Four Handsomely Delicious Greek Beefcakes

This motivational poster is dedicated to all of my friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren who take a fancy to Triton, Hercules, Hermes, and Ares from the 1997 animated film “The Amazing Feats of Young Hercules”. So, sit back, relax, and sit in for a spell for what I have to declare about these four strapping Olympians who ended up being in such an asinine film.

I came across this “animated film” by complete chance thanks to one of Blameitonjorge’s videos, in which he collaborated with PhantomStrider and ended up listing down their top ten Dreamworks rip-off films. When PhantomStrider mentioned “The Amazing Feats of Young Hercules”, I was quite curious to check it out.

Lo and behold, I did not care for it at all because the characters were flat, the story was uninteresting, the animation left a lot to be desired, and the whole shebang was lackluster beyond belief. However, there was one scene that I particularly liked, and that was the opening scene with Hercules singing his lame I Am song alongside his brothers Triton, Hermes, and Ares.

My main reason for liking this scene is attributed to the potential it could have had instead of Hercules doing some labors to atone for “abusing his powers” and have his animal sidekick who turns into a girl and ended up having a relationship together, which came out of nowhere. This could have been an opportunity to have Ares, Triton, Hermes, and Hercules bond as brothers, have adventures together, and be the powerful brothers that they are. Moreover, I would have loved to see this go in a “Flintstones”, “The Roman Holidays” or “Hagar the Horrible” vibe because it could have had the potential to be an animated action comedy starring four strapping, lean-muscled studs of Olympus.

These four brothers would be designated with different personalities rather than just having Hercules be the center of attention. Aside Hercules being the youngest and the big shot, foolhardy muscleman of his brothers, Ares would be the hulking, courageous, musclebound warrior of a man who is unafraid of showing how manly he is, Triton would be the appreciative, kind, supportive, lovable pacifist who enjoys keeping the peace within the family, and Hermes would be the charming, charismatic gentleman who prides himself on chivalry. Therefore, they would be the most close-knit quartet of brothers all of Greece will ever see.

Finally, I would even decree that there might as well be more fan art love to be given to these four Olympian brothers because even though “The Amazing Feats of Young Hercules” is not a great animated film by any stretch of the imagination, these four guys might as well have had their own show and have their own AU headcanon and call it a day.

I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
