WARNING (PLEASE READ THIS, COLOR-CODED RUFFPUFF COUPLE SHIPPERS, ESPECIALLY THE ONES WHO SHIP BLOSSICK AND BUTCHERCUP):
This screenshot de-motivational poster is entirely Anti-Blossick and Anti-Butchercup but not entirely Anti-Boomubbles, as much as I still like this particular color-coded couple. You know the drill. If you like these pairings, either avert your eyes and turn away from reading this or keep an open mind, read on, and take whatever I have said with a grain of salt.
ANTI-COLOR-CODED SHIPPERS, ANTI-COLOR-CODED FANS, PRO-BOOMUBBLES SHIPPERS, AND ESPECIALLY THE ANTI-BLOSSICK AND THE ANTI-BUTCHERCUP SHIPPERS AND FANS
Just enjoy reading this in its entirety.
As you can tell, the color-coded couples are my least favorite RuffPuff pairings of all time with Boomubbles or Boomer x Bubbles or The Blues salvaging a small inch of my interest with this set of pairings. You already know of my feelings against Blossick and Butchercup but if I say it ad nauseam, I would either pop a nerve, faint to the ground from total emotional, physical, and psychological drainage or even be contracted with terrible, terrible aneurism. I would never want that to happen to me, so let us get started.
Much like a lot of RuffPuff shippers, I used to be a color-coded couple shipper when I was in either my late-tweens to early-teens because I did not know any better back then, I used to think they looked kind of adorable, I used to think this set of pairings were the be all end all couples, and the fanart, fanfics, and general fanwork were wonderful to look at. To this day, I can still appreciate any skilled artist to make the color-code couples to come alive no matter what the medium and I salute them for their hardworking hands and concepts. However, as time went on, I became more and more jaded with Blossick, Butchercup, and, to some extent, Boomubbles, though the last one holds up pretty well to this day. It could be the multitude of fanfics I have been reading throughout the years that I gained a thorough understanding on how Blossick, Butchercup, and Boomubbles function. It could be the amount of fanart I have been viewing by courtesy of the brilliant, talented, and wonderful artists I have encountered on DeviantArt. It could be that anything related to the color-coded couples is indubitably everywhere no matter which site I go to to the point where it drives me insane.
Speaking of patterns, it seems like everywhere I turn regardless of how great or mediocre any color-code-couple fanfic is, I seem to realize what each couple has to offer. Blossick is the couple that is competitive, have moments of being in a love-hate relationship, have the occasional arguments, and have moments of belligerent sexual tension. Butchercup is the couple that is loud, competitive, love to annoy each other, and have boundless belligerent sexual tension. Finally, Boomubbles is the couple that is sweet, lovey-dovey, and the normal one out of the three color-coded couples. That is what I can gather. However, no matter how well-written any of the color-code-couple-fanfic is or how well drawings of Blossick, Butchercup, and/or Boomubbles are drawn, I can still never understand why shippers see the color-coded couples are the be all end all pairings, when there are healthier, more flexible, and more dynamic options. It also does not help that there have been color-coded couple shippers who are either pretentious in their reasoning for supporting Blossick, Butchercup, and Boomubbles, thus thinking that this set of pairings make a lot of sense in a writing viewpoint, or do not give critical reasons as to why they love the color-coded couples other than just their similarities and certain things that are rather superficial.
When one cuts down to the bone, I feel completely bored, uninterested, and drained with the color-coded couples as a whole. At worst, I am full of wrath against Blossick because of how extremely overrated this couple is and Butchercup for how truly aggravating the Greens are as a couple. At best, I am still pleased with Boomubbles because, at least the Blues have the possibility of having a stable, loving, and stress-free relationship. Sometimes I would even tell myself that one more color-code-couple-related fan work and I will scream my guts out. Not that I have anything against either the fanfic authors or the fan artists but the mere thought of knowing how the RRB x PPG fandom is overly bloated with works involving the Reds, the Greens, and the Blues is enough for me to leave me drained.
This is the reason why I have become a hardcore Brickercup, Butchubbles, and Blossoomer shipper because of how many interesting, fascinating, and diverse facets I can spot within each of these wonderful color-clash couples. Moreover, I am just as blessed to surround myself with artists and fans who are also hardcore shippers of the awesomeness that is the color-clash couples.
The color-crack couples are wonderful too but Blossutch is the one I am most passionate about. At least, Brickubbles and Boomercup are cute, sweet, and adorable. That is all.
As for the color-code couples, aside from Boomubbles, which still leaves me with some positivity in spite of its occasionally syrupy nature, I have completely given up on Blossick and Butchercup to the point where I can never bring myself to find anything great about the Reds and the Greens and keep both parties as friends and call it a day.
In conclusion, I may have been drained by the color-code couples, even though Boomubbles continues to be the last glimmer of hope for what can be salvaged from this pairing category, but I always find myself searching for inspiration in Brickercup, Butchubbles, and Blossoomer the most. Blossutch also deserves credit for being just as amazing. I have endured enough blandness from the color-code couples and I continue to heavily involve myself admiring the ground the color-clash couples walk on while finding the fun in the color-crack couples, especially Blossutch, which stands tall and proud in the color-crack category.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you all in the next submission. Take care, everybody.
