This screenshot motivational poster is highly Pro-Sesshoumaru x Shuran x Hakkaku in the BroT3 sense, Pro-Inuyasha x Ginta in the BroTP sense, and Pro-Ayame x Shunran in the BroTP sense with the usual SessAyaInu in the OT3 sense, ShuHak in the BroTP sense, and GinShun in the OTP sense. Sit back, relax, and soak in Sesshoumaru’s fine friendship with Shuran and Hakkaku, Inuyasha’s big brother relationship with Ginta, and Ayame’s lovingly sisterly relationship with Shunran. Furthermore, this is my contribution to this year’s Red Ribbon Reviewers’ month.
Behold, my dear readers, I have before you my three main platonic pairings in my Inuyasha AU headcanon. At the top, we have the absolutely dynamic trio of brotherly friends in the form of Sesshoumaru, Shuran, and Hakkaku. At the left bottom side, we have the lovably fraternal relationship blooming between Inuyasha and Ginta. Finally, at the right bottom side, we have the sweetly sisterly relationship flourishing between Ayame and Shunran. You will notice a certain pattern in terms of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame being the designated main trio with Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, and Shunran respectively looking up to them. However, it is a lot more than that, as they truly are a family of warriors who have each others’ backs.
There is no doubt that both Shuran and Hakkaku admire Sesshoumaru for his strength, stealth, stamina, and determination. When it comes to focus, conscientiousness, and prioritizing what attacks he can use on his enemies, Shuran and Hakkaku definitely have Sesshoumaru to look up to with all of their beings. Sesshoumaru is more than just the super strong warrior, as he reminds Shuran that there should be more to his attacks than just mere muscle and Hakkaku that he needs to maintain a focused mind if he wants to ensure a well-earned victory. Shuran and Hakkaku would do just that and would even remind Sesshoumaru that he can let loose every once in a while, which would make him rather skeptical about that notion. Nevertheless, there is that genuine sense of support they have for each other and they can balance each other out quite well.
Inuyasha and Ginta are best friend and brother-from-another-mother goals, with Inuyasha functioning as the super strong, super fierce, super tough older brother to Ginta’s sweet, charming, handsome, lovable younger brother. They respect each other in a way that is profound, such as Inuyasha seeing a kind, understanding, fun-loving soul in Ginta and Ginta seeing beyond Inuyasha as a hanyou and realizing how much of a loyal, courageous, determined individual he is. They bear a relationship which a lot of brothers and best friends would envy, considering the great amount of support, admiration, and compassion they have for each other. Ginta admires Inuyasha for his never-give-up attitude, super strength, and willingness to go head-on into battle, while Inuyasha admires how attentive and supportive Ginta can be, as if Inuyasha was the big brother Ginta needed and Ginta was the little brother Inuyasha loved having around.
Ayame and Shunran are the closest of friends to the point where one would easily mistake them to be sisters because of everything they represent. Overlooking the high amounts of girl time Ayame and Shunran have together from enjoying walks in a flowery forest, swimming and diving in a lake, adorning each other in flower crowns, and chatting about the latest news to their hearts’ content, they are also formidable lasses who can kick loads of butt and will not allow anyone to walk all over them and they are unafraid of speaking their minds. One should also not forget about the boundless respect and admiration they have for each other. Ayame may not have sisters of her own, but she can easily consider Shunran as her younger surrogate sister because of how much joy and positivity she brings into her life. Though Shunran has siblings of her own, she has a profound sense of respect for Ayame and admires her courage and determination.
All these three platonic pairings also have their favorite physical activities.
Sesshoumaru, Shuran, and Hakkaku enjoy practicing various martial arts ranging from Pankration to karate to kickboxing to wrestling, sparring each other, and Shuran and Hakkaku have found a certain joy doing meditation sessions with Sesshoumaru, which he does not mind at all.
Inuyasha and Ginta enjoy weightlifting, circuit training, having posedowns, wrestling, swimming, running marathons, and testing each others’ strength. These two friends enjoy a lot of physical competitions to the point where Ginta admires Inuyasha for his Herculean strength and Inuyasha finds Ginta’s speed, agility, and surprising amount of strength truly phenomenal.
Ayame and Shunran enjoy running marathons, doing gymnastics, having sparring sessions in kickboxing, boxing, karate, grappling, and many other martial arts, taking meditative walks in forests, and circuit training. When these ladies want to find something to unwind, they would commit to meditating as a means to clear their minds of clutter.
On a grander scale, these three friendships impose a striking effect on their children, as their friendships are just as strong as their parents’, i.e. Kohaku, Shintaro, Taichi, and Souta being best friends with Dai, Roku, and Kai and Rin, Shiori, Saki, and Kanna being best friends with Moegi, Satsuki, and Sayo.
In conclusion, Sesshoumaru x Shuran x Hakkaku, Inuyasha x Ginta, and Ayame x Shunran are three platonic pairings I will definitely love until my dying day. There is so much good to be found in them and I will never part from them.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care, stay safe, and Happy Holidays, everybody.
