This motivational poster is dedicated to all of my InuAya-shipping friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren. So, sit back, relax, and soak in that InuAya awesomeness and beauty.
I believe I speak for everyone when I say that Inuyasha x Ayame is a couple that needs a lot more love because of how rare this pairing is in the fandom, how interesting Inuyasha and Ayame can play off of each other, and, most of all, how surprisingly and wonderfully healthy their relationship would be.
That means, no love triangles akin to watching a soap-opera, no hot and heavy emotional baggage, no obnoxious arguing for petty reasons, and, best of all, no more abusive “sit, boy” commands by courtesy of the Beads of Subjugation, which may have served its purpose for both protection and hilarity in the first few episodes but it all wears so thinly in the later episodes and the movies. In their places are a wonderfully healthy, stress-free, ever-developing relationship between our favorite dog hanyou king and his beloved Northern Yoro queen, loads of butt-kicking from these two toughies, and some steamy yet awesome sexual tension between Inuyasha and Ayame. Moreover, Ayame would still continue to accept Inuyasha as a hanyou, while also being in awe of how he transforms into his yokai form to protect her from danger and witness how super strong he is in this particular form.
This motivational poster takes up where the previous one left off, as I will discuss how Inuyasha’s and Ayame’s relationship with each other has continued to blossom from pre-adolescence until their current adult years, at least in my headcanon.
The adolescent years were when Inuyasha and Ayame reached the peak of their relationship. Between the ages of 13 and 17, Inuyasha grew up to be a strong fighter who made all of his enemies tremble thanks to his brute strength, furious fists, lean muscles, lightning speed, sharp claws, and fangs of steel. Between the ages of 10 and 14, Ayame grew up to be a beautiful yet formidable warrior who also made her enemies tremble thanks to her agility, strength, peerless combat prowess, boundless athleticism, and fierce determination. Together, they have gained the respect of their friends, frenemies, and enemies as a most formidable couple.
By the time Inuyasha was 15 and Ayame was 12, they were engaged, thus making Ayame really excited to permanently have Inuyasha be a part of her life. Wanting to make sure that Inuyasha was worthy of Ayame’s hand in marriage, Ayame’s grandfather issued Inuyasha a challenge. He has to fight the giant boar demon that has been terrorizing their village. Inuyasha willingly accepted the challenge and used his strength, speed, claws, and fangs to take down the demon, thus using its meat to serve at a big feast. Ayame was so proud of her husband-to-be that after the feast they consummated their feelings.
By the time Inuyasha was 16 and Ayame was 13, they were happily wed by Ayame’s own grandfather. Shuran, Hakkaku, Ginta, Kohaku, Kai, Hakudosuhi, and Souta were the best men, Ayumi, Karan, Shunran, Rin, Shiori, Satsuki, and Kanna were the maids-of-honor, Shinta and Shippou were the ring-bearers, Ai and Souten were the flower maidens, and Toran was the one who blessed the newlyweds. Among the guests were Totosai, Myoga, Jaken, Kuranosuke Takeda, Sesshoumaru, Miroku, Kouga, Bankotsu, Kaguya, Kagura, Kikyou Sango, and Kagome who were rather overjoyed to see Inuyasha happy with his most beloved wife Ayame. As soon as Inuyasha and Ayame tied the knot, Sesshoumaru even told Inuyasha how proud he was that he chose Ayame to be his wife and gave him brotherly advice to protect and love her unconditionally, for he knew that Inuyasha and Ayame were meant to be.
Inuyasha’s and Ayame’s honeymoon was spent near a secluded lake where Ayame also found out that she was pregnant with twins and even adopted Dai and Roku as their own sons.
The now 36-year-old Inuyasha and the now 33-year-old Ayame are the proud parents of 28-year-old adopted twin sons Dai and Roku, 20-year-old triplet sons Masataka, Masaya, and Motomu, 19-year-old twin sons Kenta and Keita, 18-year-old twin sons Kazuhiko and Kaito, 16-year-old triplet daughters Momoko, Makoto, and Mikoto, 15-year-old twin daughters Maya and Minako. As one can tell, their children have grown up to be strong, tough, courageous fighters who show a lot of guts in battle.
As for Inuyasha and Ayame as a couple, they continue to be in such a loving, encouraging relationship.
I hope you all enjoyed this and I will see you in the next submission. Take care, everybody.
