Katara Intimidates Kagome

This scared Kagome meme was inspired by menslady125. Furthermore, this Halloween weekend is dedicated to defecating all over my least favorite anime heroine of all time, Kagome “the whiny, bratty, stupid manipulator” Higurashi.

Boy, my hatred for Kagome runs really deeply and one of my most favorite Nicktoon heroines can certainly attest to that. Enter Katara of the Water Tribe. Waterbending teacher, great friend, and big sister/mother figure to Aang, a loving and responsible sister to Sokka, a take-charge older sister figure to Toph, a compatible younger sister figure to Suki, Zuko’s one and only soulmate, Hakoda’s most beloved daughter, and Iroh’s most beloved daughter-in-law. She has all these glowing titles and more, but she is also someone who takes no crap from any other person.

Do not underestimate Katara’s personality. She may be kind, caring, and idealistic, but she also bears quite the dark side that we the viewers have seen taking the occasional jabs at Toph to threatening Zuko if he ever dared to hurt her or Aang ever again to witnessing the death of her mother at the hands of Yon-Rha to almost attempting to kill him to finally realizing that she had to learn to let go, thus bringing catharsis to that moment. She has been through a lot of crap in her life and had to channel her energy to help other people. It even takes someone like Zuko, who has also been through so much crap himself, to see that Katara was no prize to be won, but a person with her own goals, feelings, and points of view.

We all know that Katara is a skilled and highly-qualified waterbender, but in her confrontation with the lame-o known as Kagome, her words will definitely pierce Kagome’s soul like a million darts. How does she know? Well, Katara has been having a lot of conversations with Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, and Shunran about how Kagome’s attitude has been nothing but trouble. Joining Katara in her interviews, especially with Inuyasha, were Uncle Iroh, Hakoda, Zuko, Sokka, Suki, Aang, and Toph and they were just as appalled at Kagome’s abusive treatment towards Inuyasha. Inuyasha confirmed with great detail how annoying, jealous, petty, and stupid Kagome was and she never took full responsibility for the shattering of the Shikon Jewel.

Inuyasha’s true friends chimed in. Starting with his older brother, Sesshoumaru, he stated how much of a nuisance Kagome has been towards his younger brother and how much of a manipulator she was when it came to having people being on her side. Shuran found her extremely weak and obnoxious. Hakkaku and Ginta, who managed to ditch Kouga for good and for all, used to like her because she would make a nice mate for Kouga, but they realized just how much Inuyasha was badly hurting from her harsh treatment, so they ditched her too. Ayame could not help but feel really bad for Inuyasha because a strong warrior like him did not deserve to be treated like that. Finally, Shunran said that she would never treat Inuyasha like her pet.

Katara and her comrades thanked Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, and Shunran for their time and went to confront Kagome.

As Katara confronted Kagome, the latter did try to embellish all the stuff she went through to try to get Inuyasha’s attention. However, Katara was not buying it and proceeded to call Kagome a spoiled, pathetic, manipulative loser brat. I will not go into great detail about Katara’s big reason-you-suck speech, but let us just say that Katara found it disgusting that someone as privileged as Kagome who had a single mom, a grandfather, and a younger brother who deserved a better older sibling could not fathom all of the trouble Inuyasha went through with Kikyou and the guilt he was facing for not protecting her. Katara said that she lost her mother and had to act as a surrogate mother towards Aang and Toph because of all the burdens she has carried throughout her young years. This was something Kagome failed to grasp let alone empathize with. Moreover, Katara called Kagome out on being a special snowflake from the future in Miroku’s, Sango’s, Shippou’s, Kaede’s, and Kouga’s eyes when she was actually an over-glorified idiot who could not fight for crap.

Speaking of not fighting for crap, this was something Sokka and Suki called out Kagome on because of how her inability to prove herself as Kikyou’s reincarnation meant that she screwed up big time and should have paid the price for everything she has done.

Zuko would even call out Kagome for not having any honor or strength to stand up for herself and face her own battles, instead of solely relying on her posse to comfort her or Inuyasha to save her all the time. He would even go out of his way to say that Kagome had it way too easy for far too long and should have stepped up from the very beginning. Something that he appreciated about Katara was that she was always a headstrong person who constantly stepped up her game no matter what the situation. In stark contrast to Katara, Kagome failed with falling colors.

Aang could care less about how mopey and whiny Kagome was, especially when she could not get her way. He would even state that he had a few moments like that. However, unlike her, he at least had to take action and not cause gloom for his teammates.

As for Toph, she just went out of her way to call Kagome a stupid, manipulative bitch who did not deserve to be a heroine.

Hakoda would chime in and state that Kagome had dishonor written all over her face.

Katara’s words may have stung, but the final blow came from good old Uncle Iroh who proceeded to tell Kagome that she had nothing that Inuyasha wanted.

All of what Katara, Sokka, Suki, Zuko, Aang, Toph, Hakoda, and Iroh have left Kagome crying like the little bitch that she was to Miroku, Sango, Shippou, and Kaede. However, they were not buying Kagome’s posse’s crap and were rightfully shooed away.

I speak for Katara as well as Zuko, Sokka, Suki, Aang, Toph, Hakoda, and Iroh that Kagome was a manipulative whiner who had it too good and too easy for far too long and it was high time for her to go screw herself to the moon and back to the underworld.

I hope you all enjoyed Katara giving Kagome a piece of her mind with much assistance by Zuko, Sokka, Suki, Aang, Toph, Hakoda, and Iroh. Trust me when I say that Katara takes crap from nobody, especially a lame excuse of a heroine such as Kagome. One thing is for sure. Katara is indubitably a much strong, more formidable, and more likable heroine than that lame-o Kagome could ever aspire to be.

Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender belongs to Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino, and Nickelodeon.

Kagome “the whiny, bratty, stupid manipulator” Higurashi from Inuyasha belongs to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
