This edited screenshot collage is dedicated to all of my most beloved color-clash or mixed color or Brickercup, Butchubbles, and Blossomer-shipping friends, comrades, fellow artists, fans, and brethren. So, soak in that Brickercup epicness, that Butchubbles loveliness, and that Blossoomer purity.
I know I am going to sound like the biggest broken record imaginable but I am thoroughly happy, blessed, and grateful to be a hardcore Brickercup, Butchubbles, and Blossoomer shipper because of how much greatness, flexibility, and fun these particular couples have. It also helps that I continue to surround myself with awesome friends who ship these wonderful couples, seeing that I also consider them as my siblings from other mothers, such as BrickercupMasterX3, xahCHUx, and KatyGorl among many other exceptional color-clash specialists of the world. With being surrounded by these wonderful artists, I have continued to find so much more inspiration and passion to make me affirm how much I love the ground Brick x Buttercup, Butch x Bubbles, and Boomer x Blossom walk on.
With that said, to couple this piece of work I edited together containing screenshots from some of my favorite episodes, here are some headcanons I have for Brickercup, Butchubbles, and Blossoomer.
Brick x Buttercup (Brickercup): Townsville’s Toughest, Most Rambunctious Power Couple Ever
If there is one thing that defines this couple as a whole, it would have to be their unparalleled love for combat, their undying will to always get physical, show no fear in the face of adversity, and their willingness to never take crap from anybody. Ergo, Brick and Buttercup are inseparable.
As children back in 1997, 7-year-old Brick and 5-year-old Buttercup have always been the best of friends, thus enjoying each others’ company with Buttercup respecting Brick’s brand of authority and Brick appreciating how strong and tough Buttercup is as a fighter. One year later, their friendship turned into a close attraction to each other, especially since Buttercup would always blush whenever Brick was around but she refused to state that she was infatuated with him.
Cutting to their tween years in 2002, 12-year-old Brick affirmed his admiration for Buttercup with her almost unwillingly returning his affections. Nevertheless, she knew in her heart that Brick was and will always be her forever man. Their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend accelerated between 2003 and 2005 and came into full fruition in 2008, when Brick was an 18-year-old twelfth-grade student who was popular on the basketball court, the soccer field, and the wrestling team and Buttercup was a 16-year-old tenth-grade student who dominated the volleyball court, soccer field, and basketball court.
Before Buttercup graduated from high school and Brick was in college in 2011, she ended up being pregnant with Brick’s children to the point where they ended up married once she graduated high school with Brick being 20 going 21 years old and Buttercup being 18 going on 19 years old, thus making them have their honeymoon in Oahu, Hawaii. As of 2019, Brick and Buttercup are the proud parents of twelve fiercely independent, rough-and-tumble children, who are 8-year-old sextuplets Brad, Bruce, Bailee, Bea, Brett, and Bridget and 7-year-old sextuplets Baxter, Blaster, Braxton, Buckley, Brooklyn, and Braelyn.
In terms of their hobbies and activities, both of them love combat sports and ball sports to bits. Brick is an expert player in basketball, soccer, football, water polo, Pankration, weightlifting, boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts while Buttercup completely dominates in volleyball, soccer, football, swimming, diving, long jump, rollerblading, skateboarding, karate, judo, and Tae Kwon Do. Aside from their passion for physical activities, both Brick and Buttercup love listening to rock and roll, heavy metal, death metal, and indie rock with their favorite bands being Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, K.I.S.S., Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Pink Floyd and watching action films.
Even during their honeymoon in Oahu, their first set of sextuplets were also born there, thus bearing a bit of that island charm in them. Their activities have even managed to make quite the impression on their elder children to the point where Brad and Bruce want to compete in a mixed-martial arts tournament when they grow up, Bailee wants to represent the women’s kickboxing league, Bea would love to make fierce designs using hot colors to start her own clothesline for athletes, Brett would love to compete as a basketball player, Bridget would love to be involved in soccer, Baxter, Blaster, Braxton, and Buckley would love to compete in boxing or a lot of combat sports tournaments, and Brooklyn and Braelyn would love to get themselves into action movies doing their own stunts.
Personality-wise, Brick has always admired Buttercup for being outspoken, courageous, and real because she does not have to prove herself to be overly feminine, a know-it-all or a total man-eater to be perfect for him. Therefore, Buttercup is perfect the way she is in Brick’s eyes. Meanwhile, Buttercup has always admired Brick’s determination, large-and-in-charge personality, and how he leads Team Xtreme with an iron fist yet also willing to give his teammates the respect they deserve. Brick always gives Buttercup valuable advice when it comes to tackling her opponents while Buttercup makes sure that Brick does not get too big for his boots.
Butch x Bubbles (Butchubbles): Townsville’s Loveliest, Most Flexible Power Couple Ever
As a couple, Butch and Bubbles are defined by how much loving synergy can exist between a tough fighter who uses a lot of muscle in everything he does and an ingenue with an edge who values people’s emotions and has oodles of compassion. They even show a lot of loyalty, kindness, and a willingness to protect each other against all harm while surprising each other in the most pleasant way possible.
During their childhood years from 1997 to 2001, Bubbles always had a major crush on Butch because of how strong, tough, rough, and brave he was in combat. Even in spite of his toughness, Butch found it really difficult to express his much softer side to anyone else other than Bubbles who does see his protective side whether it is with her or within the team. It also did not help matters that Butch’s face would turn as red as a tomato every time he encountered Bubbles due to the fact that he also had a huge crush on her. In turn, he admired Bubbles for how forgiving, kind, merciful, loving, and open she was as a person. On top of that, their favorite activity to do together was go to the forest where Bubbles would bring her bag of trail-mix to feed Butch and eventually the critters of the forest.
By the time 2002 rolled around, 12-year-old Butch fully affirmed of his undying love for Bubbles, which made her all the more euphoric. Between 2003 to 2007, Butch was proud to call Bubbles his girlfriend, as their relationship reached its peak in 2008 when it was fully affirmed during senior prom, thus giving Bubbles a sapphire ring with their names inscribed on it. It also helped that when Butch participated in basketball, soccer, football, hockey, baseball, wrestling, karate, judo, Muay Thai, and mixed martial arts tournaments, Bubbles was always the cheerleader who shouted the loudest over the clamor while performing some of the most complex moves almost no cheer-dancer could ever do in his or her lifetime.
Before Bubbles graduated from High School and during Butch’s time in college back in 2011, 18 going on 19-year-old Bubbles was pregnant with 20 going on 21-year-old Butch’s children. They ended up married after Bubbles graduated from High School and had their honeymoon in Tokyo, Japan. As of 2019, Butch and Bubbles are the proud parents of twelve super strong, super adorable children, who are 8-year-old sextuplets Brandon, Buddy, Brea, Betty, Blithe, and Bibi and 7-year-old sextuplets Blaine, Blair, Breckin, Bowen, Brandi, and Bellamy.
Butch may be a huge fan of wrestling, martial arts, soccer, weightlifting, bodybuilding, death metal music, boxing, and kickboxing and Bubbles may be a huge fan of cheerleading, all types of dance, sculpting, painting, acting, singing, and voice acting, but the one thing that brings them together is their love for anime. While Butch is into seinen and even ultra violent anime such as Berserk, Black Lagoon, Angel Cop, Genocyber, Wicked City, and Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust and Bubbles is usually into shoujo anime such as Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Madoka Magica, Revolutionary Girl Utena and even Pokémon, Digimon, and Doraemon, both Butch and Bubbles love shonen anime such as Dragonball Z, YuYu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Bleach, Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, and One Punch Man.
On top of that, the first set of sextuplets were even born in Tokyo, hence their fluency in Japanese. As part of their weekend family routine, Butch, Bubbles, Brandon, Buddy, Brea, Betty, Blithe, Bibi, Blaine, Blair, Breckin, Bowen, Brandi, and Bellamy would participate in a lot of activities ranging from weightlifting to soccer to sculpting and end the day by watching Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, Assassination Classroom, Inuyasha, YuYu Hakusho, and/or Dragonball Z Super. This has even got to the point where Brandon and Buddy would love to become voiceover artists for anime, Brea would love to create her own manga, Betty, Blithe, Bibi, Brandi, and Bellamy would love to form their own J-Rock and Enka group, and Blaine, Blair, Breckin, and Bowen would love to go to Japan as translators. As if that were not enough, Butch and Bubbles are also very passionate about the Spanish, Korean, and Japanese languages to the point where their children are experts in these three languages.
In terms of their personalities, Butch has always admired Bubbles for seeing the best in him, her compassion, her encouragement, her undying moral support, and how much her hardcore “Bubblevicious” side emerges in times of danger, thus turning him on in a deep level. Given that Bubbles is the pacifist, Butch also loves the way she is able to keep a positive attitude in the group and the way she is able to heal his wounds after every scuffle he gets himself into. As for Bubbles, she admires Butch for how courageous, strong, tough, and protective he is of her, thus displaying a lot of loyalty and trust for the both of them.
Boomer x Blossom (Blossoomer): Townsville’s Purest, Most Genuine Power Couple Ever
Boomer and Blossom indubitably have the most stable, most long-lasting, and most loving relationship ever. They have the ability to open each other up as people, be comfortable in each others’ skins, and always find a way to encourage each other to do a lot better and to find the best facets in each other every single time.
Beginning back in 1997, 7-year-old Boomer and 5-year-old Blossom always knew in their hearts and in the backs of their minds that they appreciated each other for who they are. As much as Boomer admired Blossom for her class, prettiness, and intelligence and as much as Blossom admired Boomer for his super strength, unparalleled athleticism, and complete control of his powers, he always loved how compassionate, attentive, and kind she was to him and she always loved how chivalrous, protective, and attentive he was to her. Thus, it marked the beginning of a beautiful relationship as childhood sweethearts which grew so magnificently by the time 2001 rolled when Boomer was 11 and Blossom was 9. It also helped that Blossom was extremely supportive of Boomer’s academic endeavors and was there for him on a consistent basis.
2002 was the year that Boomer and Blossom started to affirm their love for each other and made an eternal vow that they will stay loyal to each other not just as teammates but also as lovers until their dying day. 2003 to 2007 were the years that saw Boomer’s and Blossom’s ever-strengthening relationship with each other, thus being so proud and happy to call each other boyfriend and girlfriend. In 2008, not only did Blossom participate in the twelfth-grade calculus course, thus helping Boomer out in the problems he was having in math, but she was also Boomer’s prom date to the point where they were Prom King and Prom Queen from 11th to 12th grade.
2011 saw the year of Blossom’s high school graduation and Boomer’s final year in sophomore college, as 18 going on 19-year-old Blossom was pregnant with 20 going on 21-year-old Boomer’s children. They were married straight after her graduation and had their honeymoon in Bordeaux, France, which was their biggest dream ever since they were teenagers. As of 2019, Boomer and Blossom are the proud parents of twelve creative, intelligent, good-humored children 8-year-old sextuplets Bloom, Brittney, Beau, Brian, Becky, and Bella and 7-year-old sextuplets Basil, Bramley, Bartholomew, Brenton, Blanchefleur, and Blandine.
It is true that Boomer enjoys track-and-field, weightlifting, basketball, hockey, soccer, wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, circuit training, and long jump and Blossom is passionate about chemistry, physics, biology, figure skating, Kung Fu, karate, battoujutsu, capoeira, world literature, politics, fashion design, and world history. However, what has always brought them together is their love of the French language, French chansons, classical music, opera, musicals, Celtic music, indie music, folk music, and chamber music. It also helps that Boomer is an expert at the guitar and drums, Blossom plays the piano and the flute at such an expert level, and both of them have exceptional singing voices with Boomer’s lyric tenor voice complimenting Blossom’s lyric soprano voice in harmonious symphony. They are even fans of the great chansonniers such as Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Georges Moustaki, Jacques Brel, Maxime le Forestier, Georges Brassens, Juliette Greco, Mireille Mathieu among many other chanson specialists to the point where they added their songs to their repertoire. Aside from French music, they also enjoy listening to Nina Simone and Patti LaBelle.
Even in their honeymoon, they did not just end up being in Bordeaux but also travelled to Paris, Lyon, Cannes, Nice, and Marseille. Therefore, their first set of sextuplets were born in Paris and it was a sign of things to come when Boomer and Blossom was going to give their other children French names. To top it off, their children are not just fluent in French but also in German, Italian, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean. Aside from that, their children have very interesting aspirations with Bloom’s fascination for biology and fashion design, Brittney’s goals of being a writer and a playwright, Beau’s love for playing the piano and singing opera arias, Brian’s passion for the French horn, singing opera arias, and singing chansons, Becky’s love for French architecture, Bella’s interest in historical fashion especially that of the Rococo period, Basil being a master of the guitar, Bramley proving that he can play the flute so beautifully, Bartholomew demonstrating his skills as a violinist, Brenton expressing an interest in physics and in French chansons, Blanchefleur learning a lot of French opera arias and learning the oboe, and Blandine becoming very interested in playing the clarinet. Boomer’s and Blossom’s children have and will always prove themselves to be exceptionally well-rounded.
It should come off as no surprise how exceptionally Boomer and Blossom have clicked as a couple. Boomer has always admired Blossom for her compassion, encouragement, class, intelligence, kindness, mercy, and honesty, thus appreciating Blossom for everything she is as a person. In turn, Blossom has always appreciated Boomer for his kindness, good humor, attentiveness, and genuineness and has always seen the best in him in everything he does. Blossom always makes sure that Boomer stands up for himself and Boomer always sees to it that Blossom does not let pride get too much into her head.
