This is also dedicated to all of the wonderful Blossoomer shippers and the hardcore fans of Betty-M’s very own OC Bessy. So, sit back, relax, and sit for a spell in terms of how these characters spend time together during the holidays.
As you can all tell, we have 22-year-old Bessy doing the Christmas shopping with her wards Bernadette Azalea Green and Barrett Ludovic Green, who are Boomer’s and Blossom’s extremely levelheaded 8-year-old twin children. Essentially, Bessy is the nanny to these two children. How did she come to be the nanny despite her dubious reputation and her outer shell of not liking kids? You are about to find out now.
Bessy has always lived a rough life growing up to the point where she ended up as a prostitute at only twelve years old. One day, when she was seventeen years old, Team Xtreme consisting of Brick, Butch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles found her being badly abused by her current pimp on a physical level. Even though Team Xtreme brought the pimp to justice, Bessy spat at them saying that she did not need any help and stormed off.
Things were about to change after a binge-drinking session at the pub where she does her striptease gigs. As she was about to approach home all hammered, she got badly run over by oncoming Thunderbird with Team Xtreme witnessing the terrible accident. Luckily for her, she was in hospital and realized she had to change her life for the better. As Bessy was recovering, she apologized to Brick, Butch, Boomer, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles for being ungrateful to them. They forgave her and saw that she needed another chance in life, even though she did not want to admit it. Brick, being Team Xtreme’s leader, gave Bessy two choices. Either she goes to a foster home, goes to juvenile hall for all of the misdemeanors she did from underage drinking to petty thievery or be a caretaker to any of their children.
Boomer and Blossom reasoned with Brick that Bessy deserves wards who can be able to appreciate her for who she is and see her for the surprisingly compassionate person that she was. Brick and Buttercup then made their decision and told Boomer and Blossom that Bessy can be Bernadette’s and Barrett’s carer. Bessy was initially reluctant because she was never great with children even though she came from a huge family. However, Boomer and Blossom warned her that her future was going to be at stake should Bessy return to her old prostitute ways, her former life of occasional binge drinking, and living a life of pain, regret, and emotional turmoil. Not wanting to suffer badly anymore, Bessy ended up as Bernadette’s and Barrett’s nanny.
Aside from her job as Bernadette’s and Barrett’s nanny, Bessy even went back to high school, graduated from high school, and is currently attending Townsville Community College majoring in Fashion Design. As for her relationship with Bernadette and Barrett, she was pretty fascinated with how bright and brilliant the kids really were. Sometimes she tended to find their know-it-all attitudes annoying on some occasions, but she nonetheless made sure that they were well-fed, well-clothed, and even helped them out with the crime fighting.
Every holiday season, Bessy, Bernadette, and Barrett would go to Stacy’s in order to do the Christmas shopping with Bessy in the makeup and fashion section and Bernadette and Barrett in the books section. Bessy was and will always be a major sucker for top of the line makeup products and beautiful clothes at an astounding low price, Bernadette happens to be a huge fan of classic literature ranging from authors like Edgar Allan Poe to L. Frank Baum, and Barrett loves to read science fiction novels.
Even though Bessy does not like to admit it, she really enjoys bonding with her two wards because of how communicative, kind, and bright both of them are. It also helps that Bernadette is a huge fashion, makeup, and cosmetics fan, that she always finds the time to help Bessy putting her own makeup for college or special occasions and Barrett always enjoys helping her with choosing what clothes look great on Bessy. Hence, they have a pretty good relationship with each other not just as a ward with her guardians but also as really good friends who are there for each other.
