Hello, everybody. It is two more days before I turn 28 years old, and I thought it would be nice to compile twenty-eight couple-related pieces of fan art throughout my two years on DeviantArt, which I think resonated with me the most.
A good number of them are contest entries, pairing month entries, accomplished art trades, and even concepts I enjoyed experimenting with, especially with some of my DeviantArtist friends.
Most of you know me as one of the most devout OTP-shippers of Mr. Green x Mrs. Sara Bellum-Green, Professor Utonium x Mrs. Keane-Utonium, Brick x Buttercup, Butch x Bubbles, Boomer x Blossom, Mitch x Bunny, Harry x Julie, and Mike x Robin, as my OTPs of Townsville not only correlate to having the Rowdyruff Boys and the Powerpuff Girls becoming the six-person superhero team Team Xtreme in my headcanon, but also because of how wonderfully flexible and lovely all of these couples are together.
At the opposite end of Townsville’s heroic couples, I am also a very devout shipper of Bud x Berserk, Ace x Brute, and Snake x Brat because I cannot go wrong with the Powerpunk Girls hooking up with gentlemen they think scream bad boy and absolutely charming. Moreover, these couples scream undeniable sexiness.
However, I have also dabbled into other OTPs in western animation such as Arnold x Phoebe and Gerald x Rhonda from Hey Arnold, the fabulous crossover pairing Jack Spicer x Princess Morbucks aka Prinack, and Kevin Levin x Gwen Tennyson from Ben 10, as I have been shipping these couples ever since I was still in my formative years with Prinack being a bit of a recent discovery when I was in my mid-20s and becoming a full-fledge Prinack shipper through not only PrincessCallyie’s works but also BrickercupMasterX3’s annual Prinack month.
Being someone who grew up on 90’s cartoons and Disney animated films, as my age would show, I have also been a huge fan of Batman: The Animated Series, Pocahontas, and Tarzan because of how many great memories I have had with these installments, especially The Legend of Tarzan. With these installments came my most beloved slash OTPs from them, Poison Ivy x Harley Quinn, Uti x Muviro, Namontack x Basuli, and Kocoum x Tarzan. Whether I am entranced by that Poison Ivy x Harley Quinn lovability, gorgeousness, charm, and sexiness or the virility, handsomeness, and sheer splendor of Uti x Muviro, Namontack x Basuli, and Kocoum x Tarzan, I will always treasure these slash couples for everything they represent in terms of being in a healthy, lovely, and beautiful relationship.
Venturing to the Land of the Rising Sun, I always managed to spot a great number of OTPs from Inuyasha, which is an anime series I have the greatest love-hate relationship with. Nevertheless, I have remained a loyal advocate of Kuranosuke Takeda x Toran, Sesshoumaru x Kagura, Shuran x Ayumi, Inuyasha x Ayame, Hakkaku x Karan, Ginta x Shunran, and Kohaku x Rin. Even if I really hate Kouga and Kagome, cannot tolerate Sango, and have a huge love-hate relationship with Bankotsu, I am just as much of a loyal shipper of Kouga x Sango and Bankotsu x Kagome because at least they can bring in some healthy benefits in their relationship unlike the ones featured in the main show. My focus has not solely been directed at my most beloved Inuyasha OTPs of all time, but also some really interesting anime crossover OTPs involving characters from Baki the Grappler, Shootfighter Tekken, Hajime no Ippo, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ultra Maniac, and Solty Rei in the forms of Baki x Rosé, Ichiro x Rose, Kiibo x Winry, Ippo x Maya, and Kintaro x Solty because of how splendid they looked together but also how I managed to see a whole lot of strength and loyalty in their relationships, and even my most beloved Wolf’s Rain couple of all time Kiba x Cheza. I would love to venture to more of my anime OTPs in terms of drawing them, but for now, all of these anime OTPs I have drawn so far will always be cherished until the end of time.
Ever since being on DeviantArt, I have discovered some very interesting OC universes created by the innovative hands of some of my friends BrickercupMasterX3, KatyGorl, Mister-Sukeruton, and Obelis. When I immersed myself in Nicole x Aalyiah, Shadow x Suzie, Zak x Sisa, and Eneys x Rilla, I knew for a fact that I was going to root for these couples with every fiber of my being. From Shadzie’s adolescent beauty and lovability to NicAaly’s resplendently feminine elegance, ZakSisa’s strong sexiness to EneysRilla’s mythical genuineness, I was immediately captivated by how firm these couples’ relationships are and I would love to continue to see their stories flourish with synergy and harmony.
