Looks like Kagura the wind sorceress does not have a chance in either Heaven, Earth or Hell to triumph over Mrs. Wicket the landlady from London, England. Even with all of the tricks and attacks Kagura has up her elegant sleeves, they cannot suffice to the raw man, or in this case, woman power Mrs. Wicket has despite her old age.
We all know the atrocious deeds Kagura did ranging from the massacre she created on Kouga’s fellow tribesmen to having several demons aid her in battling Inuyasha and Miroku in order for Kohaku to kill Kagome under Naraku’s influence to kidnapping Rin to trapping Miroku and Sango in the pits where clumps of Naraku’s flesh were about to come together to using Kagome as a vessel for Akago to feed into her dark side to serving the villainess Princess Kaguya before realizing how manipulative she was to both her and Kanna. Even in spite of all these atrocities, Kagura still wanted freedom and tried to use Sesshoumaru and, unwillingly enough, Inuyasha to help her gain her freedom.
Sure, Kagura may have also been in love with Sesshoumaru, but based on his subtle reactions, he was not interested in having a nuisance as Kagura throw a hissy fit at him for not being “man enough” to defeat Naraku.
Mrs. Wicket has certainly been keeping tabs on Kagura’s awful misdeeds mostly done on her own volition as well as under Naraku’s influence. Either way, this wind witch was going to be dead meat under Mrs. Wicket’s hands.
Kagura would start off with her signature attacks Dance of the Dragon, Dance of Blades, and Dance of the Dead. However, these attacks are not enough to faze Mrs. Wicket, as she lunges at her with a powerful punch to the cheek, a grab to her fan in order to break it apart, and taking her feather so that Kagura will not escape. Ensuing from this are Mrs. Wicket’s pure strength found in her punches in order for Kagura to stay down once and for all, thus leading to the killing blow of Mrs. Wicket punching Kagura’s chest area where her heart is.
Even as Kagura is on the verge of death, she tries to ask for Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and Ayame’s help. However, they are not so forgiving towards this creature. Sesshoumaru reminded her that it is her death that she needs to embrace. Inuyasha stated to her that after all the awful things she has done, she deserves to find permanent freedom in the underworld. As for Ayame, even she would give her two cents on stating that her tribe is lucky to be alive because if they were not, she would have sought for Kagura’s blood on their behalf.
Kagura’s breathes her last breath and lays motionless all while being totally incredulous that someone who seemed old and grey could muster the power to defeat her and dodge all of her deadly attacks.
I hope you all enjoyed Mrs. Wicket’s pummeling of this polarizing yet treacherous wind sorceress, given how each attack was dodged and triumph was around the corner for this landlady hailing from London, England.
Take care, stay safe, and do not ever get on Mrs. Wicket’s bad side or else you will have your heart torn from you just like Kagura.
