You will already know that I love BBTerra to my heart’s content. Ever since I was an 11 going on 12-year-old fifth-grader about to approach the sixth grade, this was the couple which caught my unadulterated attention because of how superbly Beast Boy and Terra clicked. There was no animosity, no signs of being in a Karmic relationship, and everything about BBTerra brimmed with harmony and synergy. Despite Terra’s betrayal due to her boundless insecurities and eventual sacrifice to save Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, Robin, and Cyborg from the volcanic explosion, in which her revival should have been a continuation of where Season 2 left off, I will still cherish BBTerra as one of my most precious Teen Titans OTPs of all time. I used to pair them together because they were adorable. Nowadays, I can fully affirm that Beast Boy’s and Terra’s relationship bear the fruits of harmony, trust, authenticity, and being themselves towards each other, thus unconditionally loving each other warts and all and persevering until their last breath.
So, we have 31 going on 32-year-old Garfield “Beast Boy” Logan and his 30 going on 31-year-old wife, Tara “Terra” Markov, being the lovable, nature-loving, tree-hugging, animal-tending, flower-power couple that they are. Their love of nature is what has brought them together and they have also embraced a vegan lifestyle, which means that meat and animal products are completely and utterly off the menu not only for them, but also for their beloved children. Therefore, Beast Boy’s and Terra’s family thrive on an all-natural diet and lifestyle free from preservatives and additives, which has had a positive effect on them and their children.
After the events of Aftershock Part 2, Terra was revived by Raven and her brother, Geo-Force, through a revival spell she has learned during her time on Azarath as well as Geo-Force ensuring that no traces of earth and dust penetrated Terra, especially where dismantling Slade’s battle armor was concerned, which Robin also made sure that the nanobots did their duties in getting rid of the armor that was penetrating her body. The emotional struggle was legitimately grueling because, despite Beast Boy being the pesky little brother who kept on pestering her and Terra’s initial betrayal and redemption, she knew fully well that Beast Boy’s life would have been appalling without Terra in his life, thus doing what she could to fulfill her aloof big sister duties to him and eventually to her. Raven was not alone in comprehending how much Terra meant to Beast Boy, even with Raven feeling that Terra was almost like a pesky kid sister to her on some occasions, but her other teammates/surrogate family members also felt the pangs of what Beast Boy had to endure. Robin felt guilty for not truly understanding why Terra was so insecure about her powers and could have been the brother to truly guide her to the light. Cyborg always wanted a cool little sister to call his own and Terra reminded him of what it is like to have said sister, aside from Starfire being akin to the prim and proper yet powerful younger sister that he was so proud to have. Finally, Starfire always saw Terra not only as a best friend, but she also loved her in a way that she could be herself towards her and vice-versa.
The revived Terra was still ridden with guilt and anguish for what she has done. The very first person to soothe her was Beast Boy who was embracing her so tightly, in spite of Terra’s loud wailing, lugubrious weeping, tears flowing like crashing waterfalls, and soul-crushing angst. When the tumultuous day was done, Cyborg, Robin, Starfire, and Raven brought Beast Boy and Terra to their room, as they went to sleep knowing that Beast Boy was blessed to have his lady love back in his arms and that Terra was truly loved by him and her true family. Terra’s emotional recovery was not easy, as it took weeks and months for her to have that sparkle in her eye again. Even as Geo-Force welcomed his younger sister with open arms in order for her to return back to their home planet, Terra was resolute in her decision. She stated to Geo-Force that for all of her life she was running away because she thought that it was her fault that these natural disasters kept on occurring. Now, after what seemed to be an eternity of finding someone to care for her, she found her true family in her boyfriend, Beast Boy, her surrogate older brothers, Cyborg and Robin, and her surrogate older sisters, Starfire and Raven. Geo-Force was quite sad that he could no longer have Terra return to him, but he was happy to know that she found her own path with the people she considers to be important. Geo-Force gave his blessings to both Beast Boy and Terra to thrive as a loving couple, as he jetted off back to his home planet.
Thereafter, Terra began to show signs of feeling like her former cool, bubbly, outgoing self, as she made sure that her powers were controlled in the right way. Not only did she have her boyfriend to encourage her, but also her older siblings from other mothers to make sure that she does not ever give up on herself. This newfound confidence gave Terra the ability to aid Robin in stopping Starfire’s wedding with Glgrdsklechhh and expose Blackfire for the evil tyrant she was, confront Beast Boy about his change in attitude when he was doused with the chemicals in the animal testing laboratory while fighting Adonis, who in turn said a lame rock pun to her causing her to make the earth under his feet nearly swallow him, and even comfort Beast Boy about his foolish decisions, comprehend the depth of Raven’s passions in reading dark literature, especially when Malchior attempted to trick her into releasing him, find herself in some bizarre situations with Mumbo and Mother Mae-Eye from being turned into a ferret in his universe to having herself be fed Mother Mae-Eye’s pie, wearing a ridiculously posh frock with pink satin frills and pink ribbons tied on her hair, finding herself dismantling all the illusions Mad Mod had to offer, find herself in Robin’s garb when he had to go train with Chu-hui, joining forces with Titans East to defeat Brother Blood and the members of the H.I.V.E. academy, confronting her demonic self when Trigon attempted to take over the world and let it be shrouded in eternally hellish darkness in order to fulfill a prophecy involving Raven, becoming fully acquainted with Beast Boy’s former family, The Doom Patrol, and what he used to be like before joining the Teen Titans, thus hammering home the importance of how grateful she is to have a family in the Titans, and using her powers to call on all of the Teen Titans of the world in order to defeat Brother Blood and the Brotherhood of Evil. All of these signified that Terra’s purpose in life was lived to the fullest.
With all of the adventures she, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, Robin, and Cyborg had together, hers and Beast Boy’s relationship came to completely full bloom when they were in Tokyo to stop Brushogun. Sure, Beast Boy did have a fling with some fan girls when he was singing karaoke and Terra did catch the attention of a crowd of young single men wanting to ask her out on a date because they thought she was so attractive and so cool, but not even these vignettes were enough to sever the relationship both Beast Boy and Terra worked very hard for. In fact, it even got to the point when Beast Boy got down on one knee and proposed to her, despite him being 14 years old and her being 13 years old. Terra was completely speechless, but she accepted Beast Boy’s proposal with open arms and they were engaged. After Brushogun’s defeat, they broke the news to Cyborg, Robin, Starfire, and Raven who were really happy for them.
It took until the summer of 2006, when Beastboy was about to reach 17 years old and Terra was about to reach 16 years old, for them to finally tie the knot. This was fantastic news for them, as their lives were complete with each other. It even got to the point when Terra announced that she was pregnant with triplets. Terra being in labor was utterly grueling and agonizing, considering the dilation process and the restraint she needed in order for their darling triplets to be born. After enduring such an excruciating process, Terra gave birth to triplet sons christened as Garrett, Harlan, and Ishmael who bore their father’s skin color, with Garrett bearing his father’s hair color, Harlan bearing a blondish green hair color, and Ishmael bearing his mother’s blond hair. In terms of skills, Garrett can shape shift into different animals while manipulating earth, Harlan can change into various animals and control various plants, and Ishmael can control the earth under him and can even transform into various animals.
With Beast Boy and Terra continuing to adopt a vegan, nature-loving, tree-hugging lifestyle, they made it their duty to ensure that their children would grow in superb health, imperative balance, and the importance of preserving the environment. Aside from being the parents to 14 going on 15-year-old triplet sons Garrett, Harlan, and Ishmael, they are also parents to 13 going on 14-year-old triplet sons Kenneth, Kyle, and Kieran, 12 going on 13-year-old twin daughters Jessica and Jade, 11 going on 12-year-old twin daughters Claire and Chloe, and 10 going on 11-year-old twin daughters Georgina and Hannah. Together, they are one loving, prosperous, synergetic family who know what is truly good for the environment and will always protect their animal friends from looters, poachers, and other scumbags who dare destroy the environment. Furthermore, they would see to it that the earth will continue to be a great place for you and me to live in.
In conclusion, it says something that the birds, bees, and butterflies agree with me that Beast Boy and Terra make such a harmoniously loving couple. Furthermore, Beast Boy and Terra pass on that importance of harmony and synergy to their children, thus making the entire scope of their family a very healthy one and one which will last for millennia to come.
I just want to thank BrickercupMasterX3 for giving me the opportunity to partake in this contest. I felt like I gave it my all. Even if I do not win anything at all, I am still so blessed to have displayed three of my most favorite OTPs from different series aside from the one I have already considered to be my comfort zone. I figured that BBTerra was the OTP I wrapped up my Multi-Fandom OTP entries with and I am so happy to have done so because I grew with this pairing as a child and I continue to cherish and love BBTerra as an adult for the genuineness and compassion it represents. Therefore, I am so grateful to have partaken in this and I am ecstatic to have done so.
