This edited screenshot comic is dedicated to all of my Kaj and Tarzan-loving friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren. So, sit back, relax, and soak in Kaj’s and Tarzan’s beautifully competitive brand of brotherly love.
I know I should have mentioned this in my earlier post, but as you can tell, Kaj in my headcanon actually talks in full sentences. If I were to assign a voice actor for Kaj it would have to be Clancy Brown who is certainly no stranger to gruff, ambiguous-sided, badass, strong warriors. I mainly take his performance as Wolf from “Gargoyles” as inspiration, as I can hear in Kaj a certain gruffness, toughness, roughness, and guttural growling in his rumbling voice. Therefore, he does function as Tarzan’s gruff yet loving older brother with a super hard outer shell but a soft, gooey core. I would go out of my way and say that Clancy Brown’s voice as Kaj would be a great complement to Phil Lamarr’s dashing, proud, and headstrong performance as Basuli and Michael T. Weiss’s subdued, handsome, and calm performance as Tarzan.
So, this scenario involves Kaj wanting a rematch with Tarzan after the latter beat the former. As stated before, it is one their traditions they have done ever since they were young children. Even when Kaj is married to Uti and Tarzan is married to Kocoum with children and grandchildren, they still uphold that competitive tradition to the point where this is passed down to their progeny, rematches and all.
As one can tell, this is how Kaj and Tarzan display their brotherly love to each other and they have been enjoying every single moment of it.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
Kaj, Tarzan, and the screenshot from “Tarzan and The Leopard Man Rebellion” from The Legend of Tarzan belong to Edgar Rice Burroughs and Walt Disney.
