The Best of Friends and Nothing More

WARNING (PLEASE READ THIS, BOOMUBBLES SHIPPERS):
This screenshot de-motivational poster is Anti Romantic Boomubbles. If you romantically ship this pairing, either avert your eyes and do not read it or swallow your bias and feel free to read on while keeping an open mind. Please just take what I say with a grain of salt, as these are my opinions.

ANTI-BOOMUBBLES FANS, ANTI-BOOMUBBLES SHIPPERS, AND THOSE WHO JUST SHIP BOOMER AND BUBBLES AS FRIENDS
Just sit back, relax, and enjoy.

ONE MORE THING
There is going to be a few mentions of Blossoomer, Butchubbles, and a bit of Brickubbles and Boomercup thrown in the mix.
So, do look out for those tiny Pro-Blossoomer, Pro-Butchubbles, Pro-Brickercup, and teeny-tiny Pro-Blossutch and Pro-Boomercup moments as well.

I know this is going to be a very controversial post, considering how much I used to ship Boomubbles for many years as my OTP. In fact, this was actually the best color-coded couple ever. However, after becoming a more hardcore Butchubbles and Blossoomer shipper, the Blues being involved in a romantic relationship started to lose its flavor to the point where having too much of their sweetness would mean ending up with diabetes. While it was both painful and for the best to say goodbye to having Boomer and Bubbles in any form of romantic relationship, I could at least give it credit for being a nice case of a first crush with Bubbles proclaiming that Boomer is cute. Moreover, unlike Butchercup and Blossick, in which these two “couples” seem doomed from the start, Boomer and Bubbles do have their moments, even though they are extremely saccharine and sickeningly sweet.

As one can already tell, I have officially lost my mojo for shipping Boomubbles as a couple. What has made me lose that said mojo for The Blues is not only how saccharine they are together, but also how boring, overly safe, monotone, and bland they are when they end up together. Sure, they could end up being in a nice relationship where they could see each others’ positive sides, find something in common in the world of manga, anime, visual arts, and music, but what about having life partners to not only affirm that positivity but to also ensure healthy synergy in spite of their differences? This very aspect makes Boomubbles fall very flat in my eyes. However, take that particular aspect away, and one would realize that a firm, supportive friendship can still exist with the Blues. Unlike The Reds and The Greens in which they have friendly rivalries in varying extents, Boomer and Bubbles are still that massively supportive as best friends for life and their similarities display that friendship in spades.

Being the pacifistic, lovable lovelies that the Blues are, they can easily do wonders to Brick, in Bubbles’ case, and Buttercup, in Boomer’s case. Boomer can easily use his brand of sympathy, kindness, and lovability to warm Buttercup’s heart with her being very supportive of Boomer’s brand of strength and athleticism, thus inspiring him to use it well for protection and to keep the group strong. Meanwhile, Bubbles could do wonders in Brick’s life by tapping into his more sympathetic personality, his protectiveness, and his brand of support, thus making Brick do everything he can to protect her from all harm and ill will. In turn, Brick would be able to help Bubbles stand up for herself a lot more and be a whole lot more assertive. With all of these positive aspects being brought up about Boomercup and Brickubbles, these two are more akin to nostalgic schoolyard crushes, at least on Boomer’s and Bubbles’ sides of the story. Nevertheless, Boomer can be able to maintain his supportive friendship and comradeship with Buttercup and Bubbles would consider herself lucky, grateful, and happy to be Brick’s best friend for life.

Now, we get to my endgame OTP pairings for Boomer and Bubbles in the forms of Blossoomer and Butchubbles, as this is where Blossom and Butch enter the Blues’ lives to give them a whole lot more profound meaning in everything they do. These couples are where all of the balance, harmony, and synergy come into play. In Blossom’s life, Boomer would be that sweet, lovable soul who could be able to realize that Blossom may put up a perfect veneer, but he will constantly assure Blossom that she does not have to pretend nor mask anything when she is around him, she can just be herself. Therefore, one can truly see how supportive, loyal, and devoted Boomer and Blossom can be to each other. If Blossoomer is not relationship goals incarnate, I do not know what is? Speaking of relationship goals, Bubbles would always be that one person who can use her optimism, kindness, and joy to bring a lot of positivity and balance in Butch’s life. She can even do wonders in terms of tapping into Butch’s more sensitive, softer, and more lovable side whenever he protects Bubbles from all harm to even spending some quieter moments with her. Indubitably, Boomer and Bubbles certainly have their work cut out for them in terms of being with their true loves in the forms of Blossom and Butch.

In conclusion, my days of shipping Boomer and Bubbles as a couple may be way over, but, these days, making these two blue-clad, blonde-haired cuties be best friends is actually a great move. Brick may give Bubbles the protection and assertiveness she needs and Buttercup may give Boomer the well-deserved impetus to stand up for himself more often, but Butch and Blossom can ultimately create a more meaningful relationship with Bubbles and Boomer respectively. Therefore, I am never going to go back to shipping Boomubbles romantically anymore, as there are much better options for these two blue-clad blondes.

I hope you all enjoyed this Boomubbles demotivational, and I will see you in the next submission. Take care, everybody.
