This screenshot motivational poster is dedicated to all of my AquaBee and Kid Flinx-shipping friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren. So, sit back, relax, and soak in that AquaBee ecstasy and that Kid Flinx loveliness.
Though Aqualad x Bumblebee and Kid Flash x Jinx are world apart when it comes to how they are as couple, especially when it comes to their personalities, they all have one thing in common. Both of these couples are clear examples of how effectively opposites can attract each other in the most positive and most enlightening ways.
Some of you might be writing in comments below stating, but RobRae is also an opposites-attract couple, why are they not here? That is because Robin x Raven or RobRae, in spite of their opposite personalities with Robin’s choleric, high-strung, take-charge nature and Raven’s taciturn, pensive, mysterious aura meshing with each other, is a pairing that shows how bright, level-headed, and intelligent both Robin and Raven are not only as heroes but also as people, thus having one aspect of their relationship bringing them closely together.
With AquaBee’s and Kid Flinx’s cases, their personalities are extremely different from each other, but they can apply these differences to break the ice and appreciate each other for who they are as people.
On a personal level, I ended up pairing up these two couples rather late in my teen years and in the series proper.
In AquaBee’s case, I initially saw them as solely colleagues and nothing more. As time went on, I found myself completely intrigued to ship them as a dynamically flexible power couple.
As for Kid Flinx, I never thought about shipping them until I saw “Lightspeed” in its entirety. The idea of them being paired up as a couple, in spite of Jinx’s whole career as a villainess, was fascinating in terms of how these two interacted. It also gave an opportunity for Jinx to reflect on realizing that being a villainess is not really meant to be due to Madame Rouge berating her. Therefore, Jinx was quite encouraged by Kid Flash that she can change her ways. It was at that moment which made me root for Jinx a whole lot more and for Kid Flinx to be an item.
Aqualad x Bumblebee is the classic case of a sea and air couple with Aqualad’s marine and overall water skills wonderfully combining Bumblebee’s speed and flight to make them exceptionally formidable on and off the battlefield. It is more than just their elemental skills that make them amazing as a couple, as Aqualad’s eloquent chivalry, levelheadedness, and down-to-earth personality meshes really well with Bumblebee’s independent sass, gutsiness, proactivity, and unflinching willingness to go headfirst into battle. They can even help each other in ways they cannot imagine with Aqualad ensuring that Bumblebee does not always blow her top and Bumblebee ensuring that Aqualad learns to live life to the fullest by being more open and let loose every once in a while.
Meanwhile, Kid Flash x Jinx is one fine example of a Yin-Yang couple in which Kid Flash’s upright heroism blends with Jinx’s dangerous moral ambiguity. Ability-wise, Kid Flash’s lightning speed and Jinx’s bad luck spells can cause their enemies’ heads to spin in a visceral manner. Relationship-wise, they can see the best and the worst in each other, while encouraging each other to be better than what they are and improve on their weak spots with everything they got. There is truly never a dull moment between them and they make sure of it.
In conclusion, I can never go wrong with AquaBee and Kid Flinx being awesome example of how wonderfully their opposite personalities can find ways to make something phenomenal. Moreover, they can always find ways to see the best aspects in each other and never hold back.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
