This is also dedicated to all of my my SessAya, InuAya, and SessAyaInu-loving friends, fans, fellow artists, and brethren. So, sit back, relax, and revel Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and Ayame’s phenomenal three-way relationship.
Here we have Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and their true lady love Ayame’s transitioning period from their toddler years to childhood to adolescence to young adulthood to their further adult years in their 30s, and what they look like today in their late 30s.
I will reiterate that Sesshoumaru’s and Inuyasha’s loving relationship with Ayame is part of my AU headcanon involving these three courageous and powerful canine yokai warriors, in which they started off as childhood sweethearts and ended up bearing a well-established and pretty offbeat family.
Starting from their toddler years, with Sesshoumaru at 5 years old, Inuyasha at 3 years old, and Ayame at 1 year old, these three started to bear the first signs of a truly loving and close relationship with each other. It also helped that the year before that, both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha were present during Ayame’s christening, and The Dog General and The Wolf Elder witnessed the first seeds of love blossoming from these three, given how playful they were.
As children, Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and Ayame’s blossoming relationship became ever more fully realized. When 8-year-old Sesshoumaru and 6-year-old Inuyasha were sparring with each other in the woods, they heard a cry in the woods and some awful screeching noises. The cry came from 4-year-old Ayame and the screeches came from The Birds of Paradise. Young Sesshoumaru and Young Inuyasha joined forces to defeat The Birds of Paradise with the usage of their claws, fists, and fangs and rescued Little Ayame. Both of them swore that they will be strong for her, with Sesshoumaru cracking his knuckles to show that he would defeat all of Ayame’s enemies and Inuyasha playfully flexing his biceps to display his strength to her. Ayame was completely charmed by her two loving beaus.
During their adolescent years, 19-year-old Sesshoumaru, 17-year-old Inuyasha, and 15-year-old Ayame were The Northern Yoro Tribe’s bravest warriors, and both brothers have also been married to Ayame for eleven years, ever since they were fully inducted into the tribe. Their most noble deed was when they saved the 8-year-old orphan girl Rin from Kouga and his rogue wolves by giving her the protection she needed, beating up Kouga and his rogue wolves with their fists and strength, and making Kouga fly back to his den through the power of their punches, which proved to be a near-fatal encounter for the cowardly wolf warrior. Rin was really grateful to have been rescued by Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame that she was so willing to be adopted by them as their beloved daughter. Moreover, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame ended up obtaining some new artillery from the Wolf Yokai Graveyard Protector such as a spear forged from The Dog General for Sesshoumaru, the Goraishi for Inuyasha, and some titanium shuriken for Ayame, thus making them not only useful in battle and even for revival in the spear’s case but also as family heirlooms, especially where their children, 11-year-old triplet sons Motoharu, Mitsuhide, and Matsuhige, 10-year-old triplet sons Masaya, Masataka, and Motomu, 10-year-old adopted sons Dai, Roku, and Kai, 9-year-old twin sons Kenta and Keita, 8-year-old twin sons Kazuhiko and Kaito, 8-year-old adopted daughters Rin and Shiori, 7-year-old triplet daughters Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto, 7-year-old adopted daughter Kanna, 7-year-old adopted son Shinta, 6-year-old adopted daughter Souten, and 6-year-old triplet daughters Motoka, Maya, and Minako were concerned.
Going into their twenties, with Sesshoumaru at 24 years old, Inuyasha at 22 years old, and Ayame at 20 years old, their loving bond continued to be as strong as ever, and that same bond was what continued to provide their family with enough strength to persevere and survive. It has also been five years that they alongside Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, and Shunran defeated Naraku for good and for all, and their lives have continued to display more fortitude. Even with new looming foes invading the Northern Yoro Tribe, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, and their progeny were always willing to protect their home with everything they got. It also helped that their first-born sons Motoharu, Mitsuhide, Matsuhige, Masaya, Masataka, Motomu, Dai, Roku, and Kai were the first ones to end up getting married.
Ten years later, with Sesshoumaru at 34, Inuyasha at 32, and Ayame at 30, they have continued to be the strong, powerful, and courageous warriors and defenders of the Northern Yoro Tribe as ever. Their family even ended up becoming the most powerful one the tribe has ever witnessed thanks to Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame leading the tribe so awesomely, especially considering how their children and their grandchildren have aided them in perpetuating the honor of their tribe. With every victory they have obtained throughout the years, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame consistently fulfilled their roles as the Northern Yoro Tribe’s most formidable leaders.
Nowadays, 39-year-old Sesshoumaru, 37-year-old Inuyasha, and 35-year-old Ayame are still as vibrant, determined, and strong as they have always been. Ergo, they, their children and their grandchildren display no signs of stopping and they have fully preserved the honor of their tribe and their family. With their eldest grandchildren also married, they will also expect some great-grandchildren to be born next year and even two years from now.
In conclusion, Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha have proven themselves to be Ayame’s greatest beaus ever since they were very young, and their bond has maintained its strength for an astounding amount of years, which displays just how blessed these three are to have each other in their lives. Where Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha are concerned, Ayame is certainly glad to have both of these dashing dog yokai warriors as her lawfully-wedded husbands. In terms of Ayame, both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha are truly blessed to have someone as determined, fierce, and jovial such as her in their lives and they could not have had it any other way.
