You thought Xena was done taking down villains and scumbags? Think again because there is one other casualty on her body count list.
Today’s casualty is none other than Hiten of the Thunder Yokai Tribe.
Hiten is one of my other favorite Inuyasha villains, considering how charismatic, charming yet utterly sadistic he is. In spite of his sadism, he does care for his younger brother Manten, who although is different in appearance can still look up to Hiten with as much respect as possible.
There was one deed which made Hiten and Manten infamous, and that was the murder of Shippou’s biological father. In turn, his fur ended up being used as a pelt for Manten, which spurred Shippou on to want to avenge his death, even though he is certainly no fighter to begin with.
That is not the only atrocity he and Manten have done, as they have their fair share of slaughtering innocent people for the sake of glory, conquest, power, and even just for their own amusement. Therefore, their usage of the Shikon Jewel shards was branded as nothing more than abusive and showed how much corruption these two brothers had thanks to that item.
This is where our favorite warrior princess of Amphipolis comes in to thrash Hiten once and for all. She has heard many a tale of this Thunder Yokai and his powerful pike mostly from young women both human and youkai. If there is one thing that boils Xena’s blood, it would have to be anyone who uses a sacred item for their own gain and sick amusement. Guess where Hiten falls under.
Hiten would prove himself to be a great challenge to Xena, given the power he has. Not to worry, though, as Xena has her chakram to take his flying wheels down and her sword to split his beloved pike in half.
Hiten no longer has a prayer, as Xena would threaten to cut Hiten in half, but she would give him an ultimatum. She would tell him that should he continue to pursue glory and conquest for his own petty means, he would be dead. Should he repent, she would set him free. However, since he does care for his family, she would let him go with a warning.
This would make Xena kick him in his family jewels and have a few jabs for good measure to make sure his handsome face will not cause harm to anyone.
