Ginta and Shunran: Underrated Sweethearts

This motivational poster, which is part of the annual Inuvember submissions, is dedicated to all of my GinShun-shipping friends, fellow artists, and brethren. So, sit back, relax, and soak in that GinShun sweetness, loveliness, elegance, and gorgeousness.

This is also my annual Red Ribbon Reviewers contribution for the year of 2019. So, do enjoy this meme I have come up containing one of my most beloved Inuyasha OTPs of all time.

For someone who has been shipping Ginta and Shunran as a romantic couple, it kind of shocks me to know that there is barely any fanart of fanfics featuring this particular couple. I would even go out of my way to say that Ginta x Shunran could work, and this couple needs a whole lot more love.

Sure, my reasoning for why I am a hardcore shipper of this couple may not be the comprehensible, but I cherish this ship because of how surprisingly healthy, positive, and stress-free Ginta’s and Shunran’s relationship would be. I figure that Ginta’s brand of kindness, strength, courage, and hilarity could be a huge compliment to Shunran’s cheeriness, adorability, feistiness, and enthusiasm. Therefore, a symphony of positive vibes and endorphins will end up being poured out from every single pore in their fine bodies.

Basically, my headcanon for this couple is that they start out as childhood sweethearts, end up admiring each other while they are still very young, end up getting married in their pre-adolescence, and start a happy, healthy family.

In conclusion, I personally feel like there needs to be a lot more fan-related works involving Ginta and Shunran as a couple, and I hope I am not the only one who feels this. So, what are we waiting for? I say we continue to fill the Inuyasha shipping fanbase with more Ginta x Shunran fanart, fanfics, and other fan-related works. Let’s spread the GinShun love and awesomeness.

I hope you all enjoyed this motivational poster, and I will see you in the next submission. Take care, everybody.

Ginta, Shunran, and the screenshots from “Trapped In A Duel to the Death” and “The Panther Tribe and the Two Swords of the Fang” from Inuyasha belong to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
