This screenshot demotivational poster is highly, utterly, absolutely, tremendously, and indubitably Anti-Kouga to the max for reasons that you are aware of, especially if you have seen his debut episode and are still boiling with justifiable rage against his actions in that episode. Sit back, relax, and understand why I firmly believe justice should have given Kouga and his rogue wolves a nice huge dose of ownage, Karma, and execution.
Every time I go back to Episode 35, a thought sprawled onto my mind now that I have looked at this a lot more critically, especially considering that this Karma Houdini ended up becoming a recurring character just for the sake of having another fart of a love triangle. Why does Kouga still have the right to live, even though he and his gang of murderers committed a massacre and even homicide to Rin? And after his debut, why on earth did Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippou even bother to forgive him after what he did? He never owned up to his crimes and he never got punished for them. And if you call Kagura slaughtering members of Kouga’s tribe a sort of disproportionate retribution, I might buy it, but Kouga should have been the one executed because he was the one who instigated this massacre on the human village and even had his wolves pursue Rin to devour her before she was revived by Sesshoumaru’s Tenseiga.
I am sure that I can speak for everybody, when I say that my frustration, ire, and wrath on Kouga getting away scot-free with homicide are all justifiable because of how he never got any comeuppance for his actions. However, it is not just murder that I cannot forgive Kouga for, but it is also his inability to exercise his own strength without relying on the power of the Shikon Jewel shards. His cheats may have gotten him far, but when he was deprived of them, he acted like he was an addict on withdrawal at best and a brat crying for his sweets at worst. Where Inuyasha: The Final Act, I was horrified to know that Kouga abdicated his duties of avenging his fallen comrades yet ended up marrying Ayame. I just found myself screaming saying that he never ever deserved her nor any form of honor whatsoever.
Inuyasha had the right frame of mind to want to execute Kouga not only because of the Shikon Jewel shards he still had, but of the atrocity he committed. The fact that Kagome unfairly sat Inuyasha and was siding with Kouga just made my blood boil and made me want to shower Kouga with punches and kicks galore on Inuyasha’s behalf.
What about Hakkaku and Ginta? Why on earth are they still following this murderer when they should have had more honorable individuals they can look up to such as Sesshoumaru, Shuran, and Inuyasha? If I were them, I would have been repulsed and dropped off Kouga like a bad habit because he just did not own up to his actions at all. Instead, I would make it an endeavor for Hakkaku to have greater role models in Sesshoumaru and Shuran and for Ginta to find a great role model in Inuyasha, a good friend in Ayame, and a gorgeous lover girl in Shunran and just completely ditch Kouga for good and for all.
Even worse is Ayame. The mere fact that she had feelings for this convicted murderer because of some promise made years ago by him should have made her open her eyes to the atrocities he has done. Let us not forget about the one he targeted, Rin, because she was clearly traumatized by this horrific event. I can already imagine that once Ayame and Rin develop a mother-daughter bond and fully understand what was eating at Rin on the inside, Ayame would go full-on mama bear, ensure that her daughter is well-protected, and give Kouga the beating he solely deserved as well as handing him over to Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha to finish him off. At least Ayame does not have to be with that murderer, cowardly Karma Houdini, and bastard without honor.
In conclusion, Kouga never deserved to be forgiven by any stretch of the imagination. He never owned up to his crimes, he never had any comeuppance, and it is high time that he gets the comeuppance he solely deserved. One can hope for a painful execution to be handed to him once and for all. What better way for Kouga to receive his punishment than having Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha drive their iron claws into his flesh and leave him for dead.
I hope you all enjoyed this evisceration I had on Kouga the Cowardly Karma Houdini and I will see you in the next submission. Take care, stay safe, and do not ever be like Kouga the Cowardly Karma Houdini, everybody.
