comes to RobRae, Jai, Zutara, Sokkla, Ty Long, NigelAbby, and Blossoomer being the undeniably loving couples that they are. Their undying sense of perseverance and their fierce loyalty towards each other as couples can never be questioned. That is why I really love these couples whether the boys don red and the girls don blue or the boys don blue and the girls don red.
