This screenshot collage motivational poster is dedicated to all of my Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, Dai, Roku, Kai, Rin, Shiori, Shinta, Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha-loving friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren as well as everyone who ships Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha with Ayame and vice versa so hard with every fiber of their being. Sit back, relax, and soak in just how awesome Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and Ayame’s family would be not only with their six adopted children consisting of Dai, Roku, Kai, Rin, Shiori, and Shinta and their youngest biological daughters Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha, but also the children I have created for Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame namely the eldest sextuplet sons Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu, the second eldest sextuplet sons Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito, the younger triplet daughters Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto, and the second younger triplet daughters Maya, Minako, and Meika.
It says something when The Wolf Elder and The Dog General ended up really proud of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame for making a strong foundation in their family, bringing honor to the Northern Yoro Tribe as well as the Western Lands, and raising an army of children phenomenally well to the point where they can take down any enemy with their strength, might, endurance, power, and loads of guts, valor, and determination. Moreover, things have been quite interesting for this family consisting of two strong, mighty, determined patriarchs, one independent, high-strung, loving matriarch, and a whole host of children ranging from full yokai to hanyous to one human girl who is extremely proud to be the daughter of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame as well as the sister to a host of equally powerful siblings.
The mere fact that I made our favorite dog yokai warrior brothers be in a lovingly polyamorous relationship with our favorite wolf yokai warrior princess worked in a rather fascinating manner. This is because I can find the best of both worlds when it comes to SessAya’s brand of nobility, trust, and demonstrating a willingness to break each others’ ice walls down and InuAya’s brand of genuineness, strength, and unconditional love. Therefore, Sesshoumaru x Ayame x Inuyasha is not only appealing because this OT3 looks amazing together, but also because there is a lot of positivity, loyalty, unity, and a surprising amount of compassion to be found in Ayame being Sesshoumaru’s and Inuyasha’s one and only as well as their loving wife.
This is also coming from someone who has done a fair bit of research on polyamorous and polygamous relationships. As someone who is quite neutral to these types of relationships, I am just going to give my two cents and state that it is always the person’s choice. How I see it work in Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame and their dynamics in a three-way relationship is that will be fraught with difficulties, challenges, and strife. Nevertheless, they would push through with sheer willpower and an awareness that they will stay together no matter what happens to them or their family.
I could see their children, both biological and adopted, looking up to their parents as role models because of Sesshoumaru’s valor, nobility, lethal accuracy, passion for self-defense, and conscientiousness of his opponents’ attacks, Inuyasha’s super strength, excellent physical endurance, mighty muscles, and overall toughness, and Ayame’s determination, willingness to protect the disenfranchised and the jaded, an undying passion for fighting for glory, justice, honor, and truth, and unwavering resolve. All of these traits would be implanted on them in order to bring dignity and fortitude to their family, their tribe, and the next generations to come.
As I stated before, with the release of Hanyo no Yashahime underway, I decided to do the unthinkable and make Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha the youngest triplet daughters of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame, thus making them full-fledged sisters instead of just having Towa and Setsuna be twins and Moroha their cousin. I figure that this will bring a legitimately familial close between these three young women.
With a family consisting of two fathers, one mom, and an army of children, their roles would be fulfilled as follows. I will also be using their ages from what they used to be when Inuyasha was first aired in 2000, which is ten years before the main action of Hanyo no Yashahime.
19-year-old Sesshoumaru is the no-nonsense, strict, protective, and strong-minded elder patriarch of the house who runs a tight ship and ensures respect, discipline, responsibility, and honesty to form the cornerstone of their family. He does his very best to be an exceptional father to his children, a competitive older brother to Inuyasha because they enjoy sparring with each other and testing their strength, and a loyal, noble, loving husband to Ayame who he considers her to be a valuable member of the family as well as a woman who is courageous enough to take on the world. Sometimes he does take his duty as a father and as a husband too seriously, but he knows fully well that if his children are to grow up strong, healthy, and well, they must abide by the rules and live a life based on the straight and narrow. At least, he does have Inuyasha and Ayame to loosen him up every once in a while. His routine with the children involves a daily session of martial arts such as boxing, kickboxing, judo, battojutsu, Pankration, Tai Chi, and teaching them about pressure points, meditation, and yoga to ensure that the children have a healthy body, mind, and soul.
17-year-old Inuyasha is the rough and tumble, super strong, super fierce, and courageous younger patriarch of the house who takes no crap from anyone and inspires his own brand of tough love to surge through the children’s every being. He does enjoy competing with Sesshoumaru in a huge array of physical activities from Greco-Roman wrestling to kickboxing to weightlifting and is always proud of his muscles doing the job, with Sesshoumaru smirking and stating to Inuyasha that his muscles may get him far but he needs to fix his head a bit, thus having a tight-knit brotherly bond based on tough love. Much like Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha also values and loves Ayame so much because of her determination, compassion, kindness, and independence. As a father to the children, he does have a bit of time to be a pal to them, but he never forgets his parental duties to ensure that they remain in the straight and narrow and never ever back down no matter what the circumstance may be. Cowardice is something Inuyasha cannot stomach, which has made him gain Sesshoumaru’s respect and Ayame’s undying love. As for Inuyasha’s overall relationship with his older brother Sesshoumaru and his wife Ayame, they continue to maintain their strong, exceptional, and dynamic bond with each other through thick and thin. Inuyasha’s daily routine with the children, especially with his sons, involves a lot of weightlifting, wrestling, Pankration, and bodybuilding sessions to ensure that their muscles and peak physical strength stay intact. Whereas with his daughters, especially his favorite ones Rin and Shiori, he enjoys having boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling sessions with them to the point where they end up dog-piling on Inuyasha.
15-year-old Ayame is the determined, focused, tough, loving, loyal, and enthusiastic matriarch of the house who instills compassion, kindness, valor, and truthfulness to be the bedrocks that constitute their family. She has always loved both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha body, soul, and mind because of how extremely loyal they have been to her ever since they were very young children. Her christening was a tell-tale sign that she was meant to be by Sesshoumaru’s and Inuyasha’s side and thanks to her superb character and how much she was able to prove herself, she got her wish and fulfilled her life with prosperity. As a fighter, she is never afraid to get her hands dirty and will always give her opponents the knuckle sandwich they truly deserve. As a matriarch, she lays down the law of what her children should and should not do, and with the help of her beloved husbands, she has managed to make sure that a tight ship was constantly running in their family. Ergo, she accomplishes her duty as a mother and as a wife with indubitable aplomb. Sesshoumaru truly respects Ayame’s capabilities as a fighter and as an independent woman and Ayame deeply respects Sesshoumaru for his nobility. Inuyasha wholly loves Ayame and her strength, compassion, and attentiveness and Ayame loves Inuyasha for his courage, determination, and willingness to keep getting stronger. Ayame’s daily routine with the children involves sparring matches in boxing, kickboxing, jujitsu, and Muay Thai, hunting for food, swimming in the lake or river, running marathons in the forest, and doing acrobatics especially with her daughters to ensure that strength and agility are one.
11-year-olds Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu are the first eldest muscle sextuplet sons of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame whose personalities bear a striking resemblance to Sesshoumaru’s cool, calm, collected demeanor with heaps of lethal accuracy and pure strength to be found in their exceptional combat prowess. Motoharu is basically Sesshoumaru’s mini-me with his cool, calm, collected demeanor and the determination he emits in battle as well as being the overall eldest of the family who knows how to make awesome judo flips towards his foes. Matsuhige is the reflective yet dangerous one who may enjoy a lot of serenity, but once someone is brazen enough to provoke, he will unleash his unbridled, feral side on the perpetrator by clawing him where it hurts the most. Mitsuhide is the boy scout who does his best to be the most well-behaved and is always coming up with effective tactics to lead his family and the tribe to victory. Masataka is the muscle of this sextet of warriors, as he enjoys putting his enemies in a headlock and loves lifting weights to increase his strength and muscles. Masaya is just as much of a muscle as Masataka, as he considers him his favorite brother in the whole wide world and love competing with him in wrestling, kickboxing, and boxing. Motomu is the calm, meditative one who enjoys quiet walks in forests and hates being disturbed because he can get furious if someone were to push his buttons. Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu may love and respect Inuyasha and Ayame, but they love, respect, look up to, and emulate Sesshoumaru as their role model because of how much discipline he has instilled upon them as well as giving them the will to think and live for themselves with steadfastness and an unwavering resolve and the fact that they enjoy sparring with him. A custom Sesshoumaru, Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu would do is a sparring match after they wake up and before they go to bed. At the crack of dawn, Sesshoumaru would enter his eldest sons’ chambers greeting them while cracking his knuckles, rolling his shoulders, and getting his stance ready. His sons would respond by throwing the first few punches and kicks at him before deflecting them to deliver a couple of huge ones to them, thus commencing quite a scuffle before breakfast. After that, Sesshoumaru, Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu would bow to each other in reverence, thus thanking each other for a great battle.
10-year-olds Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito are the second eldest muscle sextuplet sons of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame whose traits take up after Inuyasha’s strength, resilience, rough and tumble attitude, and love for getting physical because of how they are the muscles of the family and will never take any prisoners. Kenta is the big, strong, tough guy of this set of sextuplets who enjoys exuding his super strength and muscles for the world to witness. Keita is just as much of a big, strong, tough guy as Kenta but is slightly more chivalrous, though it does not stop him from having a lot of fun sparring and wrestling sessions and posedowns with his bro for life. Kuma, based on his name meaning “bear”, is the rough and tumble, super strong muscle who loves an exceptional fight whether it is against his foes or with his most beloved brothers and does have a nice, soft inside underneath his big, brawny outer shell. Kouta is resilience and endurance incarnate as his fists, claws, super strength, and muscles can rip his foes a new one. Kazuhiko is the nature-loving tree-hugger of the sextuplets who has a deep and meaningful respect for nature and also loves to get physical with activities such as weightlifting, wrestling, and swimming. Kaito is an animal-loving nature warrior who enjoys the solemnity of the forest but does not like it when anyone is so brazen to thrash the environment. Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito have a really tight bond with Inuyasha because they are his most favorite sons, given all of the sparring, wrestling, posedowns, and roaring they would do together. They also love Sesshoumaru for his focus and determination and Ayame for her grace and directness. Their favorite routine to do with Inuyasha is their early morning sparring akin to what Sesshoumaru does with their eldest brothers. Inuyasha would greet his beloved sons flexing his muscles and growling at them and they would flex back at him, all while Inuyasha remarks how much stronger they are getting by the day. A wrestling match would commence complete with roaring, headlocks, bear-hugs, back-breakers, suplexes, sleeper holds, and lifts. To make it more interesting, Inuyasha would transform into his full yokai form and his sons will follow suit. Their rowdy sparring match would end with Inuyasha, Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito laughing to their heart’s content and giving each other a huge hug for a job well done.
10-year-old twins Dai and Roku are the eldest adopted sons of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who do have the tendency to be mouthy, but deep down they care for their siblings and for their family as well as having the desire to become stronger warriors. They aspire to be just as focused as Sesshoumaru, as strong as Inuyasha, and as fast as Ayame and they would enjoy training with their beloved parents. Whenever sass would come out of their mouths, they would end up getting a straight talking to by Sesshoumaru of how to be more respectful lest they anger Inuyasha and Ayame. Dai and Roku would immediately behave and compose themselves well because they know fully well that good conduct and reverence are the keys to make sure that they are not led astray.
10-year-old Kai is the second eldest adopted son of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who has a strong desire to emulate his three parents and be a role model to his younger siblings, especially to Rin, Shiori, Shinta, Momoko, Makoto, Mikoto, Maya, Minako, Meika, Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha. He has the staunchness, motivation, courage, hope, passion, and ambition to make sure nothing goes wrong at home and has the unwavering discipline to become a much greater warrior than he already is. Thanks to Sesshoumaru’s determination, Inuyasha’s super strength, and Ayame’s resilience he knows fully well that he has the greatest role models any warrior can ever ask for.
8-year-old Rin is the eldest adopted daughter of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who embraces all forms of life, is willing to heal anybody who is injured, and is the light, heart, and soul of the family. Being the only human does not make her weak in her parents’ eyes. In fact, it is her kindness, compassion, and willingness to listen that make her a great daughter in their eyes. There is no shadow of a doubt that Rin feels a genuine closeness to father number one in the form of Sesshoumaru because his valor, his composure, and his strong will are what make him excellent in her young eyes. Furthermore, she cherishes Inuyasha as a great role model because of his super strength, iron will, superb athletic prowess, and peerless skills as a combatant, which are all the traits she emulates to be from him. Finally, Ayame is the mother Rin always wanted because of how resilient, determined, and independent she is as a person and as a fighter. Ever since Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame saved her from Kouga and his rogue wolves, Rin felt completely indebted to them and considers herself the daughter they are so blessed to have.
8-year-old Shiori is the younger adopted daughter of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who is the healer and the kind-hearted soul of the family. Before Shiori’s biological mother Shizu transcended the flesh to be reunited with her husband after being attacked by rogue bat demons, Shizu entrusted Shiori to Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame to be her parents. Ever since then, Shiori was blessed to have two fathers and one mother in her life who can help her grow in dignity and fortitude. Sesshoumaru taught her everything she needed to know about standing her ground and never faltering against the enemy. Inuyasha, who she has the closest relationship with as his favorite daughter next to Rin, showed her the ropes of how to turn her shortcomings and weaknesses into strengths she can be proud of. Ayame always made sure that Shiori was independent and did not need anyone to save her if she is to fight like the strong warrior she wants to be.
7-year-old Shinta is the youngest adopted son of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who is the cheery, lovable, fun-loving cherub of his parents’ eyes and the one his siblings love to have fun with the most. Out of all his brothers, he does look up to Kai the most because of his strong will power, but he also admires Dai and Roku for their dry sense of humor, Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito for their super strength, and Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu for their strong fighting spirits. He loves his parents all the same and looks up to them so much from Sesshoumaru’s gallant valor to Inuyasha’s rough and tumble brand of super strength to Ayame’s unwavering determination. If there is one piece of philosophy that defines his relationship with his family, it has to be that everyone is in it together in times of triumph and in times of strife.
6-year-olds Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto are the younger triplet daughters of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who take after Ayame’s brand of resilience, determination, and fearlessness and they always love to spar with the boys. Momoko is the excitable and enthusiastic elder daughter who loves to live life to the fullest. Makoto is the rough and tumble tomboy whose super strength should never make her underestimated. Mikoto is the poised and focused one whose pinpoint accuracy and lethal gestures make her a force to be reckoned with. Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto certainly have a tight bond as sisters, as these girls are inseparable from start to finish and nothing can break their sisterly bond even if anyone bothered to try. What makes them truly formidable is that they are a wonderful marriage of beastly strength and florid agility in their movements and in all of their attacks. This is because they not only love Sesshoumaru’s and Inuyasha’s brand of super strength and great combat prowess, but they also endeavor to emulate Ayame’s determination, unwavering resolve, and nerves of steel.
5-year-olds Maya, Minako, and Meika are the second younger triplet daughters of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who take after Ayame’s unwavering determination and love for nature while also being quite the little firecrackers that they are. Maya is the cheery, lovable Genki girl of this trio who enjoys a great fight against her opponents. Minako is the outgoing, fun-loving girl who loves having adventures and competing against foes much bigger than her. Meika is the meditative young soul who feels at peace with nature and enjoys taking walks in the forest as well as a good swim in the lake. Together, these young ladies have a bond that would make the best of friends turn green with envy. While they truly love Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha because of their courage, sheer power, and sheer strength, these girls look up to Ayame the most because of how much of a great influence she has played in their lives as strong young women who can take on the world. Ayame’s daily routine with Momoko, Makoto, Mikoto, Maya, Minako, and Meika starts off with Ayame sneaking up to their room. Little does she know, her daughters are ready to have a great sparring match with their mother complete with a barrage of kicks, punches, and flips as well as a marathon run all throughout their cave. After that match, Ayame would smile at her daughters and congratulate them for a job greatly done by first giving them a high-five and hugs galore.
4-year-olds Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha are the youngest triplet daughters of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame who are an amazing combination of Sesshoumaru’s strong will, Inuyasha’s rough and tumble brand of super strength, and Ayame’s unquestionable resilience. For three young girls who are still so small, they have all of these positive attributes, which will one day make them great warriors from Towa’s conscientiousness to Setsuna’s unparalleled combat prowess to Moroha’s super strong spirit. These young ladies also bear a really tight bond with Towa’s down-to-earth personality blending phenomenally with Setsuna’s taciturn nature and Moroha’s lovable rowdiness. Even though they are the youngest of this family, Towa and Setsuna do act a lot more mature for their age with Moroha being the true baby of the family. Towa and Setsuna would love to be a focused as Sesshoumaru and Moroha would love to be as formidable and powerful as both Inuyasha and Ayame.
This tremendously huge family have unity, formidability, and fortitude written all over the stone walls of their cave home. Furthermore, enemies better beware, for when they come to do battle, they have the fists, claws, strength, and stamina to take anybody down. They even have roars which can rival any lion, tiger, leopard, and jaguar, especially when Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Ayame, Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, Motomu, Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, and Kaito turn into their full yokai forms with the rest of their family following suit. As victory dawns upon this family, a huge feast would usually come into full swing in honor of their great accomplishments.
Nowadays, with Sesshoumaru at age 39, Inuyasha at age 37, and Ayame at age 35, all of their children 31-year-olds Motoharu, Matsuhige, Mitsuhide, Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu, 30-year-olds Kenta, Keita, Kuma, Kouta, Kazuhiko, Kaito, Dai, Roku, and Kai, 28-year-olds Rin and Shiori, 27-year-old Shinta, 26-year-olds Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto, 25-year-olds Maya, Minako, and Meika, and 24-year-olds Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha ended up married and having children of their own all while keeping the good family name intact. As for Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Ayame, they continue to be as strong, fit, and powerful as ever, thus living their dreams of watching their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren grow into equally strong, powerful, and amazing warriors.
I hope you all enjoyed this insight into Sesshoumaru’s, Inuyasha’s, and Ayame’s mighty family and I hope to see you again real soon. Take care and stay safe, everybody.
