This demotivational poster is highly Anti-InuKag and highly Anti-Kagome. For those of you who like InuKag and/or Kagome, either avert your eyes from this post or take what I have to state with a grain of salt. As for everybody else, I hope you all revel in the evisceration I am willing to dish out on InuKag my most hated NOTP ever and Kagome the puerile manipulator.
Ah, Inuyasha Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler, one of my most favorite of Inuyasha movies of all time. I really enjoyed how much depth and development Inu No Taisho had and the development both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha had as brothers. However, this movie and the previous two were spoiled by Kagome sitting Inuyasha, and this particular movie took it up to eleven with Kagome reassembling the Beads of Subjugation to place it back on Inuyasha after they were destroyed during mid-battle against So’unga and Setsuna no Takemaru. Kagome’s crummy reasoning was just because she did not want to see Inuyasha run off on his own again, but she clearly does not trust him in the slightest.
Aside from Episode 109 being an absolute hair-puller, this was the other moment which made me truly despise InuKag and, yes, Kagome Higurashi as a whole! Back when I was fourteen years old and first tuning into the movie, I was completely enraged to see that Kagome would pull off that stunt on Inuyasha and still treat him like her own freaking pet. The whole shtick of Kagome sitting Inuyasha was starting to get really old after just a few episodes to the point where I found those moments extremely unfunny. I even blame Kaede for this malarkey, as Kagome ended up using the Beads of Subjugation as a means to assert her dominance instead of using it as protection and show restraint.
To conclude, I am going to out on a limb here and say that this was the very moment which made me very fed up with InuKag as a whole and Kagome as a character. This deserves the Razzie award for going back to the status quo of Inuyasha being nothing more than Kagome’s pet, making InuKag one of the most toxic pairings I have ever seen, and making Kagome the hugest jackass I have ever witnessed.
