This screenshot demotivational poster is highly, highly Anti-Kouga. So, sit back, relax, and revel in the evisceration I have for this loser of a wolf warrior and how Goraishi should have ended up on more capable hands.
Ah, Kouga the loser wolf yokai warrior, we meet again. This time I am not going to hold back on why Kouga is undeserving of Goraishi, a powerful weapon which is an heirloom to the wolf yokai tribe.
“Inuyasha: The Final Act” could have been a nice opportunity for Kouga to step up his game as a fighter and not be a bluffing wimp anymore. Unfortunately, he ended up disappointing me on so many levels because of his inability to fight in battle and always rely on the Shikon Jewel shards on his legs as his be all end all means of combat and superhuman abilities.
Goraishi could have been used by Kouga to help Inuyasha and the gang in defeating Naraku, and it was a truly impressive weapon which can obliterate anything with the usage of lightning bolts being shot out of those metallic claws akin to the Tessaiga’s Wind Scar. However, it ended up becoming nothing more than wasted opportunity, as Kouga did not show up in the final battle against Naraku after his jewel shards ended up being deprived from him via Naraku. So much for Kouga wanting to avenge his fallen comrades and honor his tribe. I do not even understand why on earth Kouga’s “ancestors” chose him even though he was constantly running away from battle.
If I had it my way, I believe that Inuyasha could have gotten that weapon in one fell swoop. I know it is the Inuyasha x Ayame shipper in me speaking as well as the AU part of me screaming over the clamor, but please hear me out.
In my AU involving Inuyasha and Ayame as a couple, young Inuyasha was inducted into young Ayame’s tribe as a fellow warrior, her husband, and her protector. In order to live up to his tribe, Inuyasha battled with the wolf guardian using his strength, speed, claws, quick reflexes, and fists. The wolf guardian saw a whole lot of formidability in young Inuyasha and he obtained the Goraishi. Whenever Inuyasha uses Goraishi, especially in his full yokai transformation, he and the weapon would increase in power, energy, and sheer obliteration. To this day, Goraishi has become a fine family heirloom for Inuyasha, his wife Ayame, and all of their children.
In conclusion, Kouga’s cowardice, bluffing, and inability to prove himself as a brave warrior living up to his word for his fallen comrades have made him a terrible candidate for Goraishi. A warrior as brave, strong, formidable, and fierce as Inuyasha is more worthy of that heirloom as well as Ayame’s hand in marriage and even the wolf yokai tribe’s respect and honor. Therefore, Kouga is stripped bare of his honor and he deserves nothing!
I also want to thank my very great friend RivaAnime for her inspiration in making me have my say on Goraishi and why Kouga did not deserve this legendary weapon in the slightest iota.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
Kouga from Inuyasha belongs to Rumiko Takahashi and Sunrise.
